VL Gothic not appearing in RPG Maker XP, Title says it all. Options

So, I have Google-d and searched this issue and have found naught. The title more or less says it all and I was wondering if anyone could help me. I haven't done much with RMXP in a very long time.

To further explain, I'm using the Auto Font Install 1.1 (Wachunga) script to install VL-Gothic-Regular.ttf (which works fine) and the RMXP Standard Development Kit (SDK) 2.4 (as it was required by the Auto Font Install script) if that helps. I've tried every combination of code I've found in any help topics dealing with this problem. However, this one font seems to give me the slip as all menus and text appear blank. I don't know if I'm labeling it wrong as "VL Gothic" but like I've said; I've tried other forms of that and the code to make it work. Any and all help is appreciated.
