I really hope I'm not repeating an already existing thread, but I currently have Graphics Gale and Paint.NET, and I was wondering if there might be any other graphic editors that anyone else might think are good. The ones I use are good and I'm quite used to them, but I just don't feel like I can do very much with them... And, I used these editors mostly for Game Maker 6.1 projects, but I've had trouble when it came to designing custom tilesets, and other graphical recources for RMVX.

Well to be honest i think that Graphics Gale is one of the Best, i've used it in any sprite work as it's pretty decent. but if you'r looking for a better version of Graphics gale, i recommend Pro Motion 6.
http://www.cosmigo.com/promotion/index.phpAlthough it isn't free it has a evaltuation which you can use to see if you think it's good enough to fork out a bit of cash towards. other than that, its Gimp.
I still think GraphicsGale is the best one

Yeah I always recommend using Graphics Gale, I don't know what you mean by you can't do very much with it as GG contains all the features you'd need to sprite. Perhaps if you elaborate on that then there'd be a better chance for us to point you in the right direction.
I'd only go for free alternative photoshops if it is something you'd like to do outside of pixel work, like adding effects, text manipulation and so forth.

Sorry for answering late. I don't like Inkscape or Gimp, and maybe Holder is right. Graphics Gale can probably do what I want, but I probably don't know how to do it just yet. So I'll stay with GG and try to figure it out by tutorials and learn some tricks with it by fooling aournd with some of the features.
