Is there a battle system similar to Tankentai's? I can't find Tankentai's script or anything similar to it. I like the old fashioned turn based system like Final fantasy. I don't really like real time battle systems.

Yes. In my opinion, it has somewhat less customization than Tankentai, but is MUCH easier to use and sports multiple battle systems and party configurations, including 2 turn-based systems. Be forewarned; the scripts included with it, however useful, are overused in RPGVX games in general, so you should try to use only a few scripts from it if you can.

there IS a much simpler sideview battle system for instance, PR SBS, or the simplier SBS i found in the rpgmakervx.net which give 0 comfiguration and is plug n play. if thats what you meant then check both RMVX.net and rpgmakervx.net... but i really implore you to use tankentai. if you like i may even throw in some free tutorials that is quite easy to understand. using tankentai will prove godlike game making skills.

This is terrible advice ASCIIgod. Tankentai is a large, incompatible beast and is extremely difficult to use unless you're a VERY experienced user. Melody (the script TheBen linked to) is a good choice, even if it's intimidating. Jet's SBS isn't a bad option either: it's simple and plug-and-play. I would link you to it, but the site where it is posted is currently experiencing MySQL errors, so...

Thanks, I decided to go with Melody.

Just curious, do you know how compatible this engine is with others? I tried adding a reserve party script and had issues. That isn't too much of an issue as I can set my own event style party switching system, but I would still like to add other nice scripts if I see any. Anyone have a lot of compatibility issues with this system?

I use modern algebra Reserve Party (if that's the one you are referring to) and never had any issues with Melody scripts (I did have some trouble with one of Shanghai's tough).
And I believe the Menu and the battle scripts were made compatible with KGC Large Party.

Thats the exact one I'm using, but for some reason it doesn't work and conflicts with Melodies Menu. It's most likely something I'm doing wrong. How about other scripts, have you had problems with other scripts?
Not being able to use the party script isn't too much of a loss since I was able to implement one through a tedious method of event making, but I'm hoping I won't have the same problem for other scripts.

Ah you're right, it doesn't work with YEM Main Menu (that I'm not using).
But it works with YERD Main Menu (that is really super similar to YEM Main Menu) because modern algebra made a patch for it.

So my suggestion would be using the YERD version + patch if you really want to have that Reserve Party script.

Reserve party does not work correcly with Shanghai's Hospital Fees, because reserve members do not appear in the actor list (I managed to fix this though) and Woratana's Neo Save System V for the same reason.
