I just got banned, RPG maker.net HAHAHAHAHA Options

Me and some other guys were having a great time laughing over this guys post and all of a sudden I got banned, they also said I threatened oceans life by drawing a pic of his avatar getting shot in the head lol. What ever happened to the chill forum where freedom of speech was...free?

Never been to rpgmaker.net but I've heard it was strict place.

I guess it was just a strict place, I say the same stuff there I been saying here since 2007...then again times change, sad cause I always thought ppl would get MORE freedom not less lol, the sad thing is I wasn't actually trying to piss anyone off, believe me if I was Id be having alot of fun with it. Times are changing lol.

No idea I just got on there recently, looking to expand and see if there were ppl looking for work. The cool thing was I actually hired a cool 3d artist there before they banned me.

Dont get me wrong Ratty I dont blame them:) I also dont care either way lol. Its just been a crazy day all around I guess.

Ok new update! I just got banned from RPG maker web as well lol. So I believe the only place left for me to get banned from is RRR. I dont believe there is much point in making RPG games if there is not a forum/community to share them with lol.

I don't know the reason(s) behind you getting banned elsewhere, but we don't like to jump to the banhammer very quickly at RRR (unless something warrants such an action).
Just stick with the rules and you won't have to worry about being banned. =]

True but should I be banned just for that??? The RM forums are a ghost of what they used to be, I would think that just kicking ppl would be a bad way to handle it. Especially when Im one of the few ppl offering paid work to the RM community.

Well im not saying one is more important then the other, but as a mod isnt it there job to explain this and/or ask the person to play nice. I talk the same way their that I have always done here. But its all good I guess, If I didnt have a project that I really needed help on I would just make a fun game of this...but I have a project that I need help on so this has been very strange, 2 bans in 1 week!

But as long as RRR lets me call this place home im happy and can still laugh at the others:)

Ive actually been trying to help out alot more in the RM forums...no takers though.

Well, I wouldn't recommend posting images of you shooting Oceans Dream here, but I think that's more of a discretionary thing than a direct violation of a rule. (Because obviously you have no intentions of shooting anyone in the head... I hope, lol.)
To be on the safe side, you could always say that you are making a joke (almost anything you post in the Spaminator topic is considered a joke, so that's probably where you could have that kind of fun - as long as we don't get a lot of complaints). If we do get complaints, we'll confront you about it and likely remove whatever was causing an issue; it's also possible to get a warn for something that is complained about - but we'll let you know if you're heading for a ban.

Note: I love Oceans Dream! Also, if you shoot him in the head, then all his dreams will come out into reality in one big wave. Just like a particular flying rainbow cat that we're all so familiar with. (I'm terrible at cracking jokes, so just ignore this note, lol.)

It wasnt a pic of me shooting him, it was a stick figure shooting him The spam would be a good place for that but I try and avoid that topic like the plague, just rubs me the wrong way.

I love Oceans Dream to! Ive been hiring him for YEARS! But a employee should never talk bad about his boss and a boss should never talk bad about his employee so the pic made us even:) If he doesn't want to work for me anymore thats fine to. I just hope im not a old man by the next time the new wave of skilled pix/sprite come to RRR lol.

I remember getting into trouble once on RRR, and of course it was with someone who isnt even here anymore lol, but thats not to bad, 1 time in 5 years:) thats why I like you guys!

Well, we are slightly more lenient about things, but generally the only way someone gets banned is because they practically are asking for it, lol. (Meaning that we give them enough chances to correct themselves, such that if they are banned then they are really responsible for that.)

The only members I love banning are bots - and they aren't really members at all. XD

I've had problems when i was warned for rule breaking before I even was staff...and all I did was ask the mod who warned me and was very fair and he explained his reasons and that was that. It was then that I decided I'm staying on RRR. The Mods and Director's here, i find personally more agreeable than other sites I have been a part of.

If you do have any problems with a warn you have received(if you ever get one)...just ask the mod/director etc who gave out the warn and as long as you are respectful to them they will reciprocate

Yes! Same. Ahahaha, i cant comment much since im not very active, but i used to be on another site similar to that.. XD rpgmakervx.net... =_=

i was very nervous, but told the admin i didn't like how a lot of people were treated there. Or how they swore at children... or joked about medical conditions while high...
It got into a really ugly fight, but i never got banned. Idk why; but they said they felt like being nice + i was usually a nice person + i should've live-chatted with them.. '-' "

i know what u mean about the making fun of thing too btw. U can really see it on some sites. Sometimes it's a lot easier to just not say anything and stick to lurking. Or if u don't like something, to either ignore it or say "Oh".

I think it's more about the presentation than the content in many cases.
Attitude has everything to do with it, and a bad attitude really doesn't settle well with most people in charge. As long as your attitude wasn't as ugly as the "fighting words", most people would normally be lenient regarding an argument/disagreement/etc. =]

Of course, I don't know the situation so I can't say that was the case, but it's an observation. =D
