Where does one go to get feedback on a game with a long demo? I've had a game in progress for about 3.5 years that's gotten almost no feedback. There doesn't seem to be a place for that, either. There's separate areas specifically for level or mechanic design feedback. There's a place for project demos(which hasn't gotten me any feedback at all. Then there's the Project Showcase, which says it's specifically for feedback on games with substantial progress, but..

Well, let me put it like this. I can't go any further on my project without feedback. Any further and I'll have way too much to fix should anything need changed, balanced, etc etc. But I'm getting no feedback in the Project Demo section(which states games with demos belong there). I'm not exactly the only one, the subforum stats more or less show that the Project Showcase is getting most of the activity. But games with demos don't seem to belong there, as the subforum specifically for demos implies.

So where does a game with substantial progress, a long demo, and a need for feedback go?

It's posted in the right place, but maybe you haven't hit what the people here are looking for so they won't play it. It seems pretty variable to me what people comment on, but I'll suspect that people are going more for the RMVX/Ace games nowadays. Maybe you can try other forums outside of RRR as well, much as the staff might not like me suggesting that. RMN or RMRK perhaps, since a lot of the others don't even allow RM2k3 games. The more places you post, the more likely you'll get someone to respond.

If you're friendly with some other people or know others in IRC or such, then you might even ask someone directly and see if they'd like to do you the favor. I'd have even done it myself but I have a bit of work to catch up with, though I think I should try yours as I'm a fan of FF Legend 2.

We are really quiet atm- a lot of the staff and support staff are doing exams.

When active the support staff are supposed to give feedback.

Noted. I have just downloaded your game, and will play it now and then I can give you some feedback, I've got a small break in my work so can do this for you now. For reference for anyone else who is struggling with finding information and I haven't caught your game. Feel free to PM me, and I will add you to the list of games to review.
My apologies for not noticing biggrin.gif

The feedback should be right in your game topic, now. We used to provide feedback as a separate review, but we now do it within the actual game thread as feedback. There's been a lot of changes going on and activity is a bit quiet at the moment, but feedback and support should begin picking up again soon. I personally haven't had much time to play any games in awhile, and I'll be busy packing and moving over the next couple weeks, but after that I hope I can start to tackle some demos again so I can assist with the feedback.
