@MrGuy0250: Yeah you're right. The piano sounds a bit weird. It's very loud as well, I made that song with a broken headset and it wasn't noticeable at that point (the volume, that is). After I got a new headset I've been too lazy to go back and fix it. As for the piano playing a bit higher, I thought it fit alright, a bit uplifting, I suppose . And for something new:Killed by CuriousityThis was an attempt at making a freaky/creepy song, while keeping a very melodic feel. I intentionally avoided dissonance, with the exception of tritonus, of course! Not sure what I think about it yet, as the only sound samples I found for the voices/tools were different qualities, hopefully it's not too noticeable.

I love Urgency. ^^ I think that it sounds more like "Subtle Urgency", because the music has the "urgency feel" but not the speed I was expecting of something called "Urgency". I think if it were played at 1.25x speed it would be about the right speed (though it would sound weird if you were to just speed it up without proper editing, lol). Anyway, it's a really pretty piece. I really like the percussion in Front Porch Jammin' and the harmonics. ^^ I know it's just an experimental piece, but I really think this would sound cool as some sort of town music (in a game) for a town that isn't very city-like. =] Going Through Motions has an excellent melody - almost resembles the Kakariko Village from Zelda. =D

@X-M-O: That's a very good point. If we talk about the feeling, I think it's more suspense than urgency, really. While the song will be playing, the player is hurrying to the rescue. The party cannot travel faster than what you're forced to (by train) in any way and therefore the whole "Hurry, hurry!" would be pointless, I guess. But yeah, it's a good point, I should probably increase the tempo a bit, because there's will still be a lingering question in the air: "Will we make it?". But then again it's not a momentarily urgency, as the train takes a couple of hours to ride. Changing the tempo is a lot of work though, so I'll see if I end up doing it or not . Thanks a lot for the feedback. I appreciate every bit of it! As for Front Porch Jammin' I'd agree with you. I thought it could fit quite well in a not-so-densely populated village. With the instrument choices it'd have to be a very specific village though. "Farmy" n stuff. Also, I hadn't really noticed any resemblance to Kakariko Village, but that's a great thing Thanks for the input!

Well, i have little time, so i will comment the last songs (i will listen the others songs later, but sure i will):
Urgency: It reminds me to star wars music, maybe its for the style of the song. Around 2:00 sounds more like an urgency, at that part the song is very tense, and i can imagine me running against the clock to do something relevant on the story. Sounds very orchestral, it a nice tune.
Front Porch Jammin': Fits on a farm or a little village, i don't know why, but reminds me to some tracks of donkey kong (from snes), its very simple but sounds good.
Going Through Motions: I imagine a canyon or something like that (like cosmo canyon from FF7). Very calm tune, i like it, My fav part of the song is when the strings starts, pretty cool part (the song is a bit short, but its ok).
Good job =)

Hey! Thanks for listening! I appreciate it a lot! @mrhawi: I like that you thought that Urgency sounded a bit like star wars. It must be the brass (trumpets, trombones, etc). Here's some more Beneath music! The development is catching speed again and so must I. To keep up with the progress made! Grace ThemeGrace is considered the capital city of the world. This is mostly because it's the largest of the known underground cities. The Royal Castle is located in Grace. It's located in a massive, subterranean water filled cave. The city itself is divided in four sections; The Courtyard District, The Noble District, The Slums and The Academic District. Franz grew up on the streets of Grace. This however, was nine years ago and back then, Grace wasn't as spectacular as it is now.
I hope you guys don't mind the extra lore! I'm quite happy with this piece. Not much more to say!

