HEY GUYS

Alright, so I have noticed there are several event's for items that do this sort of thing (been looking all weekend). But I am working on a taming skill, rather then Item. I would love a step by step walk through how I can do this, as I can follow those best.

Basically I have this on the go right now:

Only problem is, that once it ends battle, and you have successfully tamed the creature..... I don't know how I can make it recognize the type of monster that it has caught without doing it for each one, which would not work with the common event Pictured above.
As it does not go into your party right away, it is instead, sent to a ranch where you may call on it later, I need something that will turn on a switch to have a creature appear when you go back to the ranch.

This is the skill I am using for the tame. As you can see I am using a Common event. Will I have to change this or??

Please provide a step by step... So many posts just say "Oh, you just do this, this and this"... And then Im suddenly lost again XD.

Thanks for your help.

Inside your troops tab in the database Make a variable that sets each type of monster to a designated number, then just use that number when ur sending the monster back to the ranch, if you have more than one monster in the troop, your going to have to probably use 2 variables, this sounds like its kind of complex :X. and it will get repetitive, that's one of the downfalls of eventing, u can only do so much before scripting needs to come in sad.gif

Scientist B: Too bad ejaculate has terrible packet loss
Scientist C:but the transfer does have a lot of redundancy

Oh This I know Very well, Hence why I am TRYING to pick up scripting. Ruby is just not a language I can learn easily, Sure I have looked within the script and know a few simple things, like how to move the box at the start on the title screen (Play, Continue, info), but other then that, it's all mambo jumbo.

Thanks for replying though, I'll take a look into what you said... Troops tab, Assign variable, repeat.
I bet I'm just missing something, I'll make a different save game and test it out on that before putting it in a solid play frame. RPG maker is not as easy as it sounds when trying to make a Unique game XD.

Edit:

I have FINNALLY found out what to do... I think I am going to make a tutorial on this actually with pictures and what not to walk people through. The taming skill without a script is actually quite easy when I got down to it, just includes a lot of variables to the amount of monsters you want to tame. The only problem with what I am doing is that every single troop needs to be single, so I will be uping the damage and time it takes to knock em out to make it more challenging. I think I know how to change the single troop thing as well. Further testing and I will be sure. Thanks so much lilcooldude69 for bringing up the troop tab, probably would have never touched the darn thing except for building my enemy teams later on.

yeah, i thought so, multiple troops wont work cuz ud have to use 2 variables per troop, but at least u figured it out tongue.gif
