TaFresh, i dont mean to be like...a ***** but the fact of your deciding someone's reaction in the roleplay is kind of rediculous, it should b up to the person who is posting on how the character reacts....not you,regardless if it is predictable or correct, its not your call.

She's sorta right, TaFresh. Where it said "This kept her occupied for awhile" it's really up to me whether or not it kept her occupied. A'Sia is very war-hardened, I don't think a simple spell like "Fire" would get on her nerves. But It's cool. Just be careful what you type. Don't worry, I've done this plenty of times in the past too, but I learned from them.

on the other hand we'd have about 4 very short posts and they would of taken a lot longer if you had waited for reactions I would recommend that we all set up a skype group for this, that way we can check with people before we post, or PM them over RRR.

if there's no measurement of each others actions, no one will let their character get hurt, this nearly happened with me and spirit in the early posts, but in the end we came to the agreement to let each other get hurt (which read really well)

in conclusion, if you involve someone that you haven't had many posts with yet (or even if they're your best mate) double check certain posts with them first.

Malakai
A small industrial fortress, fit for 20-30 people. Constructed nearly four years ago by the hands of A'Sia and two hired construction workers, Lemm and Reija, who later became lieutenants of what would become Bandit Ops. It was built in the middle of a scrapeyard, 2-3 miles south of Morento. Originally built to shelter local homeless and rogue Morento soldiers.

It is surrounded by a tall barbedwire fence, with the only gate inside being guarded by two heavily armed Bandit Ops soldiers. However, since the disappearance of founder A'Sia and Lemm, the fortress has been on high alert for sudden possible attacks from Xavier, Morento's most powerful sorcerer.

Is it possible for me to suggest a new location too?

Also, what exactly are the more advanced magic spell casting words? I understand it's proably a few sentences, but I want to mak sure I follow one that has already been made, not create one and have a conflict.

We've been keeping magic words vague thus far; rather than the specific words, it's been like 'muttered an incantation' or stuff like that. I think it's better that way; spell incantations are cheesy as hell even when invented by the best fantasy writers.

Since theres been talk about computers and we still buy horses to travel? Wouldn't we have things like trucks if we have computers? I am kind of stunned in how to piece things together

You're right, but I assumed that since we have lifeboats that can both travel in air and on water, then there would be some form of high technology.

It's a world that independently made technology. But there isn't a corporate system in place, meaning business haven't been able to get cars on the market.

Only the government decides what goes and doesn't, so all public travel is run by the country. So almost all travel is public

Its more steampunked to be honest, the airships and lifeboats were a mix of magic and technology.
The lifeboats were only technology however, which explains why it needed to land.
Most other airships used Rune Steel Engines.
Although, those are only the mass produced ones, the Fire Fly may have been more unique, with a much more compex design, it did seem to last much longer in combat for a transport ship.

The airships themselves were only about 100 years old, and the originals were pretty unrefined and couldnt get much altitude, more like gliders too.

It's all imported from Morento
Morento isn't as wealthy compared to Welstarm since its always under threat from attack, so a lot of what they have goes into military.
But their best sciencetists decided to find the biggest bandit camps from the air and eliminate them.
And the airship was put into place.
Everyone else gets to travel by foot, horse or boat. Risking their lives against the possiblity they might get killed by Bandits or a Ruined One.

As for guns, I assumed they were Muskets.

If you want a bit of a plot for while I'm away, you can take this route if you want.

A Ruined One attacks the village at dawn.
A Ruined One is basically a huge muscular humanoid beast, very tough leathery skin and incredibly strong.
They go into berserker rages and wont stop attacking until its dead, falls asleep or kills what it wants to kill.
Their movement pattern is unpredictable, which is why airships cost a lot to travel with.
Although, there's only around 50 recorded beasts, so there isn't a huge deal of fear, but then again, only 7 have been killed by groups of over 50 soldiers.
So yeah, perhaps the group could work together to kill one and save the village or flee into the tunnel of tricks.

Anyway, hopefully, I won't be gone too long.

What I wrote for them is pretty much just rumours, so C.

The actual origin itself is clouded in mystery, partly becuase there was a war at the time they began appearing, it was assumed the undead army's leader Uxire the great created them from murdered humans as weapons of war, but lost control of them, the idea that the undead army would lose control of all of them made it hard to beleive too.

Others beleive it that they are the remains of a long sealed race of beings, literally sealed away into the earth by an angel called The Grim Saviour, a hero/heroine created for all races by a race of people called The Winged Ones several thousand years prior, The Grim Saviour is said to have stopped aging when chosen by the previous Grim Saviour (there can only be one at a time, when the power is passed on, the previous has 20 years of life left). However, The Grim Saviour himself is a mere legend, so most things related to him/her are also thrown into the camp fire story catogory.

You can decide on the Ruined One's own back story if you want, I encourage it if you all decide to go with rumours or C.

Background: Henri is the leader of one of Jimba's allied clans. Him and Jimba go way back, starting when his clan saved Jimba's from persecution. Henri inheirited the clan's sword (the Katana), the Lo'Ha fro his cousin, as he wasn't supposed to be head, but got it due tohis cousi's death. Henri had a run-in with Xavier before the story, and as such, his clan's recovering.
Personality: Not hot-headed per se, but is more lenient than Jimba. He drinks and smokes a lot. He loves women, even the odd looking ones, to death. Once someone messs with one, he hurts them severely. He's not as quick to kill as Jimba, due to slower reflexes and instincts, but will if provoked, as he follows the same mindset as Jimba.

I really like Oliver's development as a character. Jeeves isn't perfect but he isn't that important. You might want to develop his past life and times spent with Oliver.
Apart from that I don't see much wrong.

I like Oliver because he is in turmoil, knowing he came from strict royalty in the beginning. He's like...uhh...Luke or whatever from Tales of the Abyss. Oliver's story is definately starting to interest me.

I think Jimba is an interesting character to say the least, but some of your posts seem slightly rushed. Try keeping the pace a little slower and it's spot on Other than pace I'd say you have it down.

RPs don't need perfect writing skills, so no one's going to ask for that

@TaFresh: You had some issues early on, in both P4 and Alsta, but you've more or less hammered them out, and your characters are pretty interesting. I was wondering who the major source of conflict was going to be with Nobu leaving the main group .

Basically, some grammatical hiccups aside, everyone's doing A-OK in my book.

Since everyone else is asking, how am I doing? I'm still sort of new to this too, this is my third RP; after P4: Second Case (Which I came into pretty late and can't help but feel that my character is sort of a Scrappy), and The War (Which didn't last very long at all.)

@Milton: For a dude role-playing a female you're not doing bad at all. I instantly fell in love with Aggie when Nobu assumed she was some assassin, remember that? lol. But yeah. the only slip up I saw you do was when you tried to control A'Sia. Other than that, you're doing ok to me man.

Alright, give me the 411. What about me, eh? This is like my one hundredth rp on here...j/k I exaggerated that, but it feels like I've been in that many. Favorite ones were: Persona 3 RP: Another Path or something like that with Yoichi as my character.
