Adrien.
How do I darken the screen?
LIke there is a light script it works perfect but I think it would look better if I darkened the screen.

heres how you can do this smile.gif

1.) Create a new Event on the Map
2.) Add a new Event Command > page 2 .> Screen Effects > Screen Tint
3.)Play around with the values to fit your needs.

Exactly, and to make this to start automatically at the beginning of your game and make it look good;
Make sure the character has no sprite in the database, it should be blank, so the character will turn up invisible.
Make the first map a completly black map.
In the map, make that event in the quote above, and add a fadeout effect, then a teleport to your second map, change the characters sprite in the event, and then a fade in effect.

Otherwise, if you want it too start automatically in an easier way that doesn't look so good;
Just make the quoted event above by LegACy, and make it into a parallel proccess.

The original poster didn't state he was trying to create an intro type event. No need to rag on someone's help.
