Angel of Death

Full thing
Angel of Death
There’s a legend around campus, a legend about a girl who possesses insurmountable beauty. Girls envy her and boys fawn over her. But everyone fears her.
The legend in itself seems like another Ghost Story, but even to this day, those who have confessed their love to her never return to class. Instead, when the clock strikes midnight, their lives end with the final chime. I know, for I have seen this phenomena unfold with my very eyes.
My roommate, my friend of twenty years had fallen victim to the Legend of the Angel of Death. He had confessed to her as a dare- it was all a joke. But the powers of the curse have no bounds. For whether or not the feelings are genuine and true, death claims those she rejects.
I’ve carried out my own research on her, and sure enough, Death followed in her wake. I was eventually overcome by paranoia and avoided her wherever I came into contact with her. No matter where I was on campus. Eventually, I stopped seeing her- until I got the letter.
It was an anonymous letter, addressed to me. It said to meet the writer on our campus’ Quad. The meeting time was set for 12:05am.
At first, I didn’t want to go. It was mid-January and the snow had begun to accumulate in a thick blanket, coating the streets even before nightfall. But it was because of this that I had decided to go. If anyone was crazy enough to go outside in this weather, it would be dangerous.
As I walked past the dorm’s security guard and left the building, the cold air hit me. It wasn’t an ordinary chill, but combined with the wind and snow, it froze you to the bone, even through several layers of clothing.
“This is crazy.” I thought as I followed the dimly lit path to the Quad. “Nobody would go out in this weather.” Or so I though.
As I set foot on the Quad, I glanced at my watch, 12:03am it said. I was on time but this didn’t excite me at all. I was more worried than scared or excited. I was worried for whoever had written that letter.
I frantically looked for someone, anyone who might have written that letter. A minute passed, 12:04am, time was almost up. When I found my way to the center of the Quad, my watch displayed 12:05am. Looking around I noticed a figure standing in the snow. As I approached the snow-covered figure, I could make out the shape of a girl.
She was dressed in a black dress with black, knee-high boots, with her long black hair flowing freely in the winter breeze. As I got closer, I noticed she was carrying a black parasol.
When I came within talking distance she turned to me, as if detecting my presence.
“You came.” She said to me in a soft tone. It was her, the girl known as the Angel of Death. Even in the dark, snow-covered landscape, her beauty shone.
I didn’t speak; I was too engulfed in her beauty that I forgot the legends.
“Why do you avoid me?” she asked, this time in a serious tone, “You flee at the very sight of me. Am I truly that appalling? Are you truly afraid of me?”
In the darkness, I could make out a single teardrop flow down her face.
“You don’t answer?”
I had no excuse, for I did feel some fear. But at the same time, staring the Angel of Death in the face, I felt at ease.
“I’m sorry.” I spoke in a hushed tone as I lowered my head. “The truth is, I was afraid. I saw the legend with my own eyes. He died, in front of me, exactly how the legend stated.”
“And you believed the legend was true.”She sighed as she stepped closer. “As a child, I was praised for my beauty. I hated it and so did my mother. She hated me so much she began to abuse me. But no matter the pain and suffering I endured, it never left a mark. Countless burns and cuts, leaving no sign of abuse.”
Tears were pouring down her face at this point.
“A few years ago, I was asked out to the Prom. It was the first time anybody had shown me affection. And for the first time, I felt happy. When he came to pick me up that night, my mother greeted him. From what he told me afterwards, he had complained of a migraine and my mother gave him some medicine. At the time, I thought nothing of it.”
She paused for a moment and continued. “But later, during the final dance of the night, he began to complain of stomach pain. Shortly thereafter, he dropped to the floor dead. The autopsy reported that he had been poisoned. My mother poisoned the first boy to show me affection.”
“When I returned home, I went straight to my room. I can still hear her voice telling me that she was protecting me. And how, once my beauty fades, everyone who loved me will leave me and I will be left alone.”
She could barely speak straight at this point.
“When I graduated, I left home. On my way out, she cursed my beauty again. She wished that anybody who confessed love to me would die. She also wished that I would die if I ever found love. To this day, that curse has haunted me.”
She was now leaning against me with her head resting on my chest.
“I love you!” She finally said to me, crying. “Set me free!”
I took her into my arms for the first time that night. Despite how she was dressed, her body gave off a radiant warmth, a warmth I had never felt before. It was a warmth I wanted to feel for the rest of my life.
“Yes.” I replied as I pulled her closer. “I accept your love.”
She looked up at me with tears in her eyes.
Thank you.

