This sounds pretty cool but it belongs in the RP Sign-Up, Profiles, and Discussion section.

The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

Hm, I tried something kind of similar to this, though with a Mafia theme. Sadly it failed since we didn't have enough people to fill many of the roles, so I'd like to see this thrive. But yeah Satou is right, you'll need a mod to move this to the 'sign-ups and discussion' sub-board.

Thank you for the info guys, and thanks for moving the thread I didn't see the sub-forum. To anyone that is interested in joining I encourage you to do so, there are a total of 10 spots available, didn't want it getting to cluttered and confusing, and we should have a lot of fun with this.

I'll sign up, since it looks interesting. Exactly how medieval is it (is late 19th century OK)? Does magic exist in this world, or not?

Empire Name: Trianon

# of empire you would like: 2

Size: 323 500 sq.kilometres
Population: 22 150 000
Capital: Ostheim (1 768 000 people)
Empire Bio: The Grand Trianonese Empire, or Trianon for short, known as the "Nation of dances" is a socially, economically and geographically diverse land, split into several "zones", which can only be entered with citizens possessing the proper pass for them. There are 8 categories of zones: E,D,C,B,A, S, M and O (with M and O being reserved for restricted areas off-limits to citizens), from the poorest to the wealthiest. Poor zones are found mostly on the southern and western part of the empire, whereas around the capital at the northeastern part of the empire, B, A and S zones are more common.
Trianonese culture holds dance as a form of self-expression in very high esteem, hence the nickname of the empire. Almost everyone can dance, and perhaps the most important holiday of the country is the annual prom dance, a series of balls held at the 12th of Duodecima (equaling 11th December). People receive their E/D/C/B/A/S passes according to their dancing skills, hence the belief that dance is the purest appearance of one's morality. This can lead to a bad dancer getting to a lower position in society than his/her skills would allow (since for example, a D-zone will always have worse possibilites for life than let's say, an A-zone). Trianonese think of being unable to dance well as a curse and a shame, so this practice never got much controversy, especially that married couples shared the higher rank (e.g. a C-ranked husband of a B-ranked woman counted as a B-rank citizen). Well, until, once, it did cause trouble.
About 350 years ago, an event called "the witch war" took place: a group of women well-versed in the magical arts did a coup, killing emperor Adolfus and attempting to abolish the dance-culture of Trianon. They started out by banning all dances, shocking and scandalizing the people who were proud supporters of dances. They have ruled for five years before getting overthrown.
The price to be paid for the witch war was dire. Trianon was in ruins. The emperor following Adolfus, Erasmus the first completely abolished women's rights, as a retribution for the witch war. From now on, women belonged as possessions to the man who they first slept with. Also, women over the age of 20 and not married yet are forced to state slavery.

The empire's economy mostly consists of agriculture in the poor regions and handicraft in more developed ones. Heavy industry never saw much of a development. Police forces are numerous and well-trained, especially in the more unsafe D and E zones. The empire's military force is small, but well-trained, each soldier is treated with respect, altruism is a treasured virtue among them.

Leader(s) Name: Miles Yung, Iringo Ardiese

Leader Bio: Iringo was the only daughter of the late emperor Erasmus the fourth. Since there was no precedent of an emperor with an only daughter, and women are generally contempted in Trianon, when Erasmus died 13 years ago, his ministers tried to take over the empire, but their scheme met an unlikely end, when the princess, only 9 year old at the time, made a decision to marry one the 10-year old son of the prime minister, Milies Yung, thus qualifying Miles for the position of emperor. This childish, though brave decision saved the empire from a long and taxing civil war.
As the emperor and empress, now 22 and 23 years of age, begin to realize the problems of the empire, they try to bring a change to the discrimination against women as well as the controversies around the deteriorated prom dances infested with corruption. Will their efforts be broken by the heavy resistance of the Ministers' Syndicate? (a sort of parliament)

I hope this profile is fine.
