Well I think the statue in the fountain is a great idea, the only problem is making the water come out of it, dont I have to make it some kind of gif or something weird like that to show the animation of it? I glad it looks ok but yeah I cant think of a lot of ppl that are wanting bird baths in there games lol

I think the desk is good size cause everything in ACE is so small it seems, so good for ace maybe not so good for XP, but I want to expand the stuff I make, even though im kickass at flags and stuff I just have a tile-set full of them so I want other things, I think I will try to do more furniture now, I see lucera or whatever on RPG maker web has a lot of nice furniture add on so id like to be able to do my own.

Here I redid the default RTP maid char, she was really old and fat in the default so I made her young and skinny in this one, I think its a much better version of her, I mean why cant we have hot maids in our games right?

I think I have shown off my skills enough in my art topic, after looking on all the other RPG websites I have the largest variety of sprites/pix work out there. From now on I will just do work for Contests, Contest rewards, commissions, and special RRR exclusive content asked by the directors.

Yeah even though im not gonna use the XP engine anymore I still like the XP char style a LOT more then VX/ACE you can just do more with them. Though I have used differnt XP style templates like this doll style. Some ppl like it, but since most of my custom work is with the old stlye ill stick to it.

I think that the sprites for XP just have a lot more detail, and are therefore much better than the VX/Ace sprites.
Anyway, I like the attention to detail you have on the sprites, and great work with the maid! It's true that not all maids look like the default. tongue.gif

Well VXACE allows to do taller characters but it would look odd with the rest of the stuff. Good example is that spear dude which was addition to VXACE I believe.

They let you make taller char but still made everything so small? Thats strange, but at least they give you the option and thats always good, the only reason I switched over to ace is its a better compress system, the XP one broke my heart. But I am learning new things about Ace everyday so maybe I will grow to love it.

Yeah. Image's own X and Y dimensions dictate how tall and wide the character can be. Engine places character correctly regardless of the size.

I guess you would have to construct all of the tiles and other items in the game if you wanted to match the size of a larger character sprite.
Of course that's getting off-topic...

Anyway, are you going to complete the character set for that character? Or are you just displaying one part? =]

Still learning more about Ace, eh there is always something new to learn lol. And yes I was just showing that one, its for the AA game so I cant show the full sheet, just showing I can do differnt styles and what not.

Ok so I am mixing things up a bit, I decided I wanted to make some normal stuff thats easy for everyone to use and enjoy. I have been doing a lot of differnt sized paintings latley, just to add variety to my work and tileset but I think I a lot of ppl will get good use out of a simple edit I have done of one of the RTP paintings, some of them are very large and white ace you dont get as much room it seems so I have slimed down this one a lot for use in smaller spaces and made the focus entirely on the girl instead of the background



It only took a few minutes and adds much more variety to your games now, enjoy no credit needed happy.gif

Yea this was my first time using the doll sprite style, I dont like it as much as the default RTP style but its always good to try something new. And im just glad that the community can use them now.