That was the last day I saw her. It was twenty years ago. And to this day, I still find the time to visit my old college campus on the anniversary of that cold winter night. As my watch displays the time of 12:05am, I look towards the sky and speak the words I was once too afraid to muster.
I love you

Number
Excerpt from Number
”A number,” He thought as he looked at the brand on his wrist, “That’s all we are, just a number. We no longer exist. We are the outcasts of society with no real place in the world.” He looked upwards, toward a sky he would never again see.

SHINIGAMI
Introduction
The world around us is cruel and unforgiving. Every day, countless people lose their lives. For some, the hourglass of life has run out of sand. For others, the fragile fabric of their existence was viciously severed. Some give up. For them, death is release from a pain-filled existence in which true happiness is but a selfish desire.
Suicides, those who end their own lives to escape a world they no longer care for. They see no rescue in sight, and any help that may be on its way is too late. For a time, I nearly became one of them.
Then I was saved.

Part One - Jumper
You've probably heard the saying "Bridge over troubled water." The meaning of this phrase is when a friend is in trouble, you will be there for them, always. You will be there for them, even if you need to traverse the country. I feel there should be a different definition for this phrase.
You may find yourself suspended over the waves. Sure you may be safe for the time being, but how long will it be until that bridge gives way and you fall to your almost certain demise? The truth of the matter is that everyone has their own bridge and troubles to cross, but for some, the pain and hardships life may bring eventually wear down the foundations of their bridge. This not only makes it near impossible to cross, but it can also cause them to spiral downwards towards their doom.

There's always that tension on the bridge- you never know when it will give way. So you just put it to the back of your mind and ignore it, hoping it will eventually go away. But the fear and anxiety it causes will be ever present. But in truth, as I was standing over the rail of the bridge, I didn't feel any of the fear someone facing their death would. In fact, I felt at ease.
As I watched my phone plummet toward the water below, I laughed to myself. What exactly was I hesitating for? It was as if some external force was pulling me back, holding me back in this world.
Before I knew it, I had been there for an hour, but what amazed me the most was how not a single person tried to talk me out of what I was going to do. I had spent that hour there not because I was afraid, but rather, I was lost in thought.
It was at this time that I found myself on the inside of the rail, safe, looking outwards toward the sea. Even from the height, I could see the clear blue water below beckoning me. As I climbed back over the rail, I was set in my ways. I was going to jump this time. If I didn't do it now, i wouldn't be able to.
"Going to jump there buddy?" a girls voice called out to me.
As I turned around to face the voice, I found a young girl standing by me.
"If you're going to jump, you need to jump otherwise you’ll find yourself unable to. And you'll never be able to end it." She spoke as she climbed over the rail.
"Hey! What are you doing? Don't you know it's dangerous?"
"Says the jumper."
"Ironic huh?" I laughed
"So why're you jumping'? Heartbreak? Bankruptcy? Lose your job? Spill it!"
"I don't know anymore. I came here to jump, but spent the last hour admiring the sea. Pathetic isn't it?"
"The pathetic thing is that you were thinking about suicide. There is no way in Hell that someone who has lost the will to live in this hell-hole we call life would spend an hour admiring the sea while facing his death. Wouldn't you rather live and do something with your life? Even if it is just admiring the sea."
It wasn't just her words, but the way she spoke that began to pull me away from the darkness of my own heart, back to the world of the living. Almost as if her words were the source of life itself.
We kept talking and the longer we did so, the less I wanted it all to end. I began to lose my desire for death; I wanted to stay with her.
"Thanks," I told her as she smiled, "You know, you saved me today."
She smiled, "I'm glad." It was her last smile that saved my soul, but it was that moment that it all changed.
As she tried to climb over the rail, she lost her balance. As I watched in fear as she fell outwards, fear in her eyes, my body didn't let me think. I dove towards her and puller her in close. Just before we hit the water, I put myself between her and the water to act as a cushion.
The next thing I knew was darkness

