It took quite a while to re-write most of this. High five to anyone that can honestly say they read it all.
Rules No godmoding characters, don't create a character that cannot get hurt.
No magic blasting, the characters need to rest every so often depending on the spells effects and range.
Do not control another user's character without permission, ask first and make sure to follow the characters personality to the best of your ability.
If you have to leave for some reason, please try to make sure you had your character over to someone else to control while you're away. Otherwise, that character might be killed.
At max, you can have 3 active characters. By active, I mean in the traveling party. You can of course, force one of your characters out of the party and leave them behind to create a new one that can join from one of the Sand Rats Outposts or maybe from one of the other towns. But please, do not abuse this rule.
---------------------------------- The World of Alsta had been at peace for centuries until the spirits had decided that they were done with being tools. Magic had died. It stayed that way for a year, until his army returned, the man who had ruled the ancient world for years, said to have drunk the blood of his personal enemies to make sure their life in the spirit world was hell. The man who the gods had feared meeting in the afterlife. The man who was given no choice at death, Uxire, the undead lord.
Veratsta, a large continent, home of Welstarm and Silishala had defended themselves, Strell and Wingell of the Diagan race had fallen as expected, the Diagan’s just refused to set up a true military power and suddenly found themselve at the hand of Uxire, a man forced from the land of the dead. The forest’s had fallen quiet that day.
As thought by many, Welstarm had been defended bravely, it did take many losses’ in battle, any Natural user had been drafted, regardless of age, infact, the older the better, magic is said to age well in a older body, however, no one had predicted that Uxire himself would be at the front line, he had aqcuried powerful magic, devastating magic that he didn't have in his life. The Natural’s of Welstarm had taken a crippling hit, their numbers were lower than ever recorded. Welstarm was now without great magic. Welstarm’s location however, had raised moral, the raised land was difficult to climb, it would be no secret when there was another attack.
Silishala had defended to the best of their ability, however, not at the same strength as Welstarm, outer hamlets had fallen and the main city had suffered some damage. Silishala isn’t to similar in location to Welstarm, it doesn’t have grand surrounding walls, neither does it rest on raised land, it is wide open and its wall only protect the central city.
After a month of waiting, Welstarm and Silishala began to rest easy. It seemed as though the attacks were over.
Nobarg wasn’t ready. At least not all of it. Celmphar had quickly changed to a defensive stance, it had halted trade with Kryus and the villages past the desert. Celmphar was prepared, they were always in fear of the Spirits and the Gods. Everyone else on Nobarg was in definite trouble.
--------------------
Time period notes : This story takes place almost a thousand years before the previous (at the time, unfinished) story. Why? Partly because I'd rather not personally make a true ending myself, but let those involved create the ending. Also, this story will maybe give an origin to many things...
As for technolgy level, it will remain similar, although theres no Ruined Ones or Airships, towns and cities are also a lot smaller or in some cases, maybe they haven't grown at all. Maybe even shrunk.
Those who didn't join in with the previous Rp for any reason won't have to be familiar with it to enjoy it! -------------------
Story Starting point :
The RP will start at the day Celmphar closes its doors to Kryus for trade, members will be part of the trade party. And then when things kick off, everyone will be forced into joining a scouting party. Of course, your characters don't have to exactly be happy about this.
-------------------
Locations :
Being a previously unmentioned island (It just didn't come into conversation, it was there!) theres a whole new set of locations.
Celmphar
Celmphar, one of the Remalare people's largest known cities, once upon a time, it was open to all, but it later evicted those not of Remalare kind. This event caused a small divide between Remalare kind, those of Celmphar (known as Celmpharians who stay secluded within Celmphar) and those not of Celmphar who would rather spread out and stay in company with Humans and Diagans. The City of Celmphar is large and almost nightmare inducing to the young.
Kryus
Kryus was founded after Celmphar forced non-Remalarians out. After they agreed on neutral terms, they began trading Runestone for Health supplies, although, they were still forbidden to enter the city however, forced to leave the supplies at the entrance and watch Celmpharians bring the health products out. Kryus is still small, but has recieved a fair amount of attention from new settlers and the towns past the desert. Kryus' own production is still small, its greatest product however is rune stone, which is currently very popular.
The Sand Trap desert
The Sand Trap Desert as its known by the Sand Rats is a great desert that sits between Kryus and Melra. It has several ancient ruins and includes a narrow canyon which earned it the name Sand Trap since its too narrow to really bring any large war machines through, plus there is very little water for several miles, meaning that supplies are more than vital.
The Sand Rats Outpost
The Sand Rats Outpost is the home of a group of people that in times of need guide travelers and merchants through the desert, unfortunatly, in the past, the Sand Rats have had to deal with bandits and raiders that purposely shared the name. They have very little military experience but most are fine archers. There are 4 Sand Rat outposts throughout the desert.
Coles Tower
Coles Tower is a large tower that sits close to the deserts canyon, assumed to have been used as a lighthouse at some point, it has been converted into a Sand Rats outpost and a welcome rest point for Travelers and merchants.
Melra and Nervis
Melra and Nervis are two small towns past the desert, both trade with Kryus but not Celmphar. They get a shipment of resources every so often from Silishala.
-------------------------------------
Remalare: (Rem-a-lair) A pale blue skinned humanoid, usually with silver or grey hair. Their ears stick out and hang down. The race has more female than male important figures and their 15 greatest fighters are also more likely to be taught the way of ice magic rather than anyone else in their kingdom. Remalare live extended lives, an extra 100 years similar to Elves, their appearance often stops ageing at 50-60, an age of wisdom and experience.
Many Remalare cities are secretive and well guarded, Celmphar being an example of this. What goes on in those cities is largely unknown.
Diagan: (Dee-a-gan) A beast-like humanoid creature, their large size and muscular figures put fear into their enemies, although in actuality, they are quite peaceful and only produce one type of weapon, steel claws, even then, they are mainly used for the cutting of plants and catching their food. Diagan that leave their homeland often learn to use other weapons, although they are forbidden to return to their homeland unless the Diagan kind are involved in a war.
The Diagan race is hurt now that two of their cities are in the hands of Uxire's forces. What remains of those cities is unknown, however, the likely hood of any of it being salvaged is questionable.
Human: Human kind is currently quite content, nobilty is still rather rare, even in Welstarm. Humans in Kryus are quite happy to work long and difficult jobs knowing that they'll some day leave their mark upon the world in the shape of a grand city known as Kryus.
-------------------------------------
Magic and the Spirits
Magic power is created through the power of the dead, each persons spirit is blessed with great power after death in hopes of that they might one day, fight again in another life.
Magic information Magical users need to first create a life deal with the spirits of the dead, the life deal basically shortens the life of the living person in return for greater power, the spirit is free to refuse the deal. The deal starter will lose 20 years from their life unless they are killed if the person is killed, they are forced into hell, however the ability to create fires and cause thunderstorms are often more valuable to some. The user will require breaks after using their spirits powers, and their body is market with a small seal on their wrists or necks to prove they are in a deal. Smaller spells require a single word to use and a larger one may require a passage from a sacred book. Useage of both often mean breaks afterwards. There are stories of deaths caused by exhaustion from not resting.