I love the narrative behind the music you post. And that is definitely well-named! It's very graceful/peaceful, and I think it works well for the background music for a main city in a game. ^^ It's really perfect, I can't think of anything that I didn't like about it. o.o

@X-M-O: Oh, that's awesome! Especially since it's for my project and not some random doodle. I'm glad the little bit of lore wasn't bothersome! More Beneath music! Flames of The Dunes (Redland Theme)Redland is the last stop for the Blue Line. The city was originally known as Freytland. The general public referred to it as "The Red City", because of what it was. The city is located in the vicinity of a very active volcano. Constant streams of lava poses a everyday threat for the city's inhabitants. It wasn't until 2185, the new mayor officially renamed the city to "Redland". The School of White Arts is located in Redland. It was a tactical decision to build it there. The White Arts include teachings about manipulating the attributes of water. The school conducts "Ice rounds" on a daily basis. Mages patrol around town ensuring that it's free from hazards, such as lava eruptions and streams. The city is divided into two districts: The Slum and the Castle Town. The Castle Town is surrounded by tall walls to keep the lava and heat at bay. The slum is not and is therefore not the easiest place to live in.
It's in a very different style from other pieces in Beneath. I, however, think it fits quite well for it's purpose! The song is meant to loop and is therefore very abrupt and short.

Wow, I really love this one. =D It's fine being short, and the fire idea definitely comes out in the music. I also like the semi-eastern music, it's appealing for this type of song in specific. (Reminds me of an old show I watched on the History channel where a man was walking across red hot coals; similar music was playing.)

@X-M-O: I'm glad that the theme came across. Thanks for the feedback, as always! As for the, history channel-coal-walking man, I kind of imagined something similar, but more akin to an african tribal dance ceremony, only a bit less crazy and mental. Here's a weird piece I made Under His SkinA quite short and weird one, I put more effort into the different transitions with the guitar to make it sound a bit more authentic than anything else here, but it turned out quite okay in any case.

Wow, very nicely done, Stern! I really like how Under His Skin turned out, it turned out to be more than okay. It sort of does have that feeling of strangeness, it's not bad at all in the very least, I think it's quite enjoyable to listen to if you're the experimental type. I absolutely LOVE the harp and guitar soundfont you've used for this song, the guitar soundfont sounds familar though, if I'm not mistaken, is that the same guitar used from EWQLSO? I have to agree with kayden though, it does kind of have that foreboding feeling to it. All in all, this sounds great along with all your other creative works, looking forward to hearing what else you have in store.

Wow lots of replies! @kayden997: Thanks for commenting! I kind of agree with you, the song isn't downright morbid, but it certainly gives you an uneasy feeling. @MrGuy0250: The VST I'm using is the "Acoustic God" from East West Quantum Leap's Colossus Library. I'm glad you like the melody! Thank you for the feedback! @Fateliante: The harp is from EWQL's Symphonic Orchestra Library and I mentioned the guitar one above . It was a very experimental piece. I'm currently working on a few pieces that includes guitars in a way that it doesn't sound so "synthy" and instead sounds like it's an actual guitar played and not a VST . @mrhawi: Thanks! If it sounds a bit like castlevania that's great! I always loved the music in castlevania . Also your english is good! Thanks everyone for listening and commenting!

Hey, sorry for not responding for so long (been away due to dental surgery - got my wisdom teeth taken out; blech). >< Under His Skin is a very dramatic piece, and it certainly felt as if the instruments were quite authentic. I love it! It actually reminded me of a story progression scene in a video game I played some time back; where a king was deciding something critical or something, I forget. It's definitely of high quality though (just like all your pieces, so you are only improving)!

@X-M-O: Ouch! Dental surgery is always a pain! Hurrah for improvements n' stuff! I always find it cool when my music remind others of other people's work, since other people's work in other games are usually far superior to mine Here's something to celebrate the Swedish National Day! (It's not our anthem. In fact, it has nothing to do whatsoever with Sweden!) Gerudo Valley ArrangementI started this arrangement some months back, but I quickly realized that I wasn't nearly good enough to give it the treatment it deserved, so I decided to hold off on it. Until I could do it justice. For the sake of comparason, I'll also link the older version. Download is enabled since this isn't an original piece.Hopefully someone will like it! Look out for more random stuff! I'm off today due to the National holiday! Also, I'm bored!
