I've notice a lot of people make posts requesting artwork and posting artwork. Is it acceptable to use these pieces of work in our projects? What level of recognition needs to be given to the artist?

I looked around a bit and did not see any posts that tackled this and wanted to ensure that I followed what was socially acceptable in the RPG Maker world.

Thanks ahead of time,

As long as you talk to the artist and they're ok with you using their work for whatever you are asking to use it for, then that should be fine. Just be sure to credit them. ^ ^

P.S. That's a general rule on most RPGMaker oriented websites; in fact, that's a general rule for practicaly everything in life. Just ask ^^

So do people generally roll credits at the end or beginning of their games? (two part question, if you do roll credits in your game. Do you do it in the beginning or end?)

Thanks,

Hmmm...yes. People do role credits within their games, normally. Mine are going at the end but it depends on what I'm using. If i were using some kind of custom created battle system or something from someone that made it for me, I'd probably put and special thanks like that in the beginning and end. Hope this clears up any questions of your; if, however, you do have more, feel free to P.M. any time. ^^
