I've been a composer for a good five-six years, though I only started composing for video games perhaps a year ago. Even so, my style is quite different from most MIDI composers on here- I use non-MIDI, diverse instruments, live piano and clarinet in some places, and complex harmonies. So, I'll be posting the results of my work here
So...uh... yeah. On to the musics.
Right now I have these on Youtube, as I don't have enough upload space to upload everything here. Since many of the files are quite large, I'd rather put them somewhere where you can listen to them without having to download them (Youtube), which is why there not on Mediafire.
Collection 1: Forest Walk
Track 1: One for Sorrow- A conceptual piece to be played in the opening cinematic, where Teign reflects on his past. (Made for LINUS)
Track 2: The Darkness in June- The second piece I did. This is going to be used for a scene in Chapter 1 where Linus falls into a watery cave and attempts to get out with a girl with a broken leg in tow. (Made for LINUS)
Track 3: Reminiscence- A piano solo for another melancholy scene in which Teign reflects on his bloody past. (Made for LINUS)
Collection 2: Chaosbound (Yeah, I can do this music, I just dislike it)
Track 1: Final Battle- Not much more to say, really.
Track 2: Plan of Battle- A short, but powerful and loud piece.
Track 3: Glory and Horror- A piece meant to signify marching to war.
Collection 3: Wistful Window
Track 1: Twilight- This piece is no longer going to be used in Linus, though it was composed for it. (Made for LINUS)
Track 2: Yesterday's Song- Quite a long piano trio (piano, cello, violin) used in a cutscene. (Made for LINUS)
Collection 4: Above the Clouds
Track 1: Sorrowful Music Box- A celeste (x2) and cello trio, inspired by the strange peace and stillness after the blizzard.
Track 2: The Fields in April- A piano, cello, and clarinet trio with some added ambience. Made as a calm village theme. (Made for LINUS)
Track 3: My Blood- This is the first piece I composed for LINUS. It's Linus's Theme; actually, it was originally meant to be title screen music, but we decided that it would fit better as his theme. (Made for LINUS)
Collection 5: Drifting
Track 1: Solace (Elliot's Theme)- Though this piece was not originally composed for LINUS, we're going to use it as a theme for one of Linus's friends. (Made for LINUS)
Track 2: Scarborough Fair- This is my take on the classic English folk song, Scarborough Fair. It uses a cello, piano, and violin.
Track 3: Winter Rose- A piano and cello piece meant to signify hope in a dark time. (Made for LINUS)
You can listen to most of these tracks, along with many others, at my Newgrounds page here: Joerao's Music
I'm not very active over here; (as you can see from my post count) more so over at VX.net. So if you'd like to make a request, please post at my topic over there.
Anyways, happy listening and please comment!
