I think it's more about the presentation than the content in many cases. Attitude has everything to do with it, and a bad attitude really doesn't settle well with most people in charge. As long as your attitude wasn't as ugly as the "fighting words", most people would normally be lenient regarding an argument/disagreement/etc. =]
Of course, I don't know the situation so I can't say that was the case, but it's an observation. =D
Yes, that's true. : ) No one likes being talked to rudely. It's interesting because you're supposed to avoid saying "you" in arguments. As for my attitude.. well, i can't really speak for myself, but... i hope i'm a decent person lol? XD idk, i like being around people and i think i get along well w/ others. Ma report card says so! Hahaha.
The situation was pretty interesting, yeah. Although i have to admit... tbh... i've never met people like that on that site. They were... very interesting. Idk if they would count as the most people you're talking about... my sister was actually in awe that i was talking to them. Aha. '^' "
They said the F word to me though. And said i should live in a forest. And later on i got messages about being killed or that i would be killed. And... well, i never read the other messages because i was too scared + sad... ._. can't believe i'm saying all this. "XD

Wow, well threats can be reported if you feel it necessary (either to the administrators of the site, or if they aren't listening, the FBI if you are in the U.S.). You should never be afraid to report threats like that, especially if you feel they are serious threats.

Ok new update! I just got banned from RPG maker web as well lol. So I believe the only place left for me to get banned from is RRR. I dont believe there is much point in making RPG games if there is not a forum/community to share them with lol.
If you got banned from two places in a short time, it's pretty much means you were a huge dick. Just sayin'

I've never really been on many RPG sites besides this one. I have looked around (and maybe posted) on rpgmakervx.net and rpgmakervxace.net and from what I can tell.... Well... I can feel the power that emits from a mod or admin. Like seriously, I don't like when someone becomes a mod and they have to act like they know everything and everyone else is wrong. Personally, I feel like a regular member that has extra duties. That's all.
@Kread What have you been up to lately... Expect getting potential warns of course
Well, I wouldn't recommend posting images of you shooting Oceans Dream here, but I think that's more of a discretionary thing than a direct violation of a rule. (Because obviously you have no intentions of shooting anyone in the head... I hope, lol.) To be on the safe side, you could always say that you are making a joke (almost anything you post in the Spaminator topic is considered a joke, so that's probably where you could have that kind of fun - as long as we don't get a lot of complaints). If we do get complaints, we'll confront you about it and likely remove whatever was causing an issue; it's also possible to get a warn for something that is complained about - but we'll let you know if you're heading for a ban.
Note: I love Oceans Dream! Also, if you shoot him in the head, then all his dreams will come out into reality in one big wave. Just like a particular flying rainbow cat that we're all so familiar with. (I'm terrible at cracking jokes, so just ignore this note, lol.)
You mean the nyan cat
Back on topic.
I have never been banned from an RPG maker forum AT ALL. LOL!
And this is the only forum i love LOL.

Yeah man, its the power trip anyone not used to the slightest degree of it develops. We had this one guy who was a student like us who ratted out everyone in the halls because he'd applied for some honorary title (not that he was qualified security or anything or even got any sort of paycheque or benefit. Nope he was just a qualified rat, what an upgrade). Naturally he hunted down anyone that didnt fit his ethic code and, I'm sure you can agree, quite creepily gave me the slide 'til my flatmate rejected him. Afterwards, retaliation for a love affair I did not commit abounded. Massive abuse of 'power', more morally 'incorrect' than anything he was reporting.
As I've said before I've browsed the other forums and think their far too aggressive. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable posting there, so their elitism backfires a bit when it gains other sites new members.

I would say they just seemed very immature, I mean I like acting like a ass from time to time, but thats because I dont have any responsibilities on these sites, im not a mod or staff member, so when I see a MOD making raciest comments about Hispanics I just laugh, and then realize that its a mod saying it and am just amazed, how are these guys made into mods/staff? They clearly dont review there ppl very well.
So I was banned from one site by a raciest mod for defending myself and was banned from the other site for being a ass lol, all together a very interesting experience! To bad though cause it looks like I lost my best pix artist out of it but ehh.

Yeah.
Racist jokes aren't appreciated here, despite me personally being tolerant of those jokes. I don't mind hearing racist jokes from a friend or family member that says it aloud at my house or theirs, but when in a public forum it really isn't appreciated or recommended.
And here at RRR, it is also against the rules.

