Also I really like your idea, it's quite epic and ambitious, and I love your main character so I am all for it. Allow me a moment to mind think things and I shall give some idears.

Here's a recap of what I wrote!

Aether, a mysterious substance in the air, is a primal source of the universe – and only when it is condensed, will one be able to see it. The stars in the sky are such an example, as they are purely made of Aether.

Every so often, a shooting star is spotted in the night sky, as it quickly lands onto the surface of the planet. Most of the time, a ball of Aether will be in its place, but rarely, a seemingly mortal-like child will be there - a being made of Aether and flesh...

Floating above the earth, is a large, swirly black mass. From it, monsters called Voidspawn are created, causing terror.

~The main character, Corinne (the girl I've drawn/pixeld) is a star and she must make a great decision near the end of the story...
~I'm not sure how mortals use Aether to use magic, yet.
~The world has no name yet
~I need help ._.

The two characters that MUST be set in stone are:

Corinne Lanik - the star (literally)

William Tallahan. The boy with the green wizard hat and tunic I pixeled in my topic!

Other than that, the whole story is open to be worked on! ^__^

Couple of ideas:

Planet name - maybe something like Aerun? Similar to the mana and such, makes sense to me but I can have other ideas if this one isn't liked.

I think that mortals should require the use of devices to use Aether for magic, they can harness it for energy or for magic, but they do not have the capacity to do it themselves.

I like the concept of the comic being done in pixilated style, you do it really well and it's a unique concept, this is of course it's not too annoying for you to do it.

Oh I also think the comic needs some humor and not just 100% epicness, to draw in a bigger audience.

Aerun is a fantastical name!

I was thinking of them using stones - like condensed Aether spheres or something. XD Aerstones maybe? o.o

A whole pixelated comic? D= I think that would be cool, but very difficult for me. Drawing is easier for me, actually. I just have to learn to ink and color, and I'll be good!

There will be some humor (ESPECIALLY between Corinne and William - Corinne is really bold, William is very shy, etc.). XD

I like those ideas, also you and I are on the same track with the using of stones. I was also thinking, depending on how modernish it is, we could have them use Aether for machines and such too, but that all depends on the settings, give us some more details, papayaberry!

Also: I have no problem helping you write out scenarios and dialogues too, you just need to let me know about character personalities.

I was thinking the story is pure fantasy.

They might have some basic machines, though. Like clockwork/flintlock pistols. They can use fire Aerstones to use them? And maybe water Aerstones to have running water? They don't have any cool modes of transportation like cars or trains, yet though. If you have any idea of technology they might have, then share!

I shall tell you a bit about Corinne and William.

They are quite opposites of the spectrum. Corinne is optimistic, bold, and playful. William is timid, submissive, and a pessimist. XD

Corinne - I think her outfit needs more work. XD

I like the designs! You might add some more detail to the dress itself though, it looks a bit plain but pretty.

I like the concept of stones used for pistols and running water. They could also use Air Aerstones(Heh punny) for ship transportation, like speed increases on the water? Earth could be used for magical construction and such.

I like the personalities too! I can work with those as a writer!

Corinne's dress needs more work. Maybe Cookie can help - if she's onboard - or anyone else. XD I honestly suck at costume design.

I have a document for William my friend gave me (he belongs to him - that's why he's set in stone), if you want to read it and learn more about him.

Also... The only races so far are: Star People (Corinne), Humans (William), Elves (??????), and Voidspawn (demon-like creatures). XD

Actually Vivi and Vanille are two of my favorite FF characters! I'll write up some dialogue samples and see what you think, may take me a bit though I want them to look good.

Anyways, so I've been doing some thinking and I'm going to make up a scenario and have a bit of dialogue between Corinne and William

Scenario: *William is sitting outside on a hill, watching the stars in the sky, thoughts lost into the endless void, Corinne sneaks up behind him and throws her arms around his neck and grabs him with a smile.*

William: Uaaaaah! What? Who?

*He struggles to pull away from whatever attacked him suddenly. After a moment he manages to roll over and notices it is Corinne.*

Corinne: Hahahaha! What are you thinking about, William?

*William pulls away and sits in a huff.*

Corinne: Awwww, c'mon! Tell me what you were thinking about! I'm sorry I scared you! I didn't mean to, really!

*William looks up at her still angry*

William: Why do you always do that? One of these times I'm really going to die of fright!

Corinne: Oh, don't be such a wimp! You are tougher then that!

*William glares at her*

Corinne: Besides, if you were so afraid of being attacked you wouldn't sit up on this hill alone. Now tell me what you were thinking about or I'll tackle you again!

William: Sigh. I was wondering where Aether comes from, if you must know.

Corinne: Where Aether...?

William: Well, I just wonder if it's really from the stars, and why sometimes it crashes onto Aerun.

*Corinne looks down, thoughts running through her mind.*

William: Corinne?

Corinne: Oh. Nothing. That's some really deep thoughts to be having, what brought that on?

William: I guess, I'm just worried that the Aether may run out some day, what would we do then? We've come to depend on it so much.

Corinne: Oh, don't worry about things so much! Aether won't run out!

*Corinne smacks William on the back with a laugh.

So yeah, just a sample scenario, you can use it or not or whatever, just kind of how I'd see interaction between the two.

I like that idea/dialogue. It's cute. XD Maybe we can have the characters in a cute-like style too...? I love the relationship between Will and Corinne.
The first pixel/animated image looks amazing by the way, wowow. And the last one is very pretty... I can't see the 2nd one though. ( D: )


For the stones... maybe they're created from the shooting stars? Like where the stars touch/land, the earth gets "contaminated" and turns into aerstone? However, when the concentration of aerstone is high enough, it causes the black swirlies of voids? So aerstone is both a lifesource but a threat.
