Koyuki finally reached the witch's room. She sighed as she saw just what she expected- Leon and Elly struggling with fighting Kirsten's fake form. She blocked her mind to it and shot it a couple of times, making it vanish into dark dust.
A small TV popped in the middle of the room, and suddenly the world around them began to spin. They were in a blue room, but this one stretched out endlessly both up and down, and only had six TVs that were turned off for them to stand in.
The TV that had appeared in the end of the room showed a picture of a girl. She was being followed by several Danyyiel and Jennifer, almost as if she was leading them. Suddenly, it spun and multiplied. There were now four TVs dancing around the center of the room, but only one of them was the real Kirsten. The others were only traps, they would become familiars or shoot lighting if they were hit.
"The only real one is the one with the girl picture, the others will hurt you badly." Koyuki said. She could most likely have killed the witch with a shot from her cannon, but she'd get weaker, and if it didn't work Kirsten would definitely kill her.
"Block your minds from it, or she'll read your thoughts!" She warned, materializing a small gun.

Elly managed to stand up, the blows had hurt but she was recovering easily, just as she regained her feet the world spun and changed. "What's going on?" She was confused, that witch had been a fake? Guard her mind? How was she supposed to do that? Elly shifted her hammer and jumped around on the televisions. She did not know how to shield her mind, but she did know how to confuse her opponent, she let her jumble of emotions run free, acting on instinct, she slammed down on the witch with her hammer.

It occurred to Leon at that moment that his sister had no idea how to unleash the full extent of her powers, what was her incubator doing? Leon closed his fist in anger, after they finished this monster he would have to train her, just like the others. "I understand, Senpai." He took a deep breath and his mask slid into place, blocking off his thoughts from the world, it seemed it was quite defensive. He jumped off the stand in an instant, almost a blur to the eye. Before his sister's hammer landed he had struck the television with the girl in it six times. He landed back on his platform to check his results.

"Elly, focus on a thought. Think only of it, strongly, and don't let the witch come in. You'll feel if she does." Koyuki said, focusing on the pattern of her scales. Her mastery over the mind allowed her to easily block off Kirsten completely.
She shot the television once and watched it spin. The order of the TVs was switched, but Kirsten was still the one with the girl. A lighting bolt TV shot a few balls of light towards Koyuki, who swiftly dodged them. "Watch out for which you hit, or you can get all of us hurt." She warned, jumping and kicking Kirsten strongly. She hit one of her wings, leaving her flying a bit compromised. "That's your opening there, take it!" She yelled, materializing a small cannon and shooting the witch.

Elly was not listening, she was already boiling over with emotions and reacting just on instinct at this point. She saw the witch injured and unleashed her power. She dropped to a television, and swung back her hammer, she focused her power and the hammer tripled in size and became covered in spikes. "You'll die!" She yelled and hurled the hammer at the witch.

Leon waited until the last second to make his move, he knew he was fast enough now. Just as the hammer and cannon shot collided with the witch he vanished, he was moving so fast that everything else looked like it was standing still. He slammed his fists into the witch sixteen times in an instant and then moved back to his platform. He did not know why he was this fast, but it felt like he was draining his magic pretty quickly. He closed his hand and added the explosion of his runes to the attack by the others. There was no way the witch could have survived all that.

Koyuki breathed in relief as she saw Kirsten shatter, victim of their combined attacks. The barrier around them melted, and a grief seed and cards appeared on the mall ground. A jumble of confused thoughts reached Koyuki from the people around her, as she undid her transform and picked the seed to give it to Erin. She turned around, but Erin wasn't standing there.
She was lying on the ground, breathing unstably, cuts scattered through her skin. She wasn't transformed, but her soul gem was there. It was completely corrupted.
"E-Eri...?" Koyuki's voice was fearful as she walked to her friend. "Eri...! No!!" She screamed, the realization of what was happening finally filled her mind. She desperately tried to cleanse her soul gem with Kirsten's seed, afraid of the result.

Erin watched a blurred Koyuki approach her, with a black sphere in her hand. It was a grief seed. Erin knew it was hopeless. Her soul gem had already become a grief seed, she was already a witch. She projected one last time, explaining to the other magi what had happened.
The familiars... They waited until you were gone... They all attacked me at once, I had no chance of winning... I'm ao sorry... and the world around her became distorted. She was falling down a deep tunnel, a tunnel made of drawings of her and her friends. But where were them? Nowhere, they had all abandoned her. But Erin... no, Sophia was her name. Sophia only wished to forgive them, but she had to find them. She could make new friends as well, and she would not let them leave. She laughed at her thoughts.

And Erin's body began to fade.

Leon was by Erin's side in a moment, it didn't matter the amount of magic he used, he wasn't going to let her fade. "Damn it, Erin! Fading away is what I do! I won't let you leave! I won't!" He held her body close but could already feel it getting lighter and thinner. It was too late. Too late. He had failed her, he had promised to be by her side and protect her, but instead he ran off like a jerk. She was becoming a witch and it was all his fault. Tears fell from his eyes and splashed on the ground, Erin was already becoming incorporeal.

