This is a quick program I wrote that will split images into sheets. I find it extremely useful if you are trying to convert big sheets with multiple character sheets on them and you want to separate those. It was written in VB .NET and I used a programmer's split function as a base for it (Mike McIntyr).

You will need to calculate how big each sheet will be and what number you want it to save a file as (it will save a file as that number then add 1 to it and repeat until they are all split).

It will split the sheet from left to right then move down when it reaches the end.

New in 1.1.0: You can batch name files and many various improvements.

Hmm, this'll seem rather interesting and a great convinience to use. Many thanks for posting this. It will save TONS of time when I convert things in bulk.

Does anyone know of a program that'll do the opposite? Take a series of files and create a sheet out of it, allowing to specify the cell width and height? I know I could manually create one, just looking to optimize and/or automate the process...

Updated to 1.1.0, this is the final release of the program.

Wizard, I may consider writing a program like that next if I have time - no promises though. I'll post it on most of the RPG communities and a few others like this if I do.

Does anyone know of a free Windows Application that automatically splits up an image in multiple A4 pages if you want to print out a big image. Say for instance if you want to print an A0 poster it automatically splits up the image into x amount A4 pages. I read it in a magazine once and the app was free. I can’t find it anymore and not sure how to word it to Google search.

I don't understand what your saying exactly, are you wanting to divide a set of images into pieces such as the TileA images?

No, I don't think they're looking for anything for tilesets, or anything for RPG Maker in general. They want to take a large image, say a poster sized image and have it break up into individual images, each the size of a regular page (say 8.5 x 11) so they can put them side by side and re-construct the larger image.Like printing a panoramic image for instace.

For the poster above, here's a link with some software reccommendations: http://www.panoguide.com/howto/display/printing.jsp Plus some image editors privode this capability as well.
