An Idea! Options

Hello all!

I've been toying with this idea for a game for awhile now... I just don't know how to execute all of it...

I shall explain.

You are given a set number of hearts, and are defenseless against everything. You are also given a stamina bar that allows you run slightly faster. You must survive several maps/levels until you get to the end of the game. Maybe 10 levels? XD This would probably work better if the maps were random each time, but my knowledge is only with RPG Maker XP.

Anyhoo... While you traverse these maps, there are several creatures and traps that await you. Creatures with various speeds and power, such as one really fast or one that can knock off more than one heart! Ooooo... XD The traps can do various things such as slow you down or make you unable to use your stamina bar.

I was also thinking of adding in various items that appear in the levels/maps. Like a heart item that replenishes you slightly, or maybe collectables. And maybe at the end of the game you get a score or something! Like how often you were hurt, how long it took you, and if you collected the "collectables".

I want a simple, cute story to go along with this. However, I cannot think of one. D= I thought of a star that fell from above and wants to go home, or a young maiden captured by evil wizard and has to escape his castle.

Do you have something to add? A story idea? Does this seem alright?

I just want to finish something without giving up for once...

I mean it sounds appealing as I do have some characters and a story, but I don't think I could do it and make it stand out above the rest, you know?

I just have an urge to make a game and finish something for once, and this one was probably just a silly idea anyway.

Well you do have your game and it looks great, whats wrong with finishing that one?

Well, I broke up with the creator of the Ghost Shards, and now it's on hiatus. He says he will work on it, but I want to work on something really bad and I don't feel like waiting around with him. >>

Also, to Magical_RuNE_Knight2001 and MEands, yes! Any help would be awesome! I suck at things like mapping, writing and eventing. I'll take care of spriting, artwork, and stuff! We could become a team. ^___^

EDIT: Someone gave me the idea of being to chose between three characters - each with their own strength and weakness - kind of like a difficulty choice-thing! I loved it!

I didn't know Ghost Shards was a collab game. : O But aww, that sucks.
I'm guessing he got busy with real life? That's how most things seem to go about.

Also, great. XD ^^ I am not much of a writer, but I actually really enjoy mapping.
