So the last few days I've been looking up things about 3D modeling for my game and I kept running into something called Minecraft and it started annoying the hell out of me.
So finally I decided to see what it was all about....
that was about three hours ago...and I fear I'll never be able to return to building my game again.
I'm building an epic castle and stuff, leveling ground, building a village, underground dungeons, forges, mazes....
My life is over XD and I blame minecraft ^^

Oh dear lord.. please for the sake of games play something that is at least entertaining. This game gives me nightmares, there are free games that are way better than this, and this game is worse than WoW.

Yeah it's not the best game. Sure, it's addicting, but so are a whole bunch of other games that SUCK! The digging of the tunnels will mean nothing to the people who want to play your game, anyway xD

This is just SILLY. 0 A 0 Minecraft (ahem, *removed" CRAFT) is a giant waste of time. What do you do? Craft "removed"? I think this comic elucidates pretty much everything that needs to be said about Minecraft.

Errmm.. that comic is worse than minecraft >.<' I guess Minecraft is ok when you see things like this; Diamond Shotgun?!, here's an epic video and if it were a real movie I might watch it.

minius, I'm sure you can give your opinion of Minecraft without using language like that. This thread is about Minecraft and it's fine to give your opinions of the game, but I'm sure we can all do this in a more constructive way and without making insinuations about people just because they don't enjoy the game.
My opinion is I like it, but I don't play it. I didn't get addicted to it for but an hour or so. I definitely understand the appeal and it's what I think Lego games should have been. It's a well crafted game and it deserves its popularity, I just don't enjoy it all that much. I love building stuff, but I have other tools to build things in.

TRY IT. AND MAYBE I WON'T BE SO HARD AND ABUSIVE TO YOU. It's more acceptable to spend your entire life playing this and spending your entire life watching CLANNAD and praising Square Enix.

Sorry, that came out way more acrimonious than I had intended! D: That was my own bad. The whole comic and whatnot isn't supposed to make sense, nor was it designed to insult Minecraft; it was something me and a friend (the person labeled 'Spy') came up with. He actually plays Minecraft, and we were using a random sentence generator and based the comic off of that. I was being overly sarcastic there, my apologies. >__<;

Anything LEGO must be worth playing I mean I'll be going off to buy some LEGO to make me a LEGO Tomoya and Nagisa.. epicz :paranoid:

Yes, I made a lava pond.
If I had the tools available to me and the money, I would be making things in real life. Lots of things. Crazy things. Spiral book cases, mechanical book summoning system for my house, the epic staircase from the first pokemon movie....
But sadly I have no money and no tools, so I must content myself by becoming the mountain king. Even though my subjects are mostly pigs and a few stray cows.

Found a small fix which is still really annoying, I have to REALLY quickly tap 'W' if I want to move. If I hold it for even 0.25 seconds it'll freeze and go into a 1.08 fps state for like a minute. God wtf. Anyways just finished the entrance to my underwater tunnel, now I just have to make the tunnel
I'm now having to construct a seven layer tower underground to hold all my chests so I can store building materials.

I tend to stay off minecraft now, I had a spell on it for about a week then realised that well, nothing was really happening. So I dropped it before it became a habit. I think that video proves that it can soak in your life.