Elly didn't know what was going on, why was this girl so hurt? Wouldn't her magi powers heal her? Onii-san was sad, the other girl was sad, what was going on? Elly moved up beside her brother. "Hey, get up. You can't fade away, you can't. I thought you were my rival, are you going to give up so easily?" Something was wrong with Elly, she felt war, liquid roll down her cheeks and she didn't know why. Was she crying? Why? She didn't even know this girl, so why did she care if the girl faded away? She dropped her head as broken sobs escaped from her throat.

Sophia heard cries from a very, very far away place, calling her. She recognized her friends' voices. Were they looking for her? Were they worried? She felt strong happiness, she would reunite with them soon, surely she would. She vanished slowly from the strange place and appeared somewhere else. A place that captivated her, and made her feel good. She did not know where she was, but it felt good.
Sophia looked at the sky, at the very topmost of her tunnel. It was dark, was it night already? She would sleep for the night. She would meet her friends the next day, and make new ones too.

Neverending tears dropped from Koyuki's eyes, as she tried to get up and regain her composure. She had been the one to cause all of that, she never should've left Erin alone. She tried to get up, falling to her knees once more, as her sobbing began to be controlled by her mind, slowly ceasing, until she was only crying quietly. She wanted to talk, she wanted to leave that place, but words failed to leave her lips, and her legs were frozen.

Inkyu appeared in a corner, softly shaking his tail. Thank you for all that energy. It was certainly very great, I rarely get that kind of amount. He said, tauntingly.

Leon stood up slowly and turned to face Inkyu. He was calm, surprisingly calm. He walked over to the rodent but did not touch it. He looked down at the hateful creature. "You say you are doing all this to save the universe? Why do I care about the universe. You take away everything we love, you hurt us, just to fulfill some sick and twisted dream. You claim it is to save the universe, but you sacrifice nothing to help the universe. I vow to you, that before I die, I will destroy your entire planet, I will wipe your people out of existence. I will do this, and you will know fear." Leon's eyes were hollow, void of emotion, he could feel nothing more, he had nothing left. He started to turn away, letting Inkyu think about it when a hammer smashed down on the creature, destroying it.

Elly pulled her hammer back up. She could not stand these hateful creatures, she could no longer trust Beyto either, only Onii-san knew what was right. "Onii-san." She touched his arm but he did not react, she could feel no emotions coming from him, she couldn't even manipulate him. This was not her normal Onii-san, he was changed. "Please don't leave me, Onii-san. I can't be alone.....not again." Tears began to well up in her eyes again, she was scared, nothing was right.

"It's hopeless... don't waste your energies trying to kill that thing..." Koyuki spoke, her voice was surprisingly low, like a whisper. She finally managed to get up, staring blankly at where Elly had landed a hit moments before. She needed to get out of there, fast. "Let's... let's go home." She said. "You should both stay at my place, we need to rest, we can all think about this tomorrow" A few tears fled her eyes, falling down her cheeks into the floor.
The people around them were no longer staring. Koyuki was manipulating what they saw. All they could see was a norma' mall food court. But no, a girl had died there, moments before. And not just any girl.
She was Koyuki's best friend.

Leon did not react to anything, he followed Koyuki-Senpai without a word, or even a thought. He had closed himself off, this was his way of dealing with this crisis and the only way he would keep from becoming corrupted. Nothing mattered to him any more, he would fulfill his duties of being a hero and would save as many people as he could, but he had but one thought on his mind, revenge. He would put all of his effort into finding out how to get to the Incubator home world and he would crush each and every single one of them, none were innocent, none.

Elly followed along, holding her brother's hand, but she was pretty sure he hadn't even noticed. She was scared, but not for herself, she was scared of what her brother was becoming. He had been such a happy and fun person, but now, he was cold and uncaring. She did not like this. She would have to trust this Koyuki person to take care of him, she had to find a way to save the person he lost, otherwise she would lose her Onii-san too, and Elly just couldn't take that.

Everyone was silent for the rest of the way home. Koyuki knew what they were thinking about, but her own thoughts were overwhelming. She had lost Erin. The faded streetlights lit the night street, but everything seemed so cold and empty. She mechanically opened her apartment's door, and opened the door of Witches Wall. She wasn't going to research, though. She lay down and let her tears flow freely as she stared into the white ceiling blankly. This woul calm her down, it always did.

Leon walked into the apartment and said nothing. He pointed Elly towards his room, and then lay down on the couch. He closed his eyes, but did not sleep. He would not sleep this night, he had far to much to think about. He knew that if the Incubator could come to this planet they would have to have a mode of transportation, he would have to figure out what it was. It would be hard to get information from them and not reveal his reasoning at the same time. He had given them his statement of death, he would not reveal how he would do it. "Erin...." He whispered weakly, a bit of emotion trying to tear at his heart.

Elly followed them into the strange house. "Onii-san...do you want me to make something to eat?" He did not respond to her, in fact he likely didn't even hear her. Elly walked to the room that Onii-san had pointed out, it was spacious but empty, kind of like her heart at the moment. What could she do to help out her brother? Her wish was to bring Joy and Happiness to people, but so far she was just a big failure. She lay down and buried her face in the pillows, eventually crying herself to sleep.

