Luck, which was renamed to Threat in the newest release (today), determines how often characters get hit. Higher values mean you get hit more often. It's intended to make "tank" characters, who have high Threat and high Defense, and pretty much act as lightning rods for attacks.
And yeah, that expensive armor is the second best in the game.
@Fleta: Hmm... Well, I've removed the timer from the battle now, so that should not happen anymore.
Im gonna be soooooo leveled by the time I can afford it it for 4 cahracters! My party consists of 2 dual weilders (Alexis and Zanthus) I likee to only have one of them in at each time so they can equpt double shoulder pads 2 magic uses (Liara and Thyyra) Both good MP but I make it so the try not to get hit (fragile) and two weapon and sheild people (Lann and Ark) I have Lann using weapons with death strike not powerful but good if your lucky! And Ark using royal blade and tintanium hand (GREAT combo) I really dont no why I just listed my party... lol. So anyway I am gonna buy it for Alexis, Zanthus, Ark, and Lann just cause I have them all wearing heavy armor cause they are fighters!

You should not put your magic casters in the heavy armor. You'd benefit so much more from wearing the spellcaster armor and then putting AP into Defense to make up for it.

What version are you using? There was a small glitch in one of the releases that you couldn't get out of the town. Try saving the game then playing it in another version to get out. If you don't have another version, you can .zip the save file somewhere and PM me the link and I'll get you out of the town.

I'm using Build 5
I used the old chapters 1-3 and was able to get out of town. I hope this doesn't leave something behind that would stop the upper summons.....

@Fleta: One of the earlier Build 5 games (Build 5.0) had something blocking the exit of Klaim. In the current version (5.4) it's fixed. The method you used should leave the summons unharmed, but if they still don't work it's because you used the old version.

Announcing the Tower of Trials expansion pack!
Hey there, Legionwood fans! Today, I'm happy to official announce the upcoming expansion pack, Legionwood: Tower of Trials, which is almost completely finished and will be released on December 15th, 2010.
Tower of Trials is an optional expansion pack for Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords. It will not be distributed with the main game, and will instead be offered as a seperate download. It will not be possible to play Tower of Trials without having a copy of the main game handy; installing the expansion will simply add to your existing Legionwood game.
Tower of Trials adds extra post game content to Legionwood, in the form of an additional chapter that can be played after the ending scene of the main game. The storyline of the expansion pack takes place six months following Castoth's defeat and sees Lann and the group join together once more to investigate the mysterious titular Tower of Trials, a strange dimensional rift that has inexplicably appeared in the land of Rhasphodus. You can expect hours of gameplay as you explore new dungeons, learn new Techs, find new equipment, recruit a brand new summon and build your characters stronger than ever before!
The quest in Tower of Trials takes you beyond the world of Legionwood, into realms where only the fiercest monsters await you, including the land of Taltarus from Legionwood 2 and the deadly mansion from One Night 2: The Beyond. These are in addition to several more original locations, making for one huge dungeon crawl, a concept new to Legionwood.
Tower of Trials seeks to resolve the loose ends of Legionwood's plotline and expands upon characters that recieved little development. Fans of Zanthus in particular will be happy with what the new storyline offers.
So that's what awaits you in Legionwood: Tower of Trials, coming to infect your Legionwood game this December!

Question: Is it new that resting at an inn doesn't cure comatose? I could have sworn that in the earlier versions people woke up and got healed when you took them to an inn. Now it doesn't. Surprised the h*** out of me since I had saved over my earlier ones and now was stuck without any way of buying Angels tears and my main magic user was knocked out....

Hey Gaia, long time no see! I've gotten back into RMing recently and I decided to download the full version for this, it's great as ever. You take it to the lady inside of a house in the southern part of the town. I think it's directly east of the well?
Dark Gaia
Nov 24 2010, 05:39 AM
Yes, it's the only non shop building that you can enter in the town. Welcome back by the way! I'm sure you'll find the ending suitably epic.
@oldmangreg: You get one Pin for completing the Upperthorne Sewer quest, one for completing the Pirate's Cove quest in Rhapshodus, one is found in Marilith's Tomb in Mount Pyre, one is given to you for completing the Ascara Mine and would you believe I forgot where the fifth one is? You'll need to also go and get the Pin of Zenith from the Shrine of Hate in the Aldagard islands as well, which will only open once you have found the Sword Of Lore.

Yep, it's fixed now! And, now it's time for an update...
Friday, November 26th, 2010
Today, I'm officially announcing the closure of Legionwood's development. After almost four long years and two different game engines, I'm finally proud to say I'm happy with the state of the game and with what I've managed to accomplish. Thus, I've now uploaded what should be the final ever release of Legionwood (Build 5.5) which includes some final tweaks, small additions and some resolution with regards to Zanthus (making me feel much better about the game's "completed" designation). Unfortunately, I must inform you all that a hard drive error has resulted in the loss of the planned Legionwood expansion pack. As such, I've no choice but to announce its cancellation. It's now time to move on to bigger and better things, such as Legionwood 2 and an as of yet unnamed literary project I'm working on.
Thank you for all your support, feedback, beta testing, criticism and inspiration that you have given me throughout Legionwood's development. If it were not for you, the game would be very different and probably worse off than it is in its current iteration. Keep an eye out for the next big Legionwood adventure!

