As for your problem; have you tried making ammo for your weapons and then DRAGGING the ammo from your items window to the two boxes in the lower right corner to equip it?
I know some other people were wondering how to get that to work and assumed the ammo automatically equipped itself.

i sdid that but it dont work range wise it only works close encounter which mutes the point of range

Okay I just went through it and i can see why your having problems.
At first I was only able to reach one space in range.
Then I started doing damage to myself?
But I've got it working now and heres what I did:

For your ammo you need to have the following in the notes:

Ammo
Character = !$Arrow

Character of course is the graphic of the projectile, this use to be specified in the weapons tab.
Also for the ammo make sure the scope is set to "ONE ENEMY" this was why my attacks were hurting me instead of the enemy tongue.gif

As for your weapon it should look like this;

Ranged
Ammos = 25
Automatic

Automatic probably isn't needed but if your making guns why not, right?
And of course change 25 to your ammo id
If your notes section looks like this it should work, unless your using custom scripts or something.

im trying to use the long bow and the arrow actuly to see how good the range system is but it woont work:/

This is the last thing I can think of, try putting;

Range = 7

in the long bow notes.

by default the range is suppose to be 5 but maybe something is causing that to change?

not working but to clarifie its open inventory press a on the Wooden Ammos and then press a to attack with bow or hold it down?, pressing a in inventory does nothing, maybie i need to install somthing but wat:/

meh i got it to work with out them keys i guess, drag the rrows to the the sole box ok, but can skills be ranged to? if so how cuz i made a skill and have to go to the enimies face to use it;/

I know about TELAM LUDUS.
It's online network system of Verus Tempus Proelium.
Verus Tempus Proelium is new version but wampyr SBABS 9 (2009/9) contains more good features.
And there's no Reflect system in Verus Tempus Proelium.

I have downloaded Verus Tempus Proelium and TELAM LUDUS.
It's possible to login into your network and meet other people with wampyr Battle system.

As I told you, Battle systems are same.
I want you to upgrade it once again.

I don't know what you are doing this time,
Are you fixing TELAM LUDUS?
Or Have you already accepted my idea??

But I think Deflection system have to be created.
The principle is simple.
First, player equips deflectable weapon,
Second, When an enemy is firing, and when an skill or ammo approachs nearby ( 1 tiles ahead.)
Player can attack to an ammo or skill so that it turn back to the owner and hurt it.

Like that picture.

Keep in mind it, I will never give up util you accept it.

Vlad i have a problem :S when ever i enter another zone with my char in my game ... it gives dont send error.. can u fix that?

Event Enemy doesn't work! How can I make Bosses now!?
Also, how do I make a switch turned on for all users?
Example:
I give an item
then set the switch "Obtain" On
But when I use another account, this switch is off.

And the quest list gets all scrambled up!
Also, when I sync the server with the client... The server program closes!

You can't event Enemies. Syncing should be fine, unless you messed it up somehow. Not sure how, but meh.

You can't make Bosses.

Just put Global in the name.

I mean turning on a switch to all players.
Example:
I turn on a switch with "hikari"
Then it says that the switch is now on.
The I go to the switcher with "ad_hikari"
Then its says that the switch is still off.

So when I'm "Hikari" the switch is ON
When I'm "ad_Hikari" the switch is OFF

but I need both ON

well this new version is freak cool everything has gone good so far and i really any gobal monster so i don't see different monster then other player. also when is pvp coming .!!! but it's all good i can wait like 3 months

also i add a parallax background for my character selection but it dose not show i just see a black background any way to fix ?

When I use parallax maps, its not fixed.

version 1.6 is good... EXCEPT it doesn't run on all versions of Windows XP. That still needs to be fixed.

as for suggestions, I think a system where it brings back the "Allies" function of VTP. And a window for the Party button. Buttons that don't do anything are annoying.

lol there no need for vampyr to bother with trying to make it work with windows xp since it's an out date os the will soon stop getting updates

Ally functions? For what? There's not even pets or anything...And it would be especially hard to make AI party members that you can control along with making it in Global ABS. Party isn't completed yet, and that's why the buttons don't work.

The fog script, delete it.

Vlad put where it used a preset one with the script or something. Never really messed with this a whole lot, but hopefully that helps.

And yeah this system needs a lot of work before it's ready for anyone to use. I think most of the people here are just trying to help point out flaws in the system though.

