Ok to get what I mean you should have played some kind of RTS modern game like C&C3 Kane's Wrath. Basically I'd like to play an explosion animation and have that animation have a distortion blur that takes place like most of the explosions in Kane's Wrath. This may not even be possible but it'd provide some cool animation features if it could be done.

Anyways, if anyone has any thoughts on this or wants to attempt this please comment. This should be for VX.

Do as the Shadowslenderval said, take the long way.
You can just export the animation you wanted to blur, and then edit it using PhotoShop which is easy. And just save, rename, then import it to your game. Use that animation file and make a new animation scene. It wasn't really that time consuming though if you're used to it. I myself have about 200 animation in just one game lol. ^^

Well I guess I don't get how it will blur. I can easily make new animations (or duplicate an existing one) but I'm at a loss of how to blur the map with the animation. The Add blending method doesn't blur and neither does subtract.