I see. No, I can't use it, I notice it, and it didn't appear to do anything. I've noticed the Demonic Purge, but didn't put it together with 3 demonic charges. Can you use Osmone (I think that's the one to get rid of an opponent's MPs) to stop them from doing that?
Dark Gaia
Dec 1 2010, 06:18 PM
Nope, it doesn't use up any of their SP to use it. The idea was to try and emulate a Tonberry from Final Fantasy. I know that I didn't make it obvious enough that the Charges lead to the Purge though.
In Legionwood 2, when a Grudge Holder uses Demonic Charge, a message is displayed telling you how many charges it has left to go until it can use Demonic Purge.

8/10 overall! ^^ Epic all the way save for the ending, standard SBS battle coreography(could've been better), and world map BGM(boring overworld theme..). ~,~ lol Damn! You got me there! Crying during the scene of the moment of truth after beating the Tome Guardian... T_T so touching,,,that's one thing of many things of the game that got me XD
However, I kinda reject Liara to be the one who sacrificed. After all, I expected it so cus Terminus story bout his sister kinda giving me a hunch bout something's gonna happen to Liara. I prefer Lann or/and Ark to be the one(s) to the day. After all, they are(were) Creators. Yup finished the game save for the lorequest regarding the pyramid. I already got 4 Pins or Creation and Pin of Zenith. Charn, Makir, Hawkshire, Rhasphodus,.can u reveal the last location of the Pin of Creation pls? >.< Beaten the H*** B****r in a lorequest optional boss fight, so am I gonna fight the Rift Dragon too if I manage to obtain the last Pin of Creation and open the pyramid gates? o.0
EDIT: I'm terribly sorry for spoiling the story, my Spoiler button's failing me atm

Back on page 36 there's a list of the pins but from the list you gave it sounds like you're missing the one from the Ascara Mines sidequest in Klaim. The NPC with the sidequest is in a house on the left if I remember right.
Dark Gaia
Dec 4 2010, 03:29 AM
Or... If Klaim has been destroyed, then he'll be standing outside of the mine.
@Fleta: Yes, though I want the game to have its own distinct feel as it is a remake of Tales Of Worlds which back in the day had quite a few fans. I did warn you that it's only a thematic sequel. Though if you try the new demo I released yesterday, you might find it more to your tastes.
@Fetz: I'd always intended for Liara to "die" - the event pretty much establishes the frame work for the entire lore of One Night 1, Legionwood 2 and my novel series.

__ Btw, I thought Legionwood 2's gonna be lore-sequel of Tales of Two Swords.. :/ What happened to the 300 ppl who're sent to different planet by sleep ship(i forgot the name but it does contain "sleep" lol) to escape Castoth's wrath. Have they built up their own civilisations? Are you going to make an RPG based on them? If yes, that'd be interesting to behold~ ^^

Legionwood 2 is the "lore sequel" to the first game. It expands on the lore quite a bit, and explores what happened to Castoth once he was expelled from Legionwood and suspended in the dimensional rift, or at least, one of the possibilities of what happened. It takes place in a different (technically) universe, which has become tainted due to the events the occured in the world of Legionwood.

Read at your own risk; spoils Legionwood 2.
The sleeper ship is...
Taltarus itself - a virtual world which stores the traveller's consciousnesses while the ship drifts through space.

Guess what DG! I beat Undine, got the sword, finally got Terminus to kill me off, went to Ark, and in when I was battling the followers I had him summon Undine..... The game bombed. As far as I know the only thing I did with an older version is to get out of the city to go get the Mythril shard. Any clues?

That's probably what did it. See, the older version would have updated the ingame data files to your save file and well... There you go.

Is there ANY way of manually fixing it even to the point of using a debug like tool to edit the save file? Also, I don't have Incubus. I thought the first time around I got her before Undine.
Also, I'm at the mountain with the dragon. As long as I'm using build 5, is it possible that when I get the dragon (Maralilith or whatever her name is) that she will work?
Never mind. I answered my own question with Undine.

I have no idea if this has been addressed yet or not, but when using the heal option in the crystals, it says MP is restored as opposed to SP. I don't know if I'm missing something or what, though I doubt I am. I've played the game for over an hour and have yet to see MP anywhere else.

DG,
I don't remember seeing this, but there's a nasty little bug I came across. If you hurry (press the shift key), there are some times when you get stuck in one direction. I'm going through places I've already been, so I'll try to get quicker and all of a sudden the party keeps going to the left until it hits a wall. And even then it keeps trying, so you can't go in any other direction! It even lasts into a battle (when you go to choose strike, tech, etc it will just cycle through choices if you were going down at the time). I know if I bang around sometimes it will cure itself, but most of the time I just have to quit the game and start over. Anyone else have this?

Well, I know it's not my hardware if that's what you're saying, but it's like the system that recognizes input doesn't reset the buffer for some reason.
Also as a side note, I got lost trying to find the archaelogical dig site and ended up back at Lann and Liara's home town. When I went to leave, Lann said it's too dangerous to leave the town. I had to go look for apples and have the shopkeeper tell me about the festival in the capital city. Even though I had 6 level 30+ characters. Also, don't they know about the war?
Dark Gaia
Jan 10 2011, 03:01 AM
Fleta, that first bug you reported sounds like some sort of event lag - it's possible that RPG Maker gets stuck and is not processing key presses. The second bug sounds like a switch problem, which is strange, as Upperthorne is updated several times over the game. I'll check it out.
In other news, Legionwood seems to be spreading through the internet without my input now - a google search I did earlier today showed me that downloads of the game are now hosted on File Planet, Mod DB and several open source software sites.

Can I still get those other pins to do this side quest? If so, can you give a list of where each of them are for build 5.0?
