Enterbrain just recently posted an update announcing a new RPG Maker; RPG Maker VX Ace! (cue the heavy engrish)

The cost is currently set at 13440円, and for those of you who don't spend in yen currency (you're crazy) - ahem - that's about 175.16 USD. It'll support Windows XP/Vista/7 (possibly Windows 8 too) 32 and 64 bit versions. From what I can read, they've a release date (for the maker or the website? I'm not sure) planned for December 15th this year.

You can find the link (its all in Japanese) here. Currently, the web page is "coming soon."

Thoughts? Rants? Raves?

Personally, I think they could go with dropping the whole VX bit, unless this is really going to be as handicapped as RMVX was.

Only if you want to spend a few hundred dollars on an updated and improved RMVX when and if you have the original.
For me, I'll just try to mooch off my friends when they get it. whistling.gif
