Err, I'm having a bit of trouble. It says that I require MySql 5.1.43 x64 and x86 to use the database. However, it seems that the world has moved on to 5.1.44, the links in the "Read Me" Rich Text Doc leading me to a useless page. Will it still work with this new version, and if not, am I able to grab it off someone?

I might sound a complete idiot when I ask this, but for some reason, whenever I try to connect the database, it keeps saying it can't connect. I only got this with the new version however. With the older versions I am more used to (which I no longer have ) it worked fine.

Right I know this is a double post, but I think this needs sorting quite urgently. I got the server and everything running, however upon loading the game, some obscene language appears.

well so far i have got my game to work find without needing hamachi but am using vampyer net gaming version 1.11rc once Version 1.6 rc comes i move to that. so it's not really hard to get a static ip. any yea there are many screenshots of the scripts at work. if anyone needs help with there gaming connecting to the server on some one esle computer just pm me i help out

I was just wondering if it was possible using a system like this to have only a partial part of your game online.

Kind of like guild wars.

I want to be able to have the whole game offline and play like a normal rpg but have the main cities online for chat and trading of gold, items, sything recipes and equiptment.

Just wondering if that could be done with something like this.

It's hard for many different routers to get a Static IP. (Verizon = One example. No help at all with PFing. >.>)

yea it is hard to get a static ip but i have cox which i found it easy to gain a static ip

Depends on when we fix this little Verizon port issue. Maybe late today or tomorrow. (The verizon tech support is crappy to me. They can help me "in no way possible" with PFing. ) We have to get the MySQL db ready as well. Which is being done tonight.

Not exactly. Depends on what version you have. If you have 1.5, you won't lose anything.
However, if you have a SQLCE version, you'll lose all your database.

If you're talking about game data, just replace the scripts.rvdata.