Some people are able to use the spirit power without a life deal, those that can are often branded as children of hell and devils, their skill is often stronger and greater. Most leave their homes and leave to the mountains in fear of being hated due to the horrible side effects that their unknown power causes them, usually strange mutations.
Spirits Spirits are the means to grant yourself power, of course, the spirits do not grant power with the click of a finger. They demand something in return, normally, 20 years of a persons life to spend as the spirits wish. What the Spirits do with the years they've earned is a mystery, although, many believe that they use them to become a living being again. It could be assumed that this is how Uxire is able to return, although, in Skeletal form.
------------------------------------
Gods and Godesses
Each race has their own personal religion and Gods.
Garvoras, the Godess of the Dragons and Silver. Godess to the Remalare people. Remalare are very protective of Dragon Kind and believe The Spirits to actually be ghosts of the Dragons, in actuality, this is partly true. Dragons allow Spirits to cross over to make Life Pacts with humans. Spirits are invisible to the naked eye, you'll only ever hear their voice. Meeting a Dragon is very unlikely.
Randelius, the First God of War and Hammers, created the First Being in his own likeness, although, in storytelling, the First being is redesigned to look like a member of whichever race is telling the story. God of the humans, but a popular character everywhere.
Gervaros, the God of creation and gold, said to be the creator of the world and royalty, although there is much debate in the community of scholars and wisemen. Said to be god of all, and also said to be fabricated.
Forastara , the Godess of life and birth, said to be the Creator of the world and its people. Godess of the Diagan people. Forastara is thought to reside in the Spirit world welcoming all those that die, she gives them the choice of going straight on to the afterlife or waiting for a chance at making a pact. In a way, she could be the mother of all life. She is said to work closely with Dragons.
------------------------------------- Sign Up Sheet Sign-up sheet Full Name : Nickname : Race : (Human, Diagan or Remalre. Or could even be half Diagan or Half Remalare) Age : Appearance : (Picture or description, either is fine) Job : (doesn't need to be final fantasy style, can be baker or butcher, even candle stick maker!) Skills and Flaws : (Basically describe your characters strengths and weaknesses, would probably include information on career and jobs or an old injury or disability.) Weapon : (If any, probably should have one just in case of combat) Background : (You don't need to go to far with this) Personality : Life deal spirit name : (make a name up, this is only for those who wish to be able to use magic) Character Relation : (To who and how. Not nessercery unless its related to another members character or you just want to add more detail. Please ask permission from other members before declaring that they are related to their character.)
-------------------------
General NotesSIR! YES SIR! Due to the terrain and weather, its unlikely your character would wear any heavy armour. Kryus weapons and armour are mainly archery equipment, short swords and short spears and round shields. Armour if any would probably be basic cloth and leather. Although, of course, there is the option of having it traded in from one of the three other towns.
Magic is not usable everywhere, there are some areas of the world that lack any rune stone which allows magic to flow around the world, which is why Rune Stone is in high demand, if a character has a small chunk of Rune Stone, they will be able to use a weak amount of magic. Natural magic users also need Rune Stone in non-flowing areas of the world. Anti-magic Zones will include areas of the desert and Melra.
Healing Water (The item that Kryus trades for) can not heal people from death, it cannot restore lost limbs either. It takes a lot of it to actually heal anything.
Death and Killing. If your character somehow dies, you cannot bring that character back from the dead. Although, there are 3 active character slots for you too use so you can easily have a back up should anything happen.
EDIT: Thanks to HeroOfHyla for the name Kryus. Forgot to add that.
-----------------------------------------------
OK! DONE! If theres anything that I may have missed or not explained very well, please tell me. Heck, questions in general, ask away.
I'm gonna take a moment before I post my characters...
EDIT: Full Name : Leon Rayvis Nickname : None that he approves of, some people call him a cyclops Race : Human Age : 45 Appearance : Short swept back grey hair, has an eye patch over his left eye, a small scar can been seen just above his eye patch, wears a dirty white shirt and a long brown coat over, has two shoulder guards which aren't in the best of shape. Wears tan trousers and simple leather boots. Job : Was at one point a Sand Rat, now he's a mentor to young potential militia. Skills and Flaws : He's skilled with a sword and a fine archer, although, because of a fight several years ago, he is forced to wear an eye patch, lowering his accuracy. He's a strong man, but he has a habit of not correctly studying enemies. His attitude doesn't help, many people either fear him or just hate him, although, intimidation could be seen as strong point to some. Weapon : Short Sword and shield Background : Born and raised in Kryus, he started out as a merchant, but found himself lost until he was rescued by the Sand Rats. He later gave up trading, partially because he was quite bad at selling items. After some training, he was stationed at Cole's Tower as a Sand Rat. When he became 40, he retired and headed home to Kryus, he decided to teach marksman ship to teenagers. Eventually, he got into a fight with a trader which he felt had cheated him, he lost the use of his left eye. Personality : Easily angered, not fond of children. He's quite old fashioned and would rather stick to his ways than give up what he already knows. He does however, enjoy teaching people what he knows. Has grown a hatred for traders. Life deal spirit name : Areos Lashin, a Remalare friend that died in the desert. Character Relation :
I'd be glad to join in. Just give me an hour or so and I'll start working on it, I really need to get a shower and grab something to eat other than birthday cake.
______Character Sheet_____________________ Full Name: Vielaga Of Uzentine Nickname: Velga (Most Humans and Remalare are unable to pronounce Vielga's name properly, and so this pronunciation is usually what they use to refer to him.) Race: Diagan Age: 37, Young, at least comparatively.
Weapon: Heavy Lance, a large spear used in mounted combat by humans, since it's too heavy for practical use otherwise. Being a Diagan, and large on at that Vielaga wield it on foot, much like a spear. Job: Outlaw - Mind you, a Diagan outlaw is different than one of other species.
Skills and Flaws
Powerful: Vielaga is a grand example of Diagan physical might. He's large, even compared to others of his kind, and his strength is truly something to be feared.
Resilience: Due to his thick fur and natural abilities, Vielaga is naturally resistant to non-bladed weapons, as well as extreme temperatures.
Slow to React: When caught by surprise, Vielaga's reflexes are generally below average.
Spirit's Name: Nelphidia Lo Alaretasa, a spirit with considerable power over the wind, but which is weak in most other areas.
Appearance: Vielaga stands quite far above most people, regardless of race, and his body laced with layers of thick muscle. Though, despite this, he doesn't appear quite as intimidating as one would think. Perhaps it's due to the long, silvery fur that falls all along his body, or his wide blue eyes, but in actuality, this Diaga seems more noble than anything. And, keeping in step with his appearance, Vielaga wears a set of heavy steel plates strapped to his body, which makes him look more like a knight than an Outlaw.
Personality: Gentle and kind is how Vielaga would be seen by the Humans and Remalare, for he seems to personify the Gentle Giant sterotype that the Diaga have come into just as thoroughly as his brethren. However, among other Diaga, Vielaga is considered rash and quick to anger. It is for this reason that many of his kin look down on him, and that is why he makes his home among the humans, who are the most accepting of his nature.
Background: Like most people, Vielaga has a long and interesting history full of intricate sub-plots and innumerable twists. However, that is all in the past. All that anyone other than Vielaga himself needs to know is that he was once a great warrior who defended his people, and was exiled for his trouble. So now he makes his home in Kryus, working with the various trading groups to keep their shipments safe and leading an otherwise quiet life.

