Cool script you got here
Complimenti
Grazie
But.... does it already exist? I've seen around scripts that transform maps into sphere grids but this one has been built from zero using only scripts...

Sadly I don't know nothing about any other, but I am interested in yours. Does it remove the level up EXP or something? Can you learn skills with it? (Sorry, I haven't played FF10 in YEARS, so I can't remember how it works.)

Well it basically works like this: you gain AP (or exp, it's the same) and you level up. you actually "spend" levels to progress into the grid and you use items to increase stats and learn skills.
Actually there is no limit at how this could be used, but I think that if it is too big then the program would lag.

I know Sephy did one.. However finding that will be a task; it's also looks nothing like that, as its done with events I believe.. But this one looks decent!

@Feoden
That's... impressive. What about lag time & drawing time? Have you succeeded in reducing it? Maybe you should ask if there's a way to set the nodes without manually write every coordinate of every circle...
BTW, I can't do nothing but agreing with Vexus. Complimenti, Feo

Well.... Lag in the new version is unnoticeable. It takes less than a second to draw the entire grid, i think this is quite acceptable.
It is a bit boring trying to set all the nodes manually, but the only other way that occurred to me is creating another program that allows to "draw and move" them. a sort of compiler.
oh well, this is a little different from the final fantasy X sphere grid, although the idea is the same (you are free to move anywhere, whereas in the original one you must follow definite paths, like you do in risk when moving among territories). It seems that there actually ain't any original ffX sphere grid system... wow this is quite unexpected

The more I hear about this, the more it sounds like Rogue Galaxy, a PS2 game's skill grid. Which I liked. But that game uses nothing but pure items.

This is incredible, How many lines does this script have? Is it compatible with SDK, and tons of addons? cause there are some scripts out there that aren't compatible.
Cause after i talked to the two people and talked to the soilder. picked Spheres grid Arshes and it froze. waited a while and it just showed ???????????????? and crashed. lol

What are your computer specifics? Mine has a dual core CPU 1.66 GHz, 512 MB RAM (not the best, an asus netbook which cause almost every game slightly lag) and the demo worked perfectly.
It's not a .dll problem, maybe your CPU is too slow and/or has little RAM...

I have long feared this moment. I should have expected this.... I modified the sphere grid a week ago in order to reduce lag time when using it, but it takes a lot more time when it gets opened...
It seems that in slower PCs it takes too much time to open and the player stops working. Thanks for the feedback, I will post the other version too. It is inefficient but at the startup it is faster.
