Just curious as 3D is like everywhere these days, it's not the same as the 1950s, 60s, 70s, or even the 80s era or heck the early 2000s.  It seems it's becoming standardized as well let's see almost every av receiver will have hdmi 1.4 which includes 3D passthrough, 3D Tvs are becoming mainstream(these having been going on since 2006, 3dtvs are not new)

I basically just got myself a new 73" 3D ready tv, 7.1 3D ready onkyo receiver, getting the starter kit soon.

If anyones seen avatar in 3d it's amazing!  3D conversions are horribly, horribly, horribly done!  They should be shot in 3D from the ground up!

I know that 3D is a trick of the brain, and as far as I heard it's dangerous when being seen on a regular basis.
Currently they have 3D Laptops by AlienWare, and the software distributed and published by Nvidia.

As Scriptless said, watching TV in 3D on a regular basis can cause serious damage, but even without that issue I find 3D movies disturbing and overall completely pointless. 3D doesn't add anything to the program past the "Woooooh" reaction.

In short, if I watch Avatar, a really bad movie, in 3D, I would just have watched a really bad movie while straining my eyes.
If I watch a really good movie in 3D, I would just have watched a really good movie while straining my eyes.

It's just like the Technicolor versions of old back & white movies: they don't add anything so who cares?

Like hell I'd spend 1500€ on this useless junk.

Hopefully not.

It's pointless, and a novelty at best. Until an efficient hologram is produced, I will never watch anything in "Trick" 3-D.
