It returns back to normal whenever I enter any other area though. Simply too much going on on one screen maybe?
Anyone else encountered a similar problem or have a solution?

I had the same problem. I came to the conclusion that the world was too epic for the program. :V

If you have lots of events on your world map, using an anti-lag script might solve the issue.

Could you possibly link me to a script you know (from experience) that works please?
Wasted the last couple of hours opening expired pages and the one I could get did nothing.

Yeah that was the one that wasnt working (perhaps because my problem was unconventional), thanks though.

Managed to fix it in the end, seemed to be some perpetual loop of starting and stopping the music every frame, thought it was weird my map would stall the engine considering the size some games boast

It's also the one that I use, and I've never had problems with it, but I've heard others having some issues, but it's usually related back to a conflict of other scripts they may be using. I thought I once heard that it conflicts with caterpillar scripts, as an example.
