For the most part, this is complete. I may only go back to work on this to correct any bugs/glitches once reported. Those will be the only changes.

INTRODUCTION
Here's a project that I've been keeping a secret for a long time.

I was messing around with an RM2k chara maker, creating "unique" characters for my first, and probably only rm2k3 project. It was originally a stupid, comedy-type RPG with all sorts of inappropriate humor, yet that pretty much didn't happen. However, I felt like I had to use on of my generator creations, a blue variation of that red warrior guy from the RTP, in a crazy game that's meant to mock some elements of old-school, cliche super hero comics, thus Blue Man Dan was born.

I was originally was working on this alongside the Secret of Ludia (before I canceled it), yet I stopped for no apparent reason at all. Recently, I found too much love and fun with this project, so I felt the need to get it done. I consider this project a combination of decent-level work and a result of my corrupted mind.

That's all I have to say at this point. Enjoy.

THE KAH-YE-YAH STORY
On the distant planet of Whatdafuk (WUT-DA-FOOK), nature, people, animals, mutants, and machines live together in harmony. Shikoku Island, one of the smaller islands of the continent of Wapan, is the main focus of our epic story.

Just like the rest of the world, Shikoku Island is a peaceful place, where people would laugh, sing, and dance like White people. All seems to be going well as usual, but peace can be like a bubble on a needle. The wrong people will rise to power and easily destroy it.

One morning, people woke up to the sounds of destruction. Swarms of abnormally large Bumble Bees swarmed the island like locusts, destroying everything in their path. It seems that the witch of a nearby island, named Elle Beetaku, has called for an attack over Shikoku island. She laughs maniacally as her bee's break, detonate, and sting. The people cower and cry in fear, with all hopes of living life lost, but there was one who still had hope, as she ran through the woods and looked to the moon. She prayed to the higher beings of the galaxy, the Chicken Gods, for a hero who will set them free, and become her savior.

A few moments after the prayer, a meteor heading for the planet appeared. It crash landed near the house of a mysterious old man. Curious as he was, the old man brought the meteorite into his house, which was glowing brightly towards his narrow eyes. Suddenly, the meteorite began to crack, then a whack, and then... BANG! The meteor revealed an armored, monkey-faced young man, who jumped into the air in excitement. "Kah-ye-yah!" The man shouted. "I am Blue Man Dan, the Blue Man of Justice!" He was, as he stated, the hero the Chicken Gods has sent, and he promised the old man that he would set the island free from the clutches of Beetaku. He seems like a nut, but boy, does he have some determination! Thus the legacy of Blue Man Dan has begun.

THE CAST
[Show/Hide] Characters

BLUE MAN DAN
Believe it or not, he's the protagonist of this story. Blue Man Dan was an "extra" hero created by the Chicken Gods, and was sent down merely because better heroes, like Superman or Batman, where not in stock. He is a clumsy, hot-blooded man who often acts out of impulse and mere insanity. Despite this fact, he has keen heroic qualities, and is always willing to take a stance against injustice when duty calls. He has a habit of screaming "Kah-ye-yah!" and doesn't know why he does it.

ZEALEA WHITE
Zealea is an 18-year old village girl who has a respected name amongst the citizens of Shikoku Island. She is very kind, forgiving, and helpful towards other people, yet she can easily be the opposite when push comes to shove. When Beetaku's bees invaded Shikoku Island, she prayed to the Chicken Gods for a hero to save the land. Once she met her hero, Blue Man Dan, however, she was completely crushed. Zealea considers Blue Man Dan as an obnoxious joke, and is in disbelief that he is the hero she asked for. In her heart, however, she doesn't dislike Blue Man Dan that much.

ELLE BEETAKU
Beetaku is the main antagonist of the story. She's characterized as having a very teasing, sarcastic personality to both her subjects and her victims. Because she feels that she is unstoppable, she staged an attack on Shikoku Island and marking it as the starting point for her goal of world domination. She does not take Blue Man Dan seriously, and doubts his ability to put an end to her actions.

STEVE "THE WISE MAN" MONOSHIRI
Steve, better known as "The Wise Man", is a lone, elderly man living on a small isle near Shikoku Island. He discovers Blue Man Dan when he "hatches" out of a metorite that landed near Steve's house. He's a bit proud of himself, being that he's "The Wise Man", and has a knack for engineering and building all sorts of strange contraptions like "Bug Spray". Steve is one of the few people that has some bit of faith in Blue Man Dan, despite the fact that he keeps getting called "Grandpa", which he considers greatly offensive.

