Um... well, when I try to open the installation file, AVG free says that it's a "Trojan horse Boxed.BLY".
Should I be worried too much?

Nope, not at all! Its a false positive resulting from my using an exe packer (Molebox) to wrap all the files up in a single exe.

And with that said: Good luck. It looks beautiful, and I hope it actually gets complete. A large game you're chasing after, with big shoes to fill in. Not saying its not possible... I just hope that you can prove my skepticism to be false paranoia.

when I heard this. I was like WTH is this guy thinking!?! no one can ever do a remake of FF7 because FF7 is one of the BEST RPG ever!

But when I saw the snapshots and videos. I was mesmerized!!! It was the coolest thing ever! the sounds, the battle system and the characters are the same like FF7. This will be one of rpg games that I will be anticipated to play!

I'll be waiting for this game!

And SE thinks fans would kill them for a simple remastering of the graphics with nothing else changed. The fans here in this thread proves them wrong.

Well, I'm downloading the demo right now and starting to play. I'll edit with my thoughts after I'm done.

@Magitek: Its the same as every other rm2k/3 game. F4 toggles fullscreen, F5 toggles window size, F12 to return to title screen (Cancel on the title screen to quit, I didn't put an exit option yet).

Alright, now I'm gonna go play.

Controls are randomizing; one instance "okay" and "up/down" are "a, z, f" and the next they are ">,l,[". That's not supposed to happen, huh?

I'm not sure what you're experiencing, but I always use the arrow keys and Z/X as Accept/Cancel.

Can you define exactly what you mean by randomizing? What happens when you press the arrow keys or Z/X? Also gamepads are known to interfere with rm2k3, so maybe unplug yours if you have one.

I hope you finish this. I would love to experience the game in 2-D.

This made me want to make it too, so in a couple of years I may make the game, and honestly try to improve how the story is told.

Well, I mean let's say when I open up the game for the first time accept is "s" and cancel is "g", up is "[" and down is "alt" (I can't find left and right at all). If I press any of those buttons once, they switch to new configuration each and every time. Like accept is now "q", cancel ":", up "a", down "r". It changes each time I press the key to something new.

Also, I don't have any gamepads plugged in. I have it on the desktop too, if that's important. I'll try moving it someplace else and trying it.

I've never seen anything like that before, but I know with XP and VX, there was an issue where the control keys would no longer work from time to time during game play. The only solution was to restart the whole computer.

Have you tried restarting your computer to see if that helps?

I think you might've lucked out then Magitek, I can't find any reason why it shouldn't work

I've tried everything I could think of. Moving it to a place where I have all access, deleting and re-downloading the file, running it as all the different types it has in the properties, running it as admin, turning off my anti-virus, and restarting the computer but it won't budge. Its so strange...!

Just in case, I'll see if Ubuntu can run it. Hopefully it can!

As I understand it, Wine doesn't like Molebox, so I doubt it