Can't guarantee I'll get all this right, but hey ho, I don't pay much attention when reading these things.
Full Name : Milo Clause Nickname : Race : Half Remalare-Half human, though the exact ratio is uncertain Age : 28 Appearance : Fair blonde hair and light brown eyes, strong slim build. He wears a mixture of scavenged and stolen leather clothing, with very little of it being bought or given. It's hard to ever catch him not smiling. Job : Goods courier. It's Milo's job to ensure that the rune stones traveling from Kryus to Celmphar do so safely. Skills and Flaws : Milo is often the most skilled archer you've ever seen, firing so well his arrows seem to curve around corners and ignore the wind, then sometimes his firing is so shoddy that he hits his allies. He desperately tries to improve his skill and find the source of his problem, causing him to put all his money into practice. However, his poverty-esque life style has forced him to become very resourceful, saving money from almost nothing at all. Weapon : Bow and Arrow. Milo is sufficient, most of the time, in any kind of long range weapon. Background : Milo was kicked out of Celmphar, or that's the way he tells it, at a very young age. Always sporadic and optimistic, he's made plenty of friends and partners throughout his time in Kryus, though his human heritage has been questioned many times. Few of his acquaintances believe he's half human at all, but agree he's not pure Remalare. When Milo arrived in Kryus, he already had a bow in his hands and an arrow on his back. With that single arrow he successfully took down three bandits in one shot, earning him his job. Within the first week however, Milo had made several dodgy shots. As time progressed he was kept on board. It seemed that the more important the cargo was, the greater Milo could protect it. To this day he has never once allowed a shipment of Rune stones to be taken, nor has he ever failed a trick-shot within the city walls. Milo has strong suspicions as to why he sometimes cannot fire an arrow well, but has no way of proving them.
Personality : Milo is optimistic, believing deeply that the harder you try to the better things get. He's dedicated, fairly intelligent, and quite sensitive. Life deal spirit name : Milo is a natural magic user, though almost completely unaware of it. This is why his skills increase dramatically whenever he is around rune stones Character Relation :

