Full Version: What do you think of my tile screen?

Here is a simple title screen I made for my game in rmvx called Tales Of Altis. It is pretty simple and I did the text in gimp, just trying to get in to designing things

Title is hard to see, sprite doesn't mix in well. The background is iffy at best. I like the winds and the font though.

Don't pay any attention to Kabuto.

There are a few points tho. The color of the font needs to be brightened. The space bg needs to be altered to reflect something a little more anime if you want the sprite in there (reverse if you want to keep the BG)

Do listen to kabuto202, his feedback is all true.

The title itself, while pretty, is blurry. This makes it slightly hard to see, as kabuto202 said. The typeface is pretty. Just let it represent itself without the blurs and lighting flares. Also, if the character is important and off centered, the title can probably look better if off-centered.

The image on the left seems to be stretched, and stretching is never good. When adjusting sizes, make sure you adjust to scale.
I'm going to assume that character is an important aspect of the game. If so, place it either in the center, or a little closer to the center.
It's awkwardly pushing up against the edge too much. (Try putting it exactly 1/3 of the length of the screen.)

The background itself seems unrelated. If you want to make the character appear to be in space, I suggest either a space background with a purple tone or a red tone, and change the color of the text appropriately.

Hope that helps!
