We could set it in a parallel world, with all things still the same, with the exception that, in this world, the Avatar died a few centuries ago while in Avatar mode, resulting in the end of the Avatar cycle. I'm good with either, really, just throwing suggestions.
I think this is the best thing to do.
Just seems like the simplest way to go about it.
I agree. It also gives us the chance to establish our own story, without fear of contradicting any of the canon.
We all know the canon and how it goes so it's likewe are trying to not be like the original story....
I hope we can make some sort of compromise..?
No? Fine, I hope it will be good either way. If the avatar is dead will there be airbenders? I kind of don't want there to be airbenders..you know what I mean? It's like they're going to be non-existant in the show so introducing them into a story makes it different from what we+e used to seeing. Are you guys okay with that? What elements are there going to be? All of them? Not sure if there really is a reason to include air but do the characters have to...for example if you're air element, do you have to be an air nomad? Just asking.
I'm good either ways, particularly speaking. We could go with Darkblade's idea of the Fire Nation aiming to attack a small settlement of Air Bender survivors, who are being protected by our group of mercenaries, this way, air benders are allowed, but they'd be very limited. We could RP them all going there first, then they actually fighting off the fire nation (And actually being able to win, since it's a parallel universe) and, depending on how things go, taking things up to the Fire Kingdom.