In no small part due to his origins, Sareth is mischievous, sneaky, heartless, ruthless, you name it. However, he has an outstanding sense of loyalty and is very strong willed. He holds great respect for the Sand Rats for saving his life and, as such, will carry out any orders they give to him without question.
Background:
An "accident", Sareth was abandoned by his parents at a very young age. He roamed the streets of Melra for some time until he got himself involved with a delinquent group of children who called themselves the "Desert Captains". The Desert Captains were a group of kids, with ages ranging from 10 to as much as 17, who were fairly know for several thefts. At the time, Sareth was 14 years old and was know among his "brothers" for being great with a slingshot and having very quick feet, as such, he was usually called by "Rat". As their base, they had an old abandoned shipyard, where they planned out their thefts, slept and socialized with each other. This "brotherhood" of young thiefs lasted for a while, until their base was discovered by local authorities. Each and every one of the Desert Captains were hunted down and exiled from the city, forced to roam the Sand Trap Desert until their deaths. Sareth got lucky, however, and bumped into a group of Sand Rats, who promptly took care of him.
Sareth was forever in the debt of the Sand Rats and swore allegiance to them, ditching the nickname of "Rat", mostly out of respect, and trading his old slingshot for a crossbow he built himself, with the help of other Sand Rats. He named this crossbow "Peter Bolt", the nickname of the Desert Captain's leader. Ever since then, he's been training with his crossbow and devoting himself to the Sand Rats's purpose.

