Turn the .sql file into a .txt file, and copy everything in it, then, go into your phpMyAdmin (not myphpadmin lol)
If you have the same phpMyAdmin as me (or similar), there should be a little window that says "sql" on the left hand side bar.
NOT the little chat icon. When the window opens up, just paste everything you got from the .sql file.

Mind telling me how to install phpMyAdmin?

I've looked for tutorials on the net and they aren't clear at all.

Lol, looking up tutorials.
Just get the phpMyAdmin download, extract it (dunno if it's an .rar or .zip), follow the instructions it gives you (Not sure where this is either), then just FTP the folder to the website, and you're done.
Go to the directory through
http://blahblah.com/phpmyadmin <<< Wherever you got your PHPMyAdmin folder.

Hey guys, I'm curious. Can other scripts work with this, or will there be issues? One major script I had in mind was one that allows you to change tilesets, only it's a major hassle to set it up for me, so I'm just curious if its unknown if there will be issues or if it's a sure thing. None the less, great script and thanks in advance for any responses!

The BulletTXT's Tileset swapper?
It is NOT compatible.
Nor should it be.
You may see one tileset, while someone else sees another.
It'd be ridiculous.

Y'know, a video tutorial on how to setup a MySQL database, where to get the details to enter in the server program and how to get a MySQL.TXT file, because for some reason, I enter all the right details and do what you say on the .PDF guide, but I still get an error.

I propose that you learn the basics of RMVX before using VNG, because this script is NOT noob friendly.

Any Date around when Next Version comes out?
Well at least it is great what you´ve done here!
Easy to set up ( all is working under 1 min just awesome ) ,using MySQL which makes it easy for developing nice web applications with PHP =P
1 Bug which got maybe reported already but works after commenting it out :
Line 139 Window Chat - Undefined thingy (Message Duration 0.o")
Beside that i wanted to ask would it be possible plugging the Tenkentai ATB in it to have a MMO in the battle style of Atlantica Online? I think i would have beside the Script issues the Problem showing the Players and Mobs on Server (anyway asking is free xP)
Also There is a Missing Graphic : Cape_Front
Sgt+X+4582
Apr 18 2010, 05:58 AM
Just delete that entire line in the script it fixed it for me.
I really don't see the point in that line either.
Xzygon
Apr 18 2010, 07:45 AM
Change a graphic to have that name, Message Duration is for VNG 1.6, no, plugging in a new battle system would be nearly impossible, and it's not nice to ask about the next version. Vlad doesn't want anyone asking lol.

And i cant attack with Thief.. also a bow

The skills and items are saved, you've either set it up wrong, or you're having rollbacks.

I prefer TXT servers as they are easy to manage IMO.
If there is a way to make it TXT please tell me about it.

Has anyone found a way to actually make a server connectable through the internet without Hamachi?
I have a server tower its a bit old but its still a Quad Core with 6Gb of Ram and Ubuntu Linux installed.
It is worthy of being online its just i cant seem to find how to make it acessable from the internet also my IP changes every so often but No-IP solves this its just the problem with actually getting the server on the internet.
If anyone has found a way please tell me as it would be a major help to KOS Online.
I have money so if I have to pay for a server program or anything then i will as long as its of reasonable cost of coarse.

Apache for the registration/login etc., sure.
I'm just going to give you the list of what's needed to bring it online.
-Static/Dynamic DNS IP.
-Port Forwarded Server Port.
-Open Server Port.
-Server allowed through Firewall.
-portchecker.com says your port is open.
-MySQL database hosted remotely or use No-IP. (Haven't gotten this part to work.)
-Not sure what else.

Nah. Not all VX MORPG's are restricted to Hamachi. ESO got it working without Hamachi.
Don't bother asking the original creator though. He's out of the business, handed ESO down to his *other* co-dev. (I was one of them, he had 2.)
He doesn't appear much anymore.

Of course not. Localhost means exactly that. A "local host". Localhost is used only for inside your computer, and possibly other computers in your router. (Not entirely sure, haven't checked. )

Actually making some progress on this I have the MySQL hosted on the internet and it can be acessed from there.
But when the server connects to it it say online for 1 second then just crashes with no error message.
But besides that i got my Database internet connectable.
Got my PC set up as a small server now and it can actually be accessed from the internet but alls you get now is some test page.
Think this might actually work.