Part Two - Void
I looked around me, but only saw darkness
“Is this death?” I thought to myself, “or am I dying?” Despite what fate may have awaited me, I felt at ease. The nothingness that my soul was now drifting through was peaceful. Perhaps if I could just remain here if I could just remain here in this void.
I have no idea how long I remained there, but the longer I stayed, the more I felt myself being lost to the nothingness.
Suddenly, a hand of light pierced through the darkness and grabbed me by the arm. It then proceeded to pull me into the light.
Then it stopped as an aura of black energy began to materialize in this void between worlds. “His soul belongs to me!” A voice called out. It was a deep, ominous voice.
I watched as the black aura began to take form. When aura finally faded, in its place was a man who looked to be in his twenties. He was a tall man with pale-white skin He was dressed in a black trench coat and was wearing a pair of reading glasses.
“So you’re the suicide turned savior huh?” He said as he turned to face me. “I hate to say this, but you’re dead.” He paused, “Well, in the balance between life and death actually. Okay, not so much that as in the balance between the afterlife and hell.”
I looked him in the eyes.“What about the girl?” I asked him. “If I’m dying, what became of her?”
The man adjusted his glasses. “Well she didn’t die, if that’s what you mean.” He smiled, “Then again, it’s impossible for a mortal wound to kill her.”
“What are you saying? Just what do you mean?” I asked him. “Then what is she? What are YOU?!”
He looked at me, “A Reaper.” He answered after a moment of silence, “A being in charge of leading the dead into the afterlife.” He paused “that girl is a Reaper as well, but different.”
“The same, but different? How so?”
“You know about balance right?”
I nodded, I wasn’t sure what he meant but decided to go along with him.
“Well, there are those who disregard the laws of balance. She is one such being. While us ‘True’ Reapers obey the balance by leading the dead to the afterlife, they do no such thing. Instead, they devour the souls of the dead. While this practice does grant immense strength to the Reaper that devours the souls of the dead, this practice has been deemed dangerous to the balance and has been outlawed. Yet there are still those that practice it.
"So, what you're saying is she wanted my soul? Is that about right?"
"More or less, but a suicide's soul is different. Since it is filled with the sin of self-mutilation- self-murder, us Reapers are tasked with leading the damned soul to Hell for judgment. If a Reaper were to devour a soul that was of a suicide, it would act as a poison and slowly, yet painfully kill the Reaper."
"A safeguard of sorts. Huh?"
"Precisely, although the same counts for all souls destined for Hell."
He materialized a book from the void and flipped through it.
"Your soul is unique in that you died once before."
I couldn't help but laugh at that statement. "What? You're kidding? Right?"
"Before your birth, your mother was in a car accident on the way to the hospital, killing both her and your father. Passerbys noticed she was pregnant. And yadda, yadda, you were born dead and remained so for about three minutes, after which you self-resuscitated, seemingly unharmed, except for the black ring on your neck."
I wasn't too sure about the information I was just given, but one thing I knew for sure, that black circle on my neck was there my entire life.
"Just what the Hell is that book of yours?"
He closed it and showed it to me. On the cover was a black circle with a scythe and a sword crossed through it. Underneath the symbol was a name, my name.
"This is a DeathNote. When a person dies, their soul manifests one. Think of it like an airliner's black box. It tells the Reaper who picks it up everything pertaining to that persons life and death. The book I'm holding is yours."
"So what else does it tell you?"
"That's the strange thing." He answered as he turned through page after page, "Apart from what I told you, nothing. Absolutely nothing else is written. It is as if your life truly did end and the 'you' standing before me now doesn't exist."
"What are you saying? That I'm a zombie? Don't make me laugh."
"Looking at it this way, you were dead your entire life. In all my 200 years as a Reaper, I have never seen this before. And for this reason I have acquired permission to escort you to the council of elders to determine what exactly is going on."
After he spoke, he was surrounded by a silver light and held his hand out. As I took his hand, I too was engulfed by the light as the void began to fade away.
Just what am I?

