These are all for a game I am currently working on with a friend, he is the main spriter, and these were all made from scratch, based loosely on Fire Emblem's sprites/style.

They use a minkoff-like style, and the order of animations are as follows:

1. Stand
2. Get Damaged
3. Low Health
4. Guard
5. Move Forward
6. Move Backward
7. Attack 1
8. Attack 2
9. Item/Spell
10. Victory
11. Death

There are plans to make another row, and making separate animations for Item and Spell.


Please make any comments/questions/concerns you may have!

These are for the demo, and probably all will receive come kind of update by the time the full game comes out!

I like the look of the knight, no problems there.....
The farmer needs more detail around he eyes, darker eyebrows, black pupils and a white dot


I'll post more when I buy a keboard
goood work so far, I have some ideas for your spriter too

Any advice will be well taken!

(I sent him your response, and he liked it, xD )

They are for the demo, and we are brainstorming how to make them better, and any advice ideas you guys had would be great!

Edit: Right now we are adding a slight motion to the standing pose, a slight sway if you will.

One thing that we liked, and plan to follow through with, is the use of weapons on the sprite. We don't use the game's weapons or animations to display the weapons, and attacks, at least for the normal ones. We tied the weapon, and all "swooshing" effects TO the sprite, so that it looks a little more like fire emblem, the graphics we are roughly based off of.

Plans are in the works for:
-Casting Animation
-Charging Animation(wait before skills)
-Start of Battle Animation

and enemies are on their way...