SAVE FAIRY
Many strange and mystical beings live in the world of Whatdafuk, one of them being the Save Fairies. They use a special kind of Judu (magic) which records people's memories, called "Saving your Progress". They are also gifted with healing powers, which comes from a light, sweet kiss on the lips. The Save Fairies trust in Blue Man Dan, and offer their full, unconditional support for him.

NOTES ON PLAYING
Here are some tips to help you out in playing this game:
> Grinding helps. Not only does it boost your levels and make battles easier for you, it can also earn you money, which you can use to enhance your character's abilities/statistics.

> "Judu" is the term for magic in this game. You learn "Judu Magic" by purchasing "Judu Scrolls" in the armor/judu shops in the towns you visit. It's best to have as many judu skills as possible, as it can make your battle experiences a little more easier.

> The battles are intended to be slightly challenging, where preparation is key. While at the beginning of the game, the enemies won't do that much damage to you, going into fights without full HP/JP can be sometimes detrimental.

> The game's chipset graphics consist of the default RTP and some graphics rips from other games. Sue me.

> As your progress through the game, you may notice some "interesting events" that occur. At that point, you should think about back-tracking to certain areas. You may never know what will happen! [/hint]

Dowload link has been fixed. Sorry, I didn't upload the files properly.

This has also been submitted to RRR's game section.

I will be sure to try it and tell ya what I think. I need a break from that other game anyways. There is a really annoying spot. The idea of using gold to raise attributes seems like an interesting idea.
Ratty524
It's just purchasing new skills, nothing that's new. What annoying spot are you referring to?
demonlord5000
I meant I needed a break from a diffrent game cause of an annoying spot lol. I thought you meant raising actual stats by raising attributes. Ill edit my comments in soon, as im not ready to just yet. That would take a whole lot of balancing to work, and im still not even sure if it would then.

So far my only real complaint is that it starts off a little slow. Since you used the default rtp there isnt really much you could do about the mapping.

Bug 1: Its in the second town you go 2. Go inside the house 2 houses to the right of the item shop (i think), and you come out of the house 3 houses away.

Bug 2: Despite the enemy hitting 0s, I take damage for every time im hit while poisoned.

Bug 3 (I dont think it was intentional): There was a spot I got in a battle while on the ship, and there was also a spot I got into a battle in the castle after rescuing the king (and it had a plains background).

Bug 4: After you rescue the prisoners, that scene happens all over again if you go back in.

bug 5: After beating the boss and only having the minions to deal with, she could still use that summon minion spell. I dont know about other spells, as the battle was nearly over, and used it just as I was about to end.

[Show/Hide] spoiler
Evil ghosts =(. First one killed me. I kinda expected more from the giant bee earlier to. She breast fed insects!o.o

Also I didnt find the bought skills that useful. The only one I ever used was the fire one and thats after saving the king. I never used the healing ones because enemies dropped healing items frequently early on. The fire one makes things easier, but it takes all my judu. Thats not a bad thing, because it would be to easy if it didnt. The skills should be a bit more useful though. Besides that it was a good game.

Well this looks.. Unique haha. I may give this a shot, but Ive never been a fan of those style battlers for some reason. Congrats on finishing a game though.

Interesting. I'll look into it.

I probably won't fix that, but I'll consider looking into it.

Bug 3 (I dont think it was intentional): There was a spot I got in a battle while on the ship, and there was also a spot I got into a battle in the castle after rescuing the king (and it had a plains background).

The battles on the ship I recognized and kept, as far as the castle goes that wasn't intentional.

Bug 4: After you rescue the prisoners, that scene happens all over again if you go back in.

Strange, I thought I created a condition to prevent that. I'll look into it immediately.

I see. That I'll correct as well.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm usually reluctant to edit games that I've already said to be done, but I'll address the ones I quoted immediately.

With a quick edit, I've posted a new link containing the demo with the some of the issues addressed.

Ratty I have an official review on the way... please I warn you, don't really take it personally when I come up with it.
You have a good funny story here, but there were things that I must point out... as part of my job.
Ratty524
... YAY! I've been waiting for someone to review this. Of course I wont take it personally, as I'm expecting people to have criticism. After all, I'm still a learning game maker myself.
Ratty524
I've read the review.

I can't really counter anything you've said. My main problem with this is that I spent more time making a few custom graphics and coming up with a funny storyline than I did trying to make the gameplay interesting and functional. So I believe the lack of effort into the actual game was lacking.

Unfortunately, I have no plans on remaking this game. However, I do have in mind a sequel, and with that review it will force me to make it a better playing experience.
DerKomet
That's good to know... I played one of your games for XP, so I believe that you have done better mapping and graphics with that maker, hopefully your sequel will be using that. And yeah good luck once again.