Part Three - Otherworld
We arrived in a field that looked like any normal one. But a strange feeling washed over me. The air smelled clean and crisp. It felt untainted by the hands of man. The area around us looked normal as well, but the colors seemed vibrant, even more-so compared to the world I knew.
"We are here," The man told me as he turned to face me. "At least as close as I could get." He rubbed his head, "Warping myself from the void is difficult enough. It's much more difficult with two." He looked around a bit and pointed towards a dirt path. "Unfortunately we are rather far from our destination. It will be about a half a day's walk from here."
I looked at him, "Seriously? Why can't we just warp?"
The man laughed, "Warping one person takes a lot of energy, warping two people takes a lot more. And besides, warping is not allowed within this world, and warping out can only be done at the Reaper Headquarters."
"Oh," I replied, "I had no idea."
"It's fine. The rules are there to prevent Reapers from showing off their abilities, though there is the occasional duel. And the Elders are the only ones allowed to warp within this world."
"Wait, you fight each other? That's crazy!"
"It's mainly to settle disputes, and it keeps us in shape."
"Let me guess, because of the renegade Reapers right?"
"Ha-ha. Absolutely! We do have to fight them and some of them are terrifyingly powerful. But not all of them know how to use that power."
"We should probably get going then? Huh?"
"Yes we should." He answered as he started down the path. A half-day's journey was ahead of us.
The world we were in looked similar to back home, but with differences. There were no cars or automated vehicles or machinery. This world was simpler, but for some reason, it seemed more prosperous, and the people seemed happier than back home.
"I think I like this world already." I said to the man, "Makes me kind of wish I was born here instead?"
"This is the Otherworld, but did you truly despise that world so? Was there nothing you found worthwhile?"
"It's funny. That's exactly what she said to me and got me to give up jumping. Looking back, I think she was trying to lie and make me not jump, but it came out sincere, like she meant it. Then again, she probably just didn't want my soul to become poison."
"Who knows? She could have been sincere. But then there's the fact that you saw a Reaper."
"And what's so bad about that?"
"It helps to prove my theory. Even those who have had near death experiences and even those declared dead are unable to see Reapers. And those living are out of the question too. The only ones who should be able to see us are those who are dying or on the verge of death, or those who are already dead."
"I guess that's one question solved."
"Maybe," He looked around, "We are making good time, so we may get there earlier than expected."
As he finished talking, a carriage pulled up beside us.
"Oy! Shino! How's it going man? Who's the dude? Your Boyfriend? Geehee!" The man driving the carriage was just as tall as the man I had been walking with, his hair was blond and his eyes were orange in color. A scar ran through his left eye extending from forehead and running several inches past his eye.
The man next to me, who was called Shino sighed, "Shut it Reyden." Shino began to glare at the man. "Where you headed to Reyden?"
"Ha! The guest of honor doesn't even know the situation. Laughable!" The man paused. "The council ordered The Nine back to Headquarters for some reason that has to do with you." He looked at me, "And I'm guessing it has to do with this guy."
Shino nodded, "There's something about him that I need to discuss with the elders. It seems important."
"It's got to be Shino, otherwise the elders would never go as far as to call The Nine back to Headquarters."
I turned to Shiro, "Who're The Nine?"
The two men exchanged glances, "That's confidential; though I'm sure the council will fill you in." Shino told me. He looked at Reyden, "Can we hitch a ride?"
The man gestured to the back with his hand. "Hop in."
We arrived in a large town in only a few hours. Reyden dropped us off in front of a large building.
"You guys go in first; I need to pick up the others.
"Sure thing Rey, I'll catch you later."
"It's Reyden, not Rey. Don't shorten it."
Shino laughed, "Whatever." He then turned to me, "Come on, they're expecting us."
I nodded in agreement, I was somewhat nervous. Though I did want to find out about what was wrong with me.
As we entered the building, I felt an eerie presence around me. I wasn't sure if it was because of the world I was in, or because of who I might be. As I followed Shino to a large room, I heard a voice inside my head.
“The Soul of the Immortal is near. Unimaginable power will be mine.”

