Linus' Adventure

Intro A simple little game to start out with.
I realize that the story is fairly weak but it's just to get me started with properly making games and such.

[Show/Hide] "Story"
Linus is a simple dog, owned by a little girl named Lisa. One stormy night, Linus goes to fetch his favorite possession, his bone, to find that it's missing. Distraught, Linus runs off into the night to find his favorite bone.

[Show/Hide] Characters

Linus: The doggy protagonist of the story. Linus wants his favorite possession back before returning to his owner. He talks all through the game but only other animals can understand him.

Bo Bo: The mischievous cat. Bo Bo is sarcastic and opinionated but can also jump fairly high. He's the first animal Linus meets.

Artimus: The friendly rooster. Artimus was captured and when Linus frees him, decides to help him find his lost bone. Artimus can fit into small spaces.

[Show/Hide] "Screen-shots"
Some simple screen-shots. They don't give to much away, unfortunately.

I'll try this out tomorrow and let you know what I think = )

Out of curiosity, I downloaded it. I'll test it by tomorrow and give you my impressions. So far, I'd say you seem to be a decent mapper - most first games have horribly blank maps.

I played this game and finished it just now. I loved the mapping and other features in this game. It was a little laggy, but it would be caused by all the light events. It was fun and cute.

Good luck on your next game if you do another! smile.gif
Also, I didn't see any glitches or anything in it. Greatly done.
Paradelous
Hah, this looks interesting. I'll give it a try now and edit my post once I'm done.
It's about time I saw something like this. Hopefully it all goes well.
Kread-EX
Okay, I finished it. So, what can I say ?

Your mapping is really decent. It's quite rare for first games, so keep it up.
Didn't notice any bug, so you obviously put effort in the testing.
Sure, the story isn't really serious but it's so much better than "The chosen one who will save the world from evil" (I actually have seen a lot of newbies games like that >_>)

Anyway, it was fun. First games are usually extremely crappy, but I wouldn't use this term there. Keep up the training and you'll be all set to make a serious game.

Nice mapping. Do you mean your ACTUAL first game, or your first game with the maker?

Better late than never. A review has been posted for your game.

See the topic here!

Also, while you may have moved on to a bigger project, I would still encourage you to post this game on the main site, as that's generally where new people to the community look.
