New members simple guide

>What you should do:

1. Enjoy your stay here :);
2. Don't worry if you need help, just ask either a Moderator or Director and they will advise you- they don't bite :D
3. Help anyone you can, if you feel you're able to;

>What you should know:

1. After having achieved a 100 posts score, you will be given the rank of Revolutionary and a personal gallery in which you can upload your graphics; You'll also be able to add a "customized title" to be displayed instead of the member level;
2. You need 100 posts in order to require a graphic resource in the Resource Forum and in the Script Requests Forum.
3. If you desire, you can also ask a Director to change your username, once you've become Revolutionary;
4. Be sure you read the Board Rules at least once!
5. RM2K3 download was disabled due to legal stuff, since the English translation was not authorized by Enterbrain;
6. Before asking for something, search the forum. Maybe you'll find exactly what you were looking for.

>Side notes:
1.While managing your own gallery, avoid using the ' in images' names to prevent your gallery from crashing and the site from producing an error message.

We have a useful F.A.Q.

Well, I like to do a bit graphic design.

Like this:
Example

o__o

I'm also in love with almost all genres of music, but i've recently become slightly interested in learning to play the piano.
For the programme, I use RPG Maker VX Ace, but if you have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know.

Welcome to R3! happy.gif

VXAce is the latest version, so I guess you can't go wrong there, lol.
Nice work with the graphic art, though I would recommend (in that particular image) that you make the reflection less direct by shifting it slightly (you can do that by using the transform tool in Photoshop, if you have Photoshop). Just a suggestion to make it look more realistic (as reflections rarely give a complete reflection, unless he's riding on top of a mirror). wink.gif

Anyway, being able to create graphics is a large part of game-making, though usually in the form of sprites and battlers (those are the pixel graphics used in the game to represent characters on the map and in battle), however attack animations and basic window/logo/etc. designs are usually custom-made so your graphic-editing experience should come in handy when designing a VXAce game. =]

Welcome Naga.

For a quick tour...

You might want to check out the Game Engines section to learn a bit more about the RPG makers. When you have a project that is ready to post, look for the Production section to post your project. Be sure to read the guidelines before posting, however (they should be stickied in the forums)

Other than that, if you want to learn/discuss about game design you can go here. If you just want to chat or post some artwork you can visit here and here. For other questions feel free to ask us or any of the experienced members here on this site.