Your eyes crack open in the middle of the night. As you roll over on your side to look at your clock which dimly displays 01:45am, you feel a warmth on your chest. You crawl out of bed make your way to the bathroom in your small one bedroom apartment. The rent was cheap so you were glad to jump on an almost too-good-to-be-true deal. As you enter your bathroom and turn on the light, your eyes widen in terror at the blood dripping from your chest. With the amount of blood there, there was no way in Hell it could be yours. You had a feeling that if it were, you wouldn't be standing here.
You turn around and look into your bedroom, there's a protrusion next to where you were sleeping. You walk into the room and approach the bulge. As you pull back the covers, the room was filled with the smell of blood as you uncover a bloodstained corpse. The smell fills your nostrils, causing your hands shake as your mind goes blank. The feeling you got was not out of fear but to you, it feels more like the signs of withdrawal. But withdrawal from what?
You turn on the light to further examine the corpse. It was a young woman; she was probably in her early to mid twenties. Even with the blood, you could tell that she was once beautiful. Her hair was long and black and her eyes were a mesmerizing silver-blue. No matter how hard you thought, you just couldn’t remember who she was, or why she was laying in your bed. For a moment, you thought you might have had sex with her, but with her mangled body, there was no way that was possible. The other proof to this, were the clothes she was still wearing.
You felt that you had to examine the body. To avoid further harm to the body, you pulled a pair of scissors from your dresser and began the process of cutting her shirt through the middle. The task was easier than expected thanks to the several slices across the front. When you finished cutting, you pulled each half to the side, exposing her chest.
As you examined her body, you could see several large gashes across her near-flawless skin. The cuts in her flesh were deep and covered in blood- much of which had already begun to dry. You ran your hand across her chest, feeling each and every cut, all the while trying to imagine what kind of monster could possibly do this to someone, especially someone so beautiful.
Even with the carnage done to her body, you couldn’t help but admire her beauty. You eventually found yourself sitting on the bed beside her body, completely ignoring the blood that was still there. You leaned in close to her face and found yourself lost in her unseeing eyes. Though they could no longer see the world of the living, to you, it felt like they were looking right into your soul. Just looking into those eyes was almost hypnotic for you, as you soon found yourself leaning in closer until you found yourself kissing her lips. Though the rest of her body was ice-cold, her lips were mesmerizingly warm and enticing.
Your Heart began pounding, as if it were going to burst out of your chest at any moment. Each beat in your chest left your ears ringing. Your mind was beginning to go blank as you began to obey your desires. Your hands were shaking and were soaked in sweat. You were beginning to feel...different- as if some dormant, primal instincts had begun to surface within you.
Your body was filled with lust- you wanted to sate the desires, you wanted...her, but at the same time, you didn’t’t want her. Rather, you wanted something else. You wanted...living flesh- flesh that was warm to the touch and could touch you back. You wanted someone who could feel your touch.
Your mouth began watering at the thought of living flesh. You knew you wanted to release your lust, but you didn’t’t care how. Whether or not it was consensual, you did not care. In fact, the idea of someone fighting back helplessly as you violated them began to pump blood through your veins. The excitement of the danger, the excitement of whether you would get caught or not. You wanted the risk. You pulled yourself off the stiff body below you with such force it sent you sprawling onto your back on your floor as you drifted into slumber.
When you awoke, you brought yourself to your feet as the smell of rotting flesh filled your head once more. You had almost forgotten the girl in your bed and somebody would notice the smell sooner or later. You went to your bathroom and climbed into the shower- you wanted to clean the bloodstains from your body, after all, you wanted a...successful “hunt.” You laughed to yourself at the idea of a “hunt”
When you exited the shower, you looked in the mirror. You noticed some ‘changes’ to your body, the most prominent of which were the marks on your neck. On the right side of your neck were two interlocking spiked crescents, on the left side were three black circles positioned in a triangular pattern. Then there were your eyes. They were now a deep crimson. They weren’t’t bloodshot however; instead the whites of your eyes made the red stand out more. You hurriedly clothed yourself and grabbed the few things you felt you needed, a wallet, and your keys. You weren’t’t sure when you would return to this place, or if you could even return once more.
As you stepped outside, you were blinded by the brightness of the world. The sun was visible in the sky, but today it seemed brighter than usual. Could it be the changes you were going through? Or was it something else entirely?
As you walked down the road looking for your prey, you couldn’t’t help but look at every woman that passed by. Your eyes found their way over every clothed part of their being, from their eyes, to their breasts, their thighs and even their behinds. Your head never moved, your eyes now gave you a remarkable field of vision that extended beyond human limits. And on top of that, your eyesight had increased significantly, with everything appearing closer. As women passed by, you could also smell the unique scent each one gave off, even through the perfume, and it didn’t’t matter what side of the street they were on, you smelled everything.
