Okay, the resource race has inspired me to start working on sprites and such, so I figured I'd display some of my WiP that I am doing. Some more modern sprites.

First, the OC male and female from Slenderman's Army!

A cute, kind of shy blonde girl.

A kind of nerdy punkish girl.

A tomboy!

Any feedback is appreciated!

Thanks, I'm trying to add a lot more details to my sprites, the ones for the Halloween Contest were a bit lacking in that department I felt. I am still having trouble getting shading right, especially on hair for some reason.

i think... hmm, i think u might want to define/ darken their parts a bit more, if that helps.
like darken some of the shades, and make it so what ur looking at is still visible from afar... like hm, i hope u don't mind this. :
.

i don't want to influence what shading style u have, but if it were me, i think.. i'd darken some of the border lines. ( >.<) U should still be able to relatively tell when a shirt starts, or where an arm is, when u zoom out to maybe 1/4 the size.
When ur working on a picture, zooming out constantly can really help, or shading in grayscale and then adding colour. \o/

Specifically for the hair.. it might help to maybe brighten the parts that are immediately facing the light.
Hair tends to be reflective, and the differences between highlights and shadows can be pretty large. Like in this picture.. :
.
