Ok so I was told that to prevent the need for ppl to do a separate download of the default XP RTP I need to instal all the RTP I am using into my game folder, I thought I had already done this by default, I started a game with the normal default RTP and didnt delete anything so I am a bit confused on this, anyone know something about this?

If you do not click 'include RTP' when you compress it, the file deletes all the RTP before compressing, it's meant to save space or whatever when using all custom art and music and such. Should fix the problem if you re-compress it.

For XP?? There is not include box when you go to compress it, there is only the small encrypt in the lower left.

The one way is looking for the RTP folders in your hard disk and paste it inside your game's folder, then when you create a game disk, you'll be able to insert it in your compressed archive.
RMXP is not RMVX / VXACE: there isn't an option to include the RTP directly in your project, you should do that manually.

That's all, folks smile.gif

Jens is correct, XP didn't have the option to include RTP data, so you'll have to manually move the RTP into your project before compressing (you can do this via the method Jens mentioned).

And again, if the data is too large to successfully compress, then you can always use the default program on Windows to create an EXE with the multiple folders separate from the compressed game data. =]

Neither, you want to take the Audio and Graphics folders (they are inside the Standard folder) and copy them into the Audio and Graphics folders in your project. Don't worry about replacing existing files if it asks, just skip replacing and test it out.
If it doesn't work, then you might need to replace same-named files, but be sure that those files are not custom files that you have created (so create a backup of your project files before doing any of this). =]

Ick! Never realized they removed such a valid option in RMXP. But then again, I've never built a game on RMXP.

They didn't really remove it from XP, they simply hadn't created that option until VX was released. =]

Well how does it not replace my custom work, I went to copy the graphics folder over my graphics folder in Kingdom and it just says do you want to replace it so why wouldnt it just erase all my stuff? Or do I have to go into each single folder and add in the default stuff?

Gonna want to add it by hand, you could also add your custom work to the normal folder then move it, all at once, whichever is easier work.
