I've been making the materials to use for a commercial game. The problem with this is that I have to bother with the RTP materials used in the engine. I've looked many places but could not find any ways to remove the rtp. Is there a special way to do this? And is there any specific thing I have to do to make my game playable once I've removed the rtp? Any answers would be much appreciated! happy.gif

You install the RTP separately and you shouldn't remove it - it's necessary to launch the editor. Now if your game does not require the RTP at all, open Game.ini and remove the line RTP=RPGVX.

Im pretty sure you can also just replace the stuff. Import things with the same name, like 'TileC' to have your own tileset under the C tab

I mentioned this somewhere else, but will say it here as well. When you compress the game, you can choose whether or not to keep the RTP. If your game does not have anything related to the RTP's resources, just say no. However, if you do you can either add what you've used manually, or a better option, whatever you wish to use from the RTP, always import it into the project folder. Even though it's still the RTP resource, by importing it instead of relying on the built in, the editor is tricked into thinking it's an outside resource.

Example, you wish to use TileC from the RTP. In the Resource Manager, it's a blue dial. If you import the same exact TileC, it becomes a red dial, because it thinks you are using an outside resource.

Then at the end, just say No RTP, and voila!

Thanks everyone! You've all been a big help! I tried just replacing the resources but I didn't want to compress the game with all those extra audio files and resources that I didn't need. happy.gif I didn't know the including rtp in the game option when it's compressed meant keeping all those junky files. Thank you all so much for you help! ^^

Your compressing it from your game file right? It has an option to include the RTP Data. If left unchecked, the RTP data shouldn't be included, to my knowledge.
