Mister Big T, your caves look too man made. They are very straight and look like more of a house sort of structure. Unless they ARE man made (like a mine or something), you really need to make them look more realistic. Give more curves to it. A cave wall isn't just straight, like a hallway is

It doesn't look as cave-like as it should. And the shadows don't look the greatest. Is there even any light inside of the cave? Either way, blocky shadows take away a lot of realism.
Mr Big T, your map is too squared and doesn't look like a natural cave. Sorry I didn't know about the rule for posting screenshots and normally I always do its just that this page had no screenshots for me to comment on so I have had to backtrack now to find a screen shot.

There will be but as I mentioned, these are just flat WIPs before lightning or anything.
@Obsorber The actual map itself is nice but I have few beefs with it, what's with the tiny mugshot of the actor? It's barely comprehensible and is just a mess of pixels! The chair is also in wrong perspective and looks entirely out of place with everything else.
I have something super special, not just a screenshot.

Also I just want to say that the trailer video of the battle-system is well done. I'm not fond of front view battle-systems but yours seems quite attractive and pulled off well.

The HUD looks great man! If you made the face in there a bit bigger I think it would look a bit better. I also like the Dash and Sneak options, and the fact that there's a bar for both of them.

You're using a lot of unnecessary real-estate with your hud especially if you actually look at how small the meters are compared to the hud's background...
I don't like it man, it uses to much space for what you're showing inside...

@mister big T@ Your super attack script? or event? whatever is AWSOME! I wonder if that is possible in 2003... anywaaay... THis is my first town and no this is olny part of the town. I just didnt feel like uploading so many pics. To explain this and similar to paper mario and other modern rpgs the town is spilt into sections. Umm so what do I need to improve?
From what I'm seeing from your screenshots you are using vx or vxace so it might be a problem with blocky maps in those makers by nature but still I'll have to agree with everyone pointing out the maps are too squarish to be real caves.
I don't want to boast my maps or anything but when you create a cave you need to have it odd, curvy with closed passages that still show their path but not reachable. (Maybe there was some earthquake or something for example)
Like I said this map is not to boast my ego or something but to provide you help:
This is a map from one of my paused projects at 1/4th view from rpg maker xp. (It is not a small map)
I don't know if on vx or vxace it's possible to create such types of walls but that is how a natural non man made cave is and there's also blocked passages or no floor.
A suggestion I can give you is if for example you wanted to map a desert you type in google images "rpg maker xp desert" and you can have an idea on how others did a desert and take ideas from them.
Namco, I'm afraid I can't see your picture at all. If you could take it in-game that'd be much more preferred x) Also, please use image tags when posting images...
I like the guy going on top of the shed to get the cat xD that's some nice comedy relief in what I would guess to be a serious moment. Your grammar is a LOT better than what you usually see in people's projects xD However, I would suggest changing it to this: "I love you." That's the thing you want to hear one day, right? So keep on harvesting; one of these days you just might hear it." I don't know what's up with the ellipsis... it seems out of place. Also, the trees and such look a little bit randomly placed. I don't know if that's what you're going for or not... but if it isn't, try adding a bit more structure, I guess?

Believe or not, this is actually a gameplay screenshot. Feralzen is your "shop" you can call give to her souls you've harvested at any given time. On each occasion, she has a small line of dialogue with you, this being one of the things. The elipses are to make it seem like she adds a pause or a thought about what to say.
