Seems to be a close copy of that game(even the name). I'd personally suggest including it as a reference in your credits, just so people don't get the wrong idea.

Anyways, it looks to me like this is in the very early stages of development. If you can pull it off it'll be an interesting project.

Well, I didn't know about that game so... I guess even if it's similar, I didn't take anything from that. :/

OFC, if you say it's very similar, I can just delete it, because I don't want people to think that I steal ideas from other games.

Nah, it's just a very similar concept. If it's something you're set on creating, go for it. Explaining you didn't know about that game(which is a rather old game) should be enough to ward off anyone claiming you stole ideas.

You said there'll only be direct combat against heroes, so how will the game in general play out? Something like an RTS, maybe, with the minions?

I'd also suggest getting matching sprites, as what I imagine is the dark lord's sprite doesn't match up with the face.