The bright morning sun greeted Koyuki's face, as she opened her eyes, full of dry tears. She sat up, enjoying the moment while she didn't remember what she was doing on the carpet floor.
Right. Erin had... it was too painful, too painful to speak. She slowly stood up, and walked to the kitchen, preparing something to eat. She wasn't hungry, but the other two surely were.
Today, she would go hunting. She was sure she'd find Erin and save her, no matter the cost. It was her fault Erin had become a witch, and so she would solve the problem.

Leon was already awake, in fact he had not slept. He sat up as Koyuki came out of the witch's den and entered the room. He began to access her information, even though he didn't understand how it worked, he would take all the time that was needed. He ignored information on the witches and looked for information on the Incubators, surely she would have some information, it probably wouldn't be much but it would be a start. Oddly he didn't feel tired, nor did he feel hungry and he certainly didn't care about going back to school. Without her, it was all pointless. His mind briefly flashed to Elly, but he was pretty sure she was still asleep. He wanted to close himself off to the world, but he could not abandon his sister, she needed him too.

"Hey, kids! Do you wanna eat?" Koyuki asked, yelling. She was deep in thought, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't remember the correct order of Erin's witch map. The last one had been at the shopping area, but what next?
That was it, the residential area. Which means sge could be close. She finally remembered. She walked to Witches Wall, and surprisingly Leon was there, searching something intently.
"If you're looking for information on Incubators" She started "It's on the leftmost folder." She left the room, going back to her cooking.

[Shaddow]

Leon gave the smallest of nods in acknowledgement of Koyuki's assistance. He opened up the left-most folder and found what he was looking for, he hungrily ate up the information, but was left wanting. He found that Incubators were using the energy to save the universe, supposedly, and that they found that young humans had the most energy to give, when turned into witches. This was nothing new, there was nothing he could use here. The Incubators had been on this planet for generations, that was thousands of years of hopes and dreams shattered because they could not find another source of power. This would not stand, he would find a way to stop the Incubators.

Sophia was dancing, eager to see her friends. She was surrounded by houses, tall houses were thousands of potential friends were living. She smiled as a girl passed near her, running. She had beautifully long hair, of a sweet hazel color with large curls. Sophia smiled as she started running after the girl, passing more and more houses. When she reached the girl, Sophia playfully bit her neck, asking if she would like to be her friend. The girl stopped. She turned to Sophia and quietly nodded.
The witch smiled, she had a new friend now! There was something they had to do before the girl could join Sophia for a tea party, though. The girl climbed to the roof of a tall building, the witch was waiting on the bottom. This would be so much fun, like a great hug symbolizing their friendship.

Leon's danger sense went off, it was nearby and someone was in danger. His research would have to wait. He was transformed and out the door in less then a second. He was burning a lot of energy moving at this speed, but he could not wait, the feeling was insistent, someone was about to die. "Not....AGAIN!" He roared as he approached the girl. To him it was all slow motion, a girl looking oddly was jumping from a roof of a building. He reached her just before she hit the ground. He grabbed her and rolled. He looked at her and noticed a strange mark on her neck, a witch. "No...NO! ERIN!" He yelled, it couldn't be her, could it? He didn't know what to do with the girl, who had lost consciousness from the fall. He de-transformed and carried her back to Koyuki's house, she would know what to do.

Koyuki barely moved her head up from research on soulification when she heard the door open, and close again. After a few moments, Leon entered the Wall. He was holding a girl with a witch's kiss on her neck. Koyuki approached them, slowly recognizing the girl.
"Hey... that's Natsumi from our class!" She said, suddenly paying more attention. Natsumi had been kissed by a witch? "Oh no... do you think the witch is...?" Koyuki's face suddenly turned scared. Erin... Was she already trying to kill people? It was understandable, witches started their business as soon as they could. But it still made Koyuki sad. How would she ever fight her best friend?

Sophia cried, far and wide. She had lost her friend, someone had stolen her! A monster sized tear fled her eye, soaking her dress. She was alone again, she had no friends. But she would find them. Now, if only someone would pass by again... She could finally let her tea party begin.

Leon's heart hurt, he had been thinking about what he had to do the entire time he was walking back, and he did not like it. "I am going to patrol, Senpai. I can't let her hurt anyone, I can't let her bare that pain when we get her back. We can get her back, can't we?" He thought about how they had saved Koyuki-Senpai, and he looked down at his ring, his soul gem was already half corrupted. He would not be able to take on her corruption himself. He set the girl down and turned away. "I will stop her, I won't let her stain her soul with death, no matter the cost." With that he step outside of the door and let it slam behind him.

Elly lay on the bed, she had heard everything her brother said and it brought the tears back to her eyes, why did he have to take on such a hard task? Why was he always taking on such a burden for others, it wasn't fair! It wasn't! She sat up and looked around, she was in a strange place in a strange circumstance and she really didn't know how to handle it. She wanted to go to Onii-san for help, but he already was worried about so much that she didn't want to bother him. "Daddy....what do I do?"
