Is there some sort of RGSS3 template I could look off of and edit? Maybe a super simple custom menu, or some other form of script that is super simple? I'm learning RGSS3 and I have learned some Ruby but there is that I have seen no good starting place. This may be a stupid question but Google couldn't answer this so I was thinking if there wasn't a template could someone make one? Maybe a fairly commented template of a simple custom menu?

Your question isn't simple to answer. The one advice I can give you is to try modifying windows & scenes in the basic RMVXAce Script Editor and see the effect. I've learned RGSS this way, by trying and trying, modfiying variables here and there, understanding while and for cycles, the if / then / else structure and, last but not the least, the definitions and the attributes.

I think you should give a look to any basic Ruby book about classes and methods and then try applying them to RMVXAce. Seriously, just remember to copy the Script.rvdata2 from the Data folder in order to prevent your scripts to crush the engine smile.gif

Just try without hesitation... and ask support when needed smile.gif

I don't know about templates, but you might take a look at the series that The Law G14 made (for RGSS) and see if that can eventually help you also to work with Ace.