After about an hour of walking, a feeling of fatigue began to overcome you. It was the sun beating down upon you. In addition to your newfound weakness to sunlight, it also began to drain you of all your energy. Needing to recover your strength, you ducked into an alley and took a seat out of the path of sunlight. Your head was feeling hot, and your palms were sweating once more. Obviously, it wasn't just the sun you were sensitive to, but heat as well, and it felt like you were in an oven.
You leaned your head against the one of the buildings forming the alley. The grey, stone bricks forming the foundation of the building felt cool to the touch, a benefit from being out of the way of light. The damp coolness was relaxing and you found yourself drifting into sleep once more. When you awoke, the sun had set a while ago, you had been asleep for several hours, and nobody seemed to notice you there.
You stood up and stretched your back and set out once more on your 'hunt.' Despite it being a cool, summer night, there was a deficit of people out and about. This wasn't too much of a disappointment to you as it meant there would be less of a chance for you to be caught, but at the same time, you wanted the challenge, you wanted the risk of being caught to be present, but it couldn't be helped.
After a while, you came across a young girl with long brown hair. She seemed to be struggling with her last-minute shopping and you decided to give her a hand. At first she was reluctant to accept your help, but after a somewhat convincing story, she decided you weren't as bad as she thought.
Her house was a good fifteen minute walk from where you met her. The entire walk, you listened to her talk about how she was from out of town and didn't really know anybody in the area- perfect prey in your eyes. Her name was Mia, a twenty-three year old, and she was studying Psychological Disorders at the local college. While listening to her story, you found it funny how you ended up carrying every single one of her bags, except for her purse.
When you arrived at the building she was staying in, you noticed it was a large apartment complex. While you waited for her to let you in, you began wondering how you would get out, but you didn't care, getting in was your objective. Her apartment was on the top floor, and unfortunately, the complex' elevator was out of service, but you didn't mind the exercise. It took another five minutes to make it up the stairs to her room. And once outside Mia thanked you for your help and offered you a drink as thanks. You accepted her hospitality with a smile.
The moment she opened the door, you shoved her inside and locked the door behind you, groceries were thrown all over the room as you forced your way in. The girl had fallen over the couch in the middle of the room and had sprained her ankle. She begged for you to let her go as you forced your way on top of her.
There was the sound of clothing tearing as you ripped her shirt off, revealing her bra. You next tore off the skirt she was wearing, revealing the second half of her set of underwear, which was a pure, untainted white. The girl let out a scream, prompting you to smack her. You told her if she yelled you would kill her. You said this with a smile o your face. With tears in her eyes she nodded in submission. To prevent further noise you used the shreds of her clothing as a makeshift gag.
More tears began to flow from her eyes as you tore her bra off and began to fondle her breasts. They were soft and warm to the touch. You began to laugh as you asked her if she was as soft below as she was above. You tore her panties off and smelled them. The scent of fear and sadness was enveloping and pleasant. This was when she began to fight back. So you use more shreds of clothing to bind her hands as you grabbed onto her legs as you began to violate her.
It was warm and moist and was filled with pleasure. At first it was difficult to move, until you noticed the blood. You smiled to yourself; she was a virgin, your first virgin. You laughed as you slid your fingers inside her and pulled them out, blood lightly coating your fingers. You licked the blood off; it had a sweet and salty taste as you began to violate her more. After a while, she started to loosen up as even more pleasure was bestown upon you, but it wasn't just you. From the looks of it, she had begun to feel the pleasure as well. You smiled and called her a masochistic little slut. You also called her a bitch as you flipped her on her stomach and continued violating her from behind.
She came almost at the same time as you did and you laughed at it. And told her she really was a little slut. Pure and untainted? Yeah right. You tossed her to the side, in a pool of fluids that was a mixture of sweat, semen and her own excretions. While you were here, you decided to wash off in the shower; you left the girl lying there, gasping for air and walked into her bathroom. You were quick and only rinsed yourself off.
As you exited the bathroom, the girl was standing there, naked holding a hand gun to your head. You laughed to yourself, saying she had guts. As you let out a roar and reached for the girl, she pulled the trigger, sending hot lead into your chest. You fell to your back in awe and began to laugh hysterically, forcing blood from the wound and your mouth. You were still laughing as she aimed the barrel at your head.
You laughed even harder as she pulled the trigger.
You smiled to yourself as the world faded to black.

