Let's face it. You are a very busy person. Who has time for a forty hour RPG? Today's games are all about brevity. For years you searched and searched for an RPG that could be played on the fly, because I don't know, Angry Birds wasn't time killing enough for you or something.
Well now your wishes have been answered!
Quick Quest is the RPG game that's quick to complete!

How does it work?
Straight from the start, you're given a multitude of options. Quick Quest won't be just one RPG: it will be a collection of games, called scenarios, which you can play on one game file.

Each game's plot boils down to one sentence:
"Save the elements!"
"Rescue the princess!"
"Kill the dragon!"

Add to that, if the scenario's inherent difficulty isn't hard enough, coming soon includes challenge mode - set gamer challenges like "No Escapes" and have the game enforce them for you!**

Current Scenarios:

Scenario 1: Four Elements
Yes. Elements. They control elementary forces. There are even four of them. Go protect them from evil or something.

Scenario 2: Orc Invasion
Not Warcraft

Does this paltry list upset you? Did you want a quick RPG with a different plot? Comment below with a suggestion - if yours is good enough, you might even get a scenario made for you!

Currently just placeholder music from my other game Dungeons: Critical Hit, so all music credits go to people who worked on that. Two of the battle themes are from Final Fantasy II. I'll compose an actual OST later, unless you want to do that.

Though this doesn't look like it will have, but if there are any consistent characters could you add some information on them?

Title screen looks cool, mapping looks tile spammy as hell, concept is intriguing.

Nope, the characters are blank slate characters for each scenario.

New release:

This touches up on some issues with the first scenario. I nerfed the dragon boss and added a few side quests to get special items for each class. Also, there's a demo of the second scenario.

The idea behind this intrigues me. It's sort of a unique spin on the open-world / quest-oriented rpg.

While a quick on-the-fly rpg may not be for everybody, and I tend to enjoy something more than a one-sentence scenario when it comes to rpg's, I still want more rpg's that can be completed within a few hours versus 30+. I've always wondered why gaming companies didn't produce a series of shorter rpg's available in one package, because replayability would be so much higher without risk of boredom.

I'll have to check this out and see how it pans out.

Edit: Just thought of a possible suggestion, since you asked. If you ever watched some anthologies, such as Trick R' Treat, you'll notice that while each story remains its own, there's always minor connections (usually in places and characters and references) that somehow connect one another. In like manner, the anime Heavy Metal had something called the Loc-Nar in all of the episodes, but the last episode was primarily a story about the Loc-Nar.

So my idea is that while you have all sorts of various scenarios, you could always try to connect them in minor ways. Perhaps something mentioned in one game in passing becomes a major plot-revelation in another game.

Example: Let's say in one scenario a pair of heroes was going to save the princess, and along the way they meet up with a strange group of characters on their way to some weird tower. In the next scenario, the story could be about these group of characters (who are the heroes for that particular story) as they go to the weird tower to fight against a Vampire Lord. In the third scenario, the story could be completely different, but a woman in passing might mention how she once lost a lover to some vampire, and so forth.
