Full Version: Midi looping

Ok. If I remember correctly (and if Google is, of course, correct) in order to get a piece of a midi to loop from after the intro tune using Anvil Studio you have to insert a Midi Controller Event, b06f, right at the part where it starts to loop at the beginning of the song, on Channel 1 with a Control Value of 111. for good measure, or if it doesn't work, delete all notes after it reaches the spot where it's supposed to loop. a while back I did this successfully with two songs, but now I cant seem to get it right for the life of me. am I doing something wrong? missing a step? or do I have the entire process wrong?

right now what it's doing is it'll get to the part where it's supposed to loop, go dead silent for a good five, ten seconds, then start playing from an entirely different spot

any help would be greatly appreciated ^-^

..also, I hope I have this topic in the correct place. I think I do but i'm not sure.. If I dont, sorry.

Edit: I found out what I was doing wrong, I think

I was editing the length of the midi AFTER placing the Midi Control Event (because usually I find out something's off with the timing) and that threw off where the midi was looping

Sorry for responding now, after 1 whole year, but i just now saw your post, while i was navigating the forums. You may have been already solved your issue, but let me post here the solution, in case other people later have the same issue and might find it uselful

I think the script FmodEx Audio (or Fmod Ex Audio) for RPG Maker XP is the solution to your issue? This script allows you to make specific appoints of where the music could start playing / contunue playing from.