POEMS

I Know
I Know
I Know

I know she’s out there
But I don’t know where
Toward the Heavens
My angel stares
Filled with Emotions
I know I see
I know that we
Were meant to be

I will dream of her
Over and Over
‘Till down from Heaven
The stars will fall
And warm Emotions
fill these halls
Through all these Feelings
I know I see
I know that we
Were meant to be

When the day arrives
When Fate bonds our lives
We shall be together
‘Till the end of time
No matter where life takes us
No matter where
Be it through Raw Weather
Or fields of Heather
I’ll always know
I’ll always see
That Forever we
Were meant to be

*Note This is the CLEAN version, meaning none of the requirements are marked. so it's just the poem.
EDIT: All Single and Double Quotations had been changed, so I fixed it./EDIT

found this, I had written this 3 years ago and forgot about it, but I feel it's worth sharing.
It's an Anti-Child Abuse Poem I made.
Re-reading it just makes me feel all sad again.

Anti-Child Abuse

Her name was Aurora
She was only five
But this is what happened
When she was still alive

Her dad was a drunk
Her mom an addict
Her parents always kept her
Locked in the attic

Her only friend
was a little toy bear
It was old and worn out
And was missing some hair

She always talked to it
When no one was around
She'd lay there and hug it
Not a peep of sound

Until her parents came home
And unlocked the door
Some more and more pain
She'd have to endure

A bruise on her leg
A scar on her face
How could she be
In such a horrible place?

But she grabs for her bear
And softly cries
She loves her parents
But they want her to die

She sits in the corner
Quiet but thinking,
"God, why? Why is
My life always sinking?"

Such a sad life
For a sad little kid
She'd get beaten and beaten
For all that she did

Then one fateful night
Her mom came home high
The poor child was hit and slapped
As the hours went by

Then her mom suddenly
Grabbed for a blade
It was sharp and pointy
It was one that she made

She thrust the blade
In the little girl's chest,
"You deserve to die
You worthless little pest!"