Once he hit 20 he still fought, but only when he needed to. He then became a mercenary and used his fighting skills to complete jobs. Personality : He is very impatient, he can never sit down doing nothing when theres important work to do. He doesn't usually like thinking or taking about his past since of the horrible memories. He knows nothing of greed since he always had to work for what he wanted. Also, with his fighting skills he sometimes defends people if there in a tight spot. However, he hates seriously harming people, and only uses his claw if there really is no other way at all. Life deal spirit name : Zeke Echon - Uses lightning magic to power up Felix (He basically just uses Buffs on Felix) Character Relation : None

There was no specific way to approach it. I think I was the only spirit pact when the first WoA started though and my spirit talked to me constantly. When Nicsp became a spirit pact he also had his spirit talk to him. Generally the spirits had an innate knowledge of magic, as they resided within the aether (a timeless place of the undead made out of magic)
You pact doesn't 'float around' as such, but they're like an extra voice in your head. Sometimes when meditating or sleeping or injured, pacts would go inside their own minds and speak to their spirits face to face, but most of the time they were just voices in their head that granted them the ability to use magic.
This is only how things were done though, Alsta has always been about letting the RPers create the world itself. Rune stones, for example, are an entirely new thing... So if that's different then pretty much anything can be different. If you're still curious you could always read through some of the old WoA threads.

