Hmm I see. I kinda have that problem but if I fatten her up I'll just think that she is too fat (in the new art) The pixel one is really thin, but I kind of copy-paste-flipped the whole pic, so it ended up kinda bad x.x I'll just change it later. Thanks for noticing it!

Why are you conforming to what others want of your art? It's YOUR art. They should be giving creative criticism, not just saying "I Don't Like." All your art styles look fine. Use the one you like best. Oh, and why does anime have to be realistic? It's frickin' art, not photography. You don't need to conform to proportional art.

Well, they didn't tell me they didn't like. They actually did give constructive criticism... and, I'm a bit given to taking opinions from others, as I think that'll make me improve, unless I can clearly see it won't help. Also, I'll most likely do like in Aveyond and allow the downloader to choose the art style. Well proportions are important. They can make or break a picture. Even in anime (in fact, in every art style) anatomy is important, as it'll look really weird if it's misdrawn.

I could argue (Pointlessly) with you about the last bit. You know, proportions. I'm just saying that you shouldn't really cater to whatever art they want, and it won't really help you improve your art style. You might lose all originality and sink into the countless list of mangakas. Just saying.

Agreed. Unless it's pointers in anatomy(and the point of the style isn't the exaggeration of anatomy)You should go with a style that you like. If you try to conform to whatever everyone else likes, you might find your love of artin' decreasing. And you'll also find you'll never make everyone happy. Some people don't like anime, some don't like realism, some don't like pixel, etc etc etc. You'll also find you'll take longer(possibly never get your game done) if you don't settle and pick a style.
Now if it's YOUR choice to change styles and edit or modify then go for it (Heaven knows I've changed my game's art style at least three times over the course of five years; but that's because I've changed as an artist. I can go back to any style I want whether it's anime, realism or some hybrid of the two or my own totally unique style.)
I like all your styles, they defo have your own touch and style to them that is your own.
@Sanctity:Hmm. If it's pointless, let's not argue then. Like I said previously... I take advice I think will help. I reject what I think will worsen. But, let's not argue here either.
@Sakura Phoenix: Yes, you're absolutely right. It's impossible to please everyone with a single style. But I'm just trying to get better. After all, I am a novice at this, and I'm really afraid to make a fatal flaw that'll make the whole game suck. Actually, you know what? You're just... right. I don't like to pixel. It makes my head ache. It's hard and not worth the effort. I'll go back to my previous style. Thanks! Really.
By the way guys, can you try to avoid posts that can eventually break into arguments? I don't like to argue, because I suck at it argumentative... thingamabobs. (off-topic: why wasn't thingamabobs marked as an incorrect dictionary word? It actually... exists?! O: )

No problem ^^
Like I said, I agree with people helping you with anatomy. It's great you are willing to improve as an artist and sometimes with anime styles we(artists) can forget that to do it justice we have to work on anatomy too. But with style choices yea...stick with you like or love to draw. (I too don't like pixelin' myself. I love the fact that others can do it, but my head hurts after a long day of pixel work. SO unless it's a tileset or maybe small characters, I ain't doin' it )
And it's okay I wasn't trying to be confrontational, but rather defend another artist/gamer trying to break into the scene. I've been there and done that and I didn't want you to fall into the same trap and start to resent your game making instead of lovin' doing it.
Yes, it's really easy to slip up on anatomy, and it's a lot more comfortable too sometimes. Yeah, that's the best. When you use a style you don't like it ends up feeling more like a chore than something you love doing. My pixel work is basically only recolors and sometimes little adjustments on tilesets xD just that, though. Thanks for the advice ^^

Sanctity, I really appreciate the designs of dragoncookie, but I was just trying to make a constructive criticism, that's all, then it's up to her whether or not to accept my criticisms.

Beautiful parallax map, perhaps the floor is a bit 'dull compared to the wall. It's a bit 'empty, but I suppose it is only a test. Very nice also the chara :3
The main issue you have is that the outline style is different between the map and the sprite. You have bold, soft lines for the map and hard, single-pixel ones for the sprite.
Well i'm trying to fix that, still, and I can try to make the maps blend with the charsets some more (maybe if I lower the density on the sprites' outlines) but it's impossible to make anti-aliased sprites, as they would have to be like 3x bigger, and the 4-frame animation would be disconnected that way.

Not sure if it's just me.. But the Title Screen's simplicity ( And the fact that it doesn't match with the little box-thingy ) really bothers me. The last screenshot; as most said is to bare.
But other than that, lovely art. Good luck on your project. > 7 <;;~♥

Aww... I really like it xD I'm not really gonna change it. But, I'll change the windowskin, when I can make decent ones. Or when I find a decent one online. ;D Thanks!

@Eden: I know, right? I wonder why. Talking about demos, I haven't got enough material for one yet. I think I'll really go with parallax mapping, but I need to make a lot of maps before a first release.
EDIT:
Screenie here!
Another WIP. I'm not very good at drawing landscapes.