Then the mom walked out
And left the girl slowly dying
She grabbed for her bear
And again started crying

The Police showed up
At the small little house
They quickly barged in
it was silent as a mouse

One officer slowly
Opened a door
To find the sad little girl
Lying on the floor

It must have been bad
To go through so much harm
But at least she died
With her best friend in her arms

SONG LYRICS

End of Days, 44 lines
Originally intended as song lyrics.
End of Days
End Of Days

I opened my eyes to the world
To see what she had to give
Buildings burning, Bodies burning
Bodies of those who never got to live

I see the pain and the hate
Burning in their eyes
As those who've lost all hope
Lay down to die

I see them lay down in the fire
I watch their skin burn
Their bodies turn to Ash
My body feels them burn

I feel this world losing hope
The world is giving up, Shrouded in Despair
This world just burns away
Until The End Of Days

The world burns to Ash
Skies fade to black
Blood stains the skies
I watch the world die

The blood of the fallen
Feed these Flames of Hell
The Corpse littered streets
And a heart without a beat

We ask ourselves why
Why we walk down this path
We brought the end upon us
With our Greed, Pride, Lust and Wrath

This path leads us to the Void
Or the inferno in this Hell
The fires rot our flesh
And burn us to the Bone

We feel this world fade to black
When the Demonspawn attack
And lay this world to waste
Until the end of days

We watch the Damned as they come
And Reap the souls that Breathe
This world fades into black
For All Eternity

The end is nigh
It's do or die
The day we fade away
Into the end of days

Kids Killing Kids - 94 lines
originally intended as song lyrics (or a poem) (or whatever)
Kids Killing Kids
Kids Killing Kids

I see this world passing by
It passes before my eyes
But I see nothing but the lies
That are hidden down inside

Down inside of everyone
A battle has begun
A war of our own
A war to atone

It tears us all apart
But it's never just our fault
We don't know who's at fault
'Cause everyone's at fault

Family, friends and foes
Lets break these chains of woe
Ignite the sky ablaze
With the light of a new day.

I see these kids killing kids
Over all these little things
Why can't we all just get along
Why can't we all just sing along

To the song of a life
A life worth living
All this hate is overwhelming
It stops all of our breathing

I see the light of our life
Fade into the night
I hope with all my might
To see that light once more

We see that light when we shine
But through time we became blind
We can't see that light now
Just the nightmare that consumes us

It consumes all which we hold dear
It feeds on all our fear
Until the truth becomes unclear
And the world turns to dust
(And the world turns to dust)

I see these kids killing kids
With all this hate and pain
The suffering of our nation
This is an advocation

This world will start to blacken
When the tortured start attacking
And the Damned storm the gates
With their cores filled up with hate

I see the world cryin' her tears
When reality became her fears
This ringing in my ears
Echo through the years

It brings the voice of those we damned
And those we left behind
We call them monsters, and we kill them
But we're the ones who made them
Into the empty shells they are
Never thought we'd go this far

I see these kids killing kids
Everyday and Every week
The strong prey on the weak
And the weak give up on life

For them this pain and hate
Is more than they can take
So they say their goodbyes
And they try to take their lives

They pretend that they're okay
But inside they burn away
The flames of this affliction
Drive us toward extinction

I see these kids killing kids
But nobody ever wins
When you get no chance to live
NOBODY EVER WINS

I see this love fading to hate
And this hate leading to pain
We're all going insane
And we kill ourselves in vain

All the truths fade into lies
And swat us down like flies
But we're too blind to see
Through this "reality"

We see these kids killing kids
But we just keep walking by
And we fail to realize
That it's really you and I
We just keep killing one another
Over the simplest of things
Nobody ever wins
NOBODY EVER WINS

So Brothers
And Sisters
Friends and Foes

Let’s set the skies ablaze
With the light of a new day
A day that will not fade
Into a world that we all hate
