Full Version: Title Screen issue

I have recently began to dabble again with RMVX and I seem to recall that there was something somewhere (whether it be a script or a simple edit) which allows the Command Window to be moved around the title screen.

I ask because I want my Command Window to be to the left of the screen and have no scripting knowledge on how to go about this. Any help is greatly appreciated!

In Scene_Title script:

CODE
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  # * Create Command Window
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  def create_command_window
    s1 = Vocab::new_game
    s2 = Vocab::continue
    s3 = Vocab::shutdown
    @command_window = Window_Command.new(172, [s1, s2, s3])
    @command_window.x = (544 - @command_window.width) / 2
    @command_window.y = 288
    if @continue_enabled                    # If continue is enabled
      @command_window.index = 1             # Move cursor over command
    else                                    # If disabled
      @command_window.draw_item(1, false)   # Make command semi-transparent
    end
    @command_window.openness = 0
    @command_window.open
  end

What you need to edit there is really obvious.

Here is a script example of what you can do.

All I did was adding two variables at the top named X and Y and then changed the lines 158 and 159 so that it would use those variables.

That is one way to do it and if your Scene_Title is to big and you maybe don't want to search the entire script for the right place, you just change the variables.

Thank you for your replies. I had in fact looked at that certain part of the scene_title script and edited it accordingly however no changes were made. The Command Window remained smack-bang center of the title screen.

stripe, I tried as you suggested however the location remained at the same place.

This isn't necessary in the slightest but it's the small details that aggravate me and that window needs to move!

EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out! I did the correct thing from the very beginning however YanFly's IconView script overwrote the scene_title.

Thanks for your help as you both confirmed I was doing the correct thing!