And anyways, there's a few videos on Youtube, I think, to set it up. There's also instructions and whatnot, and there's a How-To file on page 23 or around it. However, if you can't get it, it's probably best not to use it.

It depends if you use a VPN, VPS or a home server.

I use a VPN which is pretty much I use.

this may be a simple thing to fix. but i can no longer see item that i equip like say i put on a hat the graphics that i have set to it dose not show over the main play sprite. so it could be that vampyr change how to set up the graphics. so if anyone can tell how it works with 1.6 rc

yes this was all working when i was using version 1.11 rc but once i move up to 1.6 rc that images stop working

Well, you're still messing up somewhere. Try Character =.
And it's not version 1.11 RC, it's just 1.11. 1.5RC2 and 1.6RC2 are the only ones that have the RC part afterwards.

EDIT: Got yet an other problem. with the server. When i leave the server run for like 2 days none stop the third day i can't login or register i press the connect button yet it dose not connect and it says the server is online then when i go check wats wrong on the server it just shutdowns

any help would be need

Hi! I've been looking around for an answer, but I can't seem to find the right place!

I wanted to say the script is just fantastic, it's worked much better then I would have ever imagined and I was honestly pleasantly surprised how well it worked with VX. But! I have two questions:

1) I understand that enemies will only show up if they are assigned as a troop and then placed in a map or 'area' inside a map through the Map Properties, and not from a battle processing event. I was wondering if there was a way enemies could be turned on/off using a switch (Or common event), so enemies could be made to appear only after x switch is turned on/off and not just constantly there.

2) The quest system is sorta confusing.. I haven't had a chance to read every post in this thread, but when I try to modify the quests in the server client, the whole thing crashes when I attempt to (I assume) select the NPC, and if I have the client running it crashes as well. Is there a way around this?

Edit: I'm running 1.6 R2, if that helps.

1) Nope, unless he brings evented monsters back, which is unlikely. Or some sort of script that turns areas on and off by switches.

How to set up stores in Telam Ludus 1.6.1 R2?

So when a character dies while fighting and his HP reaches 0 he just respawns in the exact same spot and doesnt loose anything at all, so death in this script is like meaningless, which it shouldnt be, can someone tell me how to fix this? At least make your guy respawn somewhere else or drop his inventory on death etc.

You lose Gold/EXP. Use a Safe Area method (in the instructions) on spawn elsewhere >.>

Where can you specify how much gold/exp you lose?

Also the Safe Area I kinda figured what that was, I created an Area named Safe Area, but I still spawn in the same spot I died, but I never saw anything about a Safe Area in the instructions, can you give me a link to them? The Read Me included with the client doesn't specify that.

You can specify the gold/exp loss in the Versus Tempus Proelium script, under def game_over.
The two lines are:
CODE
    @actor.lose_exp(@actor.exp*5/100)
    $game_party.lose_gold($game_party.gold*5/100)

Simply edit teh formula to your liking.

Assuming you have the correct version, it SHOULD be in the Readme. I'll post it here nonetheless.

For the map thing, do I add the !X to the name of the map like if the map name is City it would be City !X? Could you give me an example...

Also I noticed that you can press F1 in the client and it will cause the mouse cursor to disappear and show FPS at the top of the client and cause it to eventually glitch out, is there a way to go about preventing certain keypresses, or making it so that pressing F1 does nothing at all?

Safe Area ID is 5, so City !5

I believe there is, but at this point, not sure. It's part of the Game.exe itself, so I dunno.

I tried that, however it just spawned my character in one of the spawn areas for NPCs....Should I go about a different way to have NPCs spawn on a map than via Areas?

Also is there somewhere to get all the sprites for other monsters in the game such as Spiders, Demons, etc. since there is only Slimes, Bats, and Hornets?

You mean Monsters for NPCs? You're probably putting the wrong ID...Not the NAME of the Safe Area, but the ACTUAL ID when you check it's properties.

No, nowhere else. Just those on the resources of this forum and others, you should instead make your own sprites.

Okay thanks smile.gif that fixed it smile.gif

Well I was just wondering, since the monsters are already setup and it'd be nice to find sprites like the bat, slime, and hornet, but like the demon, succubus, spider, etc.


Also I noticed a bug - Your visual EXP bar disappears after dying after a couple times...Though it says it correctly under your character © menu.