Why yes good sir, you can! They are intended to be rare (though last time around we had three in total I believe... One of them was dead, the other was a bad guy, and the third one was Milton who played Aggie)
We invented a kind of ruling to it, or Milton did anyway Natural magic users excel in classical 'spells' such as alchemy and incantations. However, this isn't necessary. WoA is pretty much a sandbox where you can do what you like. Though apparently we need rune stones now if we're magic WELCOME TO ALSTA

Don't be silly Sparrow, that'd require me to actually pay attention.
"Ye', I seen 'im. 'e's a ro'en bastard, 'e is. A demon in 'is own righ', ya could say. So young, ye' so... 'Orrible." ~Citizen of Kyrus when questioned about Zeckary
Full Name: Zeckary Diei [Zeh-Carry] [Dee-Ay] Nickname: The wraith of Harrag Race: Human Age: 19 Appearance: Zeckary's natural magic has mutated him both mentally and physically. He has a pair of long, thin white horns which twist from his forehead, with their tips passing the back of his head like greased-back hair. He also has normal eyes by day, that glow a crimson hue at night when the moonlight hits them. Job: None, he is simply a wandering magister Skills and Flaws:
Skills: Magical affinity - Zeckary has a slightly larger pool of magic than most in his situation. He still needs to rest after casting, however he can generally cast more spells before becoming fatigued. *Pinky promise not to over do this*
Researcher - Zeckary loves the theory behind the magical arts, and so he constantly has ink and scrolls with him. Because of this, he often manages to imitate simple spells that he witnesses, allowing him to then cast them.
Flaws: Perfect mind, fragile body - Because he spends so much time studying and practicing the arcane arts, Zeckary is physically weak. He sweats easiliy and often gets stitches when jogging even short distances. This means he often has to take breaks.
Late childhood - Because Zeckary had very little in way of a childhood and spent much time in an atmosphere of isolation, the attitudes and stage of questioning usually experienced during adolescence only shows itself at his current age while surrounded by the party.
OCD - Zeckary has trouble performing even trivial tasks. When chanting magic he sometimes finds himself repeating words to make them clearer or to make it "feel right" in his throat. He feels the need to wash his hands before and after touching anything that isn't of his own posession.
Weapon: He is armed with no more than a rusty iron axe his father used to chop trees Background: Zeckary grew up in a small farming community called Harrag, to the far East of Kyrus. Here he lived happily until he was four years old. It was while he was four that he discovered his natural potential in magic; his greatest ally, and also his greatest enemy. He kept his powers a secret since even at his young age, he knew that they would not be appreciated. On his ninth birthday however, he let a blast of fire loose from his gullet by accident as his anger took physical form at a long-time enemy of Zeckary's family, who Zeckary had caught sabotaging their crops. The flames destroyed the man's land and left him severely burned, and yet there were no rune stones in the town. He was driven out in typical monster fashion, when the town paraded with torches and pitchforks. Only once had Harrag ever seen a naturally-gifted magister before, and she was not even from the town. That year, rain did not touch Harrag's ground, and all of the livestock died of a strange infection in the grass. She was clearly responsible, and so the people of Harrag would not make the same mistake twice.
Zeckary escaped, but only barely, and spend days traversing through an underground water system. He spent the next decade doing odd jobs for people to hire rooms at inns and buy just enough food and water to keep him in a somewhat healthy state, while devoting most of the time to study of magic. His reasoning for joining the party? Simple really. Power. Greed. He may seem to be a poor soul, but he is also a dark soul. The magic within him has twisted his heart and mind over the years... Among other things. Personality: Zeckary is terribly mistrusting. He is scarcely optimistic during dark times, perhaps due to the chapter of his life spent on the run. He is very quick to embrace new ideas, and enjoys learning about top-of-the-range technology which leaves him with less time to use, or even care about more primitive equipment. When performing even minor tasks, Zeckary's sever OCD kicks in. Ultimately, Zeckary can very easily slow down his comrades. All he truly has is power, and funnily enough, that is all he truly wants in life. He has also become accustomed to seeing things, horrific things, most likely linked to his destiny; that of an abomination. An unwanted entity. A monster. Life deal spirit name: None - He is a natural magister Character Relation: Not related to any of the party

