Yes it is we get a day off work- oh and it is April 29th not May 9th,

That is my only interest in the whole waste of time and taxpayers money,

These days I would be most surprised if they did, let's face it people can come to see Buckingham Palace with or without a queen in it,

I for one however have no interest in the wedding,

Big stupid waste of time IMO. Don't get me wrong though, Kate is hot as hell, but in the end they're just getting married. What does the royal family even do nowadays?

Ackkk "Brits" I hate that word.

Well the Royal family are years out of date and the media claptrap to do with this blasted wedding, I think the older generations are the only ones who actually care,

Mind you it seems be be fine to fly the flag at the moment - normally you are hard pressed to find a Union Jack on show.

The Royal family aren't really a big deal to anyone who really has a life..they don't do anything helpful and a holiday for the wedding...come on although nice to get a day off...still is kinda stupid for something like that! I don't get a day off for a friends wedding what is so special about them!

It just seems an aweful waste of time IMO!

And I don't think even the older generation cares anymore! my Grandparents think it is stupid!

For us froggies, the British Royal family is always full of lulz. I remember when Charles cheated on Lady Di for Camilla Parker Bowles, we were all "What the hell? She looks like a horse!". Then there were Prince Harry and his nazi uniforms... and also the weird sexual scandals leaked by a majordom... Full of lulz, I tell you.
But then again, I'm sure that for you, Sarkozy is also a excellent source of entertainment... >_>

The Royal family are only figureheads of the former glory that Britain once had. The real power and influence comes from Parliament. Th Royal Family has none. I think the wedding is nothing more than a festivity for the media to delve upon in hopes that everything will fall apart, much like the tragedy with Princess Diana. It is a show, a reality show that happens to be real. Enjoy it as it was meant to be~
