My OS (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) is fine now, but here's the situation:
I left my computer on last night and when I woke up, it was turned off. I originally thought someone turned it off, but when I tried to turn it on; the tower didn't even turn on. A few tries, and it turned on and I got a BOD message. After that, Windows started up fine. The only new change I've had is a new internet connection and the administrative events in the event viewer shows a bunch of connection related errors, mostly DNS client events, but it also had two service control managers, one dhcp-client, and one kernel-power as the source of events in the list.

The dump from the event log:

Edit: Did some research and discovered the cause was probably an overheat.

Overheat seems likely.

Computers of all kinds are very prone to heat damage, and (paradoxically) no one wants a loud computer, so fans are often not powerful enough. This problem is more prominent in laptops, but occurs in desktops as well. If problems persist, I'd recommend not leaving your computer on too long, or make sure it's well ventilated.

Your connection and DNS event logs are very common (my internet connection cuts in and out a lot, so I get lots of those errors, lol).

Yeah, this is definitely an overheating issue - computers automatically shut off at a particular temperature to protect the hardware.
Since you are using a desktop, you might want to check to see if all the ventilation fans are working, and make sure that there isn't a lot of dust inside the tower (as that can cause issues, including overheating). As Sparrowsmith suggested, you might have your computer in a bad location (bad ventilation); desktops are generally large and seem out of place when on top of a desk, however I would recommend placing it just about anywhere except for underneath the desk (where dust collects and air-flow is reduced).
Another suggestion, if your computer has the functionality, would be to increase the fan speed slightly (it will be louder, but at least it won't die after being left on over night). If not, then you might want to set the computer to automatically shut off after it has been idle for more than a couple of hours (see the power settings for those options if you decide to go that route).

Note that if you are in a warm area (and especially if you are without air conditioning) your computer may overheat from normal use, so keep that in mind as well.

Hope that helps. =]