Yeah, a lot of lore and stuff was developed by those who had joined. For instance, I never actually thought about having spirit's actually talk or interact at all.
Yeah, so probably expect things to come up during the RP like that.
BTW, in this time period, Natural Magic users would probably be more slightly welcome than before, but still looked down upon. Welstarm drafted them into the military as weapons, not as people.
Oh that reminds me, don't forget about Pact Marks if you character has any form of magic. One mark on your neck or wrist.

We invented a kind of ruling to it, or Milton did anyway Natural magic users excel in classical 'spells' such as alchemy and incantations. However, this isn't necessary. WoA is pretty much a sandbox where you can do what you like. Though apparently we need rune stones now if we're magic
Ain't I the worst.

Holy friggin' sh*t! O_O WoA once again has one of the best stories ever.
God I wanna join so bad. I've always wanted to try a Remelare. Sadly, my net is diced, and my sister hates it when I use hers so...Be sure of my return once I get everything settled.
Thats a shame, but don't worry, theres several pit stops so you should be able to join in with no trouble.
Oh and yes, you're both accepted into the RP which will probably start Monday.

I have to say, Trickster, Zeckary seems like a cross between Damien, Nobu, and Dracula
Damien Howler being a dedicated mage with ego problems and an appetite for knowledge and destruction Nobu Ishimak (probably spelt wrong...) being a blood thirsty Diagen with people problems Dracula being a blood sucking vampire
Anyway, I won't be doing magic as much this time around (unless I make another character... I could make one of Damien's ancestors) so if you ever need an idea for a spell just call my way, I'm loaded with them

Damien and Nobu are both from the original WoA So it's no surprise. Damien was my first character, and is still alive in the third chapter. Spirit made Nobu, who is also still living. You'd expect one of them to be dead though because they've been fighting since page 3
Anyway, DB, how is this party of ours coming together? Are we just going to wing it like the start of WoA?

Right...So, i got a bit hyped and forgot one important thing. I'll be out in family vacation for quite a while, approximately two weeks, actually. And won't be able to post in that time, (Unless my parents bring our laptop.) In any case, if i don't post, you know why. We'll be leaving Tuesday so i'll probably be able to make my introduction post, i'll probably only be able to join the party later, though. Again, sorry about this.

Actually, Aggie's strengths and limitations are more due to the way she knows, thinks and feels than any actual way natural magic functions. I basically saw naturals as being unique not only from pact mages, but from each other; since their magic actually comes from their own bodies and minds rather than an external, unified power source. Everybody thinks differently, so every natural mage does things differently, with only the basic techniques being universal. Most of Aggie's spells, for example, came about as evolved practical jokes and sight gags due to her impish sense of humor, and her quick wit and fertile imagination make her a great improviser. She's never developed any really devastating offensive spells because of a traumatic experience with destructive magic early on, or any good healing spells due to a lack of medical knowledge beyond basic first aid. She relies on incantations and material components because it helps her visualize the effects and keep her mind focused; it's the way she was taught to do things.
So essentially, natural magic is born of the users thoughts, experiences and emotions, and works completely differently in every case. The way Aggie does things will probably not be the way Zeckary does things.
Anyway, posting for that, plus interest. It's getting late here; I'll try to post my character in the morning.

A project developed by Ambry. This used to be my old RMXP project but I converted it to GM8 and now Construct due to the game play possibilities. It's an action platformer with RPG elements and slight twists here and there. The project is based on 'The Seventh Tower' series by Garth Nix, but I assure you, I'm changing a lot of things!