I think the way your handling all of this is pretty immature, even if this was a joke a board admin/mod may not want a user like you on his or her board and especially a company board as well. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if you didn't get banned here as well.
I haven't joined RPG Maker web's forums yet but from what I've heard it's a calm place to show off your games, I've been on RPG Maker Net for years and it's never been strict in the least.. Though me and wip talked a lot in those days mostly about the python language.
I'm not to fond of the new rmn mod team it's eventually just going to turn into another GamingW which no one wants to see or visit ever again..

It's not a great way to handle it, but it's not violating any rules. It could escalate some inter-forum drama, but people are only speaking their mind, it's in no way backed by the mods, so I don't see that happening. Long story short, we don't ban people for complaining about something, even if that thing is getting banned elsewhere. We're pretty lenient. The number of times I've dealt with... unfavorable characters is tiring, but none of them have ever been banned without numerous suspensions first, multiple warnings, and actual rule breaking. So you should be very very surprised if he gets banned here over this.
Then again, I've skimmed this topic somewhat. Just checking for rule breaks, it's what i do

So what that means is IM STAYING! hard to believe I know But ive actually got a new respect for this site, I seem to enjoy helping out around here more then I used to, doing good deeds and all. And the fact that some ppl want me banned from this site to just makes it that much sweeter to be here
Its not Immature to use your free speech, then again if you are from a country that doesnt have that I guess it would seem weird. Im just happy to see the ppl here haven't forgotten me.

One thing to keep in mind is that "Freedom of Speech" rights don't really extend into forums. Sure you have a right to say what you want, but the mods and Admins have a right to ban whomever they want. That's not to say I agree with that view, nor do I see that happening here, but I have seen it in other sites, and I have witnessed comments from the banning staff members saying as such.
In regards to RMN, I've always felt it was a tough site to truly get along with, but I don't fault them on their reasons either. They've had problem children in the past, which started forcing members to complain a lot or go elsewhere, and the result was a near termination of RMN early last year, save for a few determined folk who kept it alive. I don't know the extent of what happened, but I imagine some of their strict policies came as a result of these past grievances.
We can't contest what other sites do, but one thing about this site is that Kaz and X-M-O both work well with the members in trying to create harmony, and while I'm sure they both have to pull rank from time to time, they are always fair about what they do.

I agree, each site has their own reasons for why they function a particular way, and they can't be faulted for doing what's in their best interest or better judgement. =]

While it's true that forums aren't 'free' as such, and are more akin the dictatorships, that doesn't mean we don't respect our members. We keep lots of rules and guidelines on display, and we adhere strictly to them. No matter how much someone irks us, they aren't going anywhere unless they actually break rules or seriously disrupt forum activity. Of course, I'm speaking from experience watching these things and sometimes being involved in them. There's nothing stopping the directors going postal and banning half the forum Not that they would ever do that.
I can't really understand the mentality of forums that would ban someone even when they haven't broken any rules. Unless they're popular enough to get away with it then it'll drive members away. Poor authority skills and all that.

Oh darn, no more plotting for me.
I know a forum administrator that I co-administrated with on a forum (a few years ago) that would pre-emptively ban members he thought would be problematic. Despite that, he was pretty popular and supplied a lot of resources (mostly web-based development scripts and graphics) so most of the regular members didn't mind, and we got a regular flow of new members because of the resources. Once he stopped making them though, the forum simply died off except for the last few staff who were really good friends already and used the forum as a place to chat. So yeah, even if popular, at some point it could destroy a site to do that to your members. =\

I don't know if he was proud about it, lol. It's very simple to get banned, if you want or try to get banned; so it isn't much of an accomplishment/achievement if that was the reason behind getting banned. 0.o
Except, normal people don't post topics on other forums saying LOL I WAS BANNED AT THIS "COMPETING FORUM" IM SO BADASS. Most normal people either...
1. Get butthurt and try to get unbanned. 2. Say "whatever" and move on. 3. Mention it in private conversations to friends.
Bringing it up here makes you look like you're trying to sound like a badass. Your wording implies that you tried very hard to be the best member you could yet through some unfortunate means you were banned and it was completely not your fault. (Odds are, it was.)

Maybe you should actually read the posts? I was banned for being rude one of them lol, wow dude, just learn to read, I dont wanna waste time trying to explain things to you. And If i wanted to sound like a badass I would, I would much rather say how much of a retard you are being I can say what I think easy enough, thats why I was banned, I guess you didnt get that either...
