I'm thinking of making a game based off my book but have no idea where to start =( Options

I want to make the game using the same quirky style i used to make the book BUT my problem is HOW? The only chara builder i found was from Cara an its very VERY Limited to what I can use =( can anyone give me any advice D:

And what about the tile-chips : O what do I do about those : O

I'm hoping to make Chapter 1 BUT without help I don't see the point

Just keep in mind books and games are different from each other. I've been working with SBester on writing a novel to his Eden Legacy series, which the book has wound up being completely different in a lot of parts do to more freedom and writing the absence of game play. In game, there's a more heavier focus on game play and dialogue, whereas in books on description and action.

I see, so i could use character that don't look anything like the book an it still be based off it?

Even if you wanted your character to look exactly as described in the story, the major advantage of modern programming practices (which you don't need to know about) allow you to quickly swap in your desired character halfway or even after completing the game, and it would take 5 seconds to do so.

So you can start building the game and worry about very specific details later.
